Two weeks later, not only had I survived an amazing double date with Melody and Train (without curtsying), but the renovation of Flash's house was also almost done, which meant we could move in. Dad picked up one of my bags. "I'll help you load your truck."

While Flash and Dad took my bags outside, I hugged my mom, and then made my way out to the truck.

He grinned, rolling down his window as well. "You ready?"

We backed out of the driveway, and I followed him to our new home. We pulled into the garage, and he closed the garage door before coming to my car to let me out.

He grabbed my bags and headed into the brand-new kitchen. The giant marble waterfall island now faced the wall of windows taking advantage of the panoramic view of the water and I loved everything about it. We had a small sink and drawer dishwasher in the island, along with double sink and three-tiered dishwasher across from the island which gave us lots of options for entertaining.

We still had window coverings, dishes, and paint touch-ups to do. We also needed some furniture pieces, but they weren't urgent, so we planned to get those over time.

"Can we get naked right now?" I asked.

"Right after I give you this," he said, handing me a long, thin jewelry box.

"More gifts?" I asked, opening it to find a beautiful silver locket attached to a delicate silver chain. He'd put the picture he'd taken of us on his deck inside and I smiled. "Oh my god, it's beautiful."

"There's a tracker inside. If you're ever in a situation where you need help, press anywhere on the locket and it'll send a signal to my phone, Hatch's phone, and the club's central phone."

"Sure."

I faced him. "Do you think I'll need it."

"Let's hope not."

"Where's your necklace?"

"Mine's in my ring," he said, showing me the skull ring he always wore on his right hand. "All of us wear one. And now that you're an old lady, you're protected."

"Well, I love it, and I'm not going to think about the fact I might need it someday."

"I can live with that."

"So… can we get naked now?"

He laughed. "We can."

I grinned, following him down the hall to the master bedroom. Once inside, he pushed open the door, and I couldn't stop a little squeal.

"Parker Wallace, what have you done?"

The space had been transformed. There was a king-sized, navy-blue upholstered bed that sat across from new sliding doors out to the deck facing the water. We'd wake up and be able to watch the boats going by, or step onto the deck with our morning coffee and do the same.
