Catherine POV

"Leah?" I gasped, seeing the girl sitting on the edge of the bed. My face heated, and my body stiffened under Sam's strong arms.

Leah was playing with the hem of her shirt, unconcerned that we had just entered my room.

"What are you doing in here?" I spat in shock.

Did Leah just listen to Sam, and I'm mating in the bathroom?

A small smile was tucked at the corners of her lips, confirming she had sat there for a while, listening to our moaning.

F*ck, this was so bloody embarrassing!

"And who let you in?" Sam growled darkly at her, his eyes changing to black. Luka must be on the surface, and he wasn't too happy about her being there.

I rubbed Sam's shoulder, trying to calm him down. We were both butt naked, and seeing Leah sitting on my bed in my room made both of us feel uncomfortable.

Leah slowly lifted her head and searched my gaze. Surprisingly, she didn't even glance in Sam's direction.

I internally sighed, relieved. At least most of Sam's naked frame was hidden behind mine. He was holding me, his hands supporting my ass, keeping me in place against his sculptured, rock-hard chest.

"My apologies, Kate," Leah said, unconcerned.

I narrowed my eyes at Leah; her mouse-like attitude had changed to a more assertive one.

Is it because she found her mate?

"Alpha Colt, let me in," Leah said. "Sarah, send me to come find you."

Sarah?

My eyes widened, realizing that I had forgotten about our appointment and that I might be late.

Oh Goddess, how could I forget?

"Shit! What time is it?" I asked, searching for something to tell me the time.

Sam lifted his shoulders in an 'I don't know' and 'I don't care gesture'. He wasn't pleased by the idea that we were interrupted.

"Almost 7 p.m.," Leah said, getting off the bed.

"Crap!" I said, feeling embarrassed that I was late. Our appointment was at 6:30 p.m.

"Tell Sarah I will be there in ten minutes."

Leah nodded, got to her feet, headed toward the door, and left.

Sam chuckled as soon as the door clicked shut.

"What's so funny?" I asked, feeling my face still burn out from embarrassment.

"You," he said, setting me down on the bed.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, feeling annoyed.

"You should have seen your face!" He laughed, heading to get my clothes.

"There was nothing wrong with my face," I argued.

"Oh, yes, there was," Sam yelled back from the walk-in closet. "You were checking if she would dare look at my handsome and gorgeous body. Are you that insecure and jealous?"

"I am neither," I said, folding my arms around my chest.

"It doesn't look and feel that way to me," Sam said, handing me a white shirt and a pair of blue jeans. "Why are you feeling insecure?" He asked.

"I am not," I growled. "Why would you think I am?"

"Because you are a pregnant she-wolf with three handsome mates," Sam said. "Every she-wolf stops, gawks at us, and wants our number."

"Not every she-wolf," I argued, rolling my eyes.

"Name one!" Sam said, waiting for my answer.

"Me!" I said. "I never asked you for your number. You gave me your number!"

"But you wanted to," Sam said, leaning closer to me.

My breath hitched, and I became intoxicated by his rich and warm summer breeze scent.

"Maybe," I whispered back, feeling drunk. "But I will never admit that."

"Are you trying to play hardball with me, dear mate?" Sam asked, his voice turning husky and full of lust.

My core clenched, enlightening a wildfire of desire inside me. I wanted him to blaze that fire inside me.

"Always..." I managed to mutter, closing my eyes and giving in to temptation.

My core was begging to feel him inside me. My juice is already soaking the sheet beneath me.

"I can smell your arousal, little mate," Sam said, nipping the side of my neck.

A moan escaped my lips, and my arms automatically snaked toward his nape.

I was lost in his magical love spell, and I was his willing victim.

Sam suddenly froze, and my eyes flew open, looking at him confused. He had this cocky smile that would break any girl's heart just seeing him painted on his lips.

"What are you doing?" I asked, surprised at his action.

Sam licked his lips and seductively lifted an eyebrow.

"Princess," he said, moving his hands over my breasts and taking one of my nipples into his mouth.

I curved my back, moving my hands through his hair.

"Princess, if we don't stop now," he said between sucking and pinching my nipple. "We will anger Sarah, and I don't want to get on her wrong side."

A giggle escaped my lips.

Is he scared of Sarah?

"You think that's funny?" Sam asked, surprised at my reaction.

"Yeah," I said. "The big bad wolf is scared of a little red-headed she-wolf! That is hilarious!"

Sam got up and tossed my shirt toward me.

"You haven't seen her fighting Brian, have you?" He asked. "She took a rogue beta wolf down!"

I narrowed my eyes, surprised. I heard about what Sarah did, but the way Sam was explaining it, he sounded a bit scared, with a hint of wonder mixed into it.

I know that it is said that only rank wolves are capable of taking down other rank wolves, but Sarah has always been given warrior status at most. She was good, but I never had the opportunity to watch her train or fight after I left for rehab.

Was it possible that Sarah had ranked blood flowing in her veins?

I have never asked Sarah about where she came from; to be honest, I never cared.

My thoughts shifted to Brian.

Did he deliberately give Sarah the upper hand? Did he let her win, and if so, why?

"What's wrong?" Sam asked.

"Nothing," I said. "Just thinking. Now hand me my undergarments and pants before we have a crazy red-headed she-wolf barging in here."
