Freda’s POV

I lay on the massage table, covered by a warm blanket. Lisa, the therapist, entered. A male had arrived before Lisa but Damien had shooed him off. He couldn't believe a male was a massage therapist and he couldn't let him touch me.

Christie stayed beside me like she would learn from Lisa too. "Hello, my Queen. Today's focus is relaxation and easing any discomfort."

I believe Lisa was trained enough to understand that she wouldn't mention being here for an after-sex massage. I did not want to feel embarrassed in front of both ladies.

Lisa's skilled hands began with gentle strokes on my lower back. "Let me know if the pressure's okay?"

I nodded, feeling tension melt. The thought of Damien crossed my mind again as Lisa targeted my glutes and thighs.

"That feels amazing," I whispered.

Lisa smiled. "Good. Now, let's work on your abdomen."

With gentle circles, Lisa eased my abdominal tension.

"Your body's responding well," Lisa said. She did well in encouraging me. At some point, I did feel pain, but Lisa handled it professionally. As the massage progressed, my breathing slowed. She incorporated deep breathing exercises. "Inhale deeply...hold...exhale slowly."

My mind quieted. The massage concluded with gentle stretches.

"Take your time getting up," Lisa said.

I slowly rose feeling less of what I felt before. I walked some steps further too. It felt good.

"Thank you, Lisa. That was incredible." I commended

Lisa smiled. "You're welcome. Remember to stay hydrated. We would do this more often till you see completely okay" she said

I felt relaxed, stretching also.

"And…" she paused as she tried to leave. "Please avoid sex for now till your massage therapy is completed. We want to make sure the soreness does not expand."

I flushed at the mention of sex, looking over at Christie who had her face in a wide smile. Lisa shouldn't have said the word out loud.

Or was it because these vampires were way older than me and these things did not fascinate them any longer?

Lisa walked out of my room, ensuring to give me some lotion and medication to soothe my pain.

"Well, that was…something" I said after she left. Christie blushed. "Why do you smile, Christie?" I asked like I didn't know what she was up to.

"It seemed that you were shy to talk about it, my Queen. But every house heard your screams and moans yesterday. We all know what happened."

I froze. "What? What moans" Christie opened her mouth like she was about to demonstrate. I stopped her. I didn't mean she should get literal.

"King Damien sure did something to you last night, we hope he didn't scar you too much."

"What do you know about Christie?" I feigned as I paced the room, trying to practice walking easily.

She chortled like a toddler. "I do know a lot about these things," she muttered. "At some point, I was almost sold out to the blood club by Lady Agatha. I got disciplined by someone I didn't know and could only see his frame in the dark. He kept coming back and insisted I used blindfolds. He never spoke to me either, I only recognized his moans." She blushed. "He gave me some experience and I must say I enjoyed it"

"I came back to the Castle when Prince Damien ordered that ladies below thirty years of age should not be in the blood club. That was when I came back to the castle with Lady Agatha maltreating me as usual.

I paused, my face softening but also amazed at Christie's experience. I didn't know what emotion to express since she enjoyed what was supposed to be a rape as it was not from her consent. But her face looked radiant when she talked about it and it made me feel like at some point, she consented to wanting it.

"I'm sorry, all that happened to you," I said.

"It's okay, my Queen. I am over that. It's been a long time. I like someone else now and I wish to experience what you and the king have with him also" Her face turned red.

How could she wish for what Damien and I have? Damien and I were just getting to know each other in preparation for our marriage. There was never any courting or pre-existing life or crush. It just happened.

"This man that you speak of so sweetly? Is it Lady Agatha's son?" I asked, remembering she had told me about him before. She nodded. Considering how she had been treated by Agatha, I doubt a bond could ever flare between these two, and even if it did, Agatha would be the weapon fashioned against it.

"He gave me this, the last time he visited." She showed me a flowery bracelet on her wrist. " I heard from the other maid that it cost a lot. He is an investment banker, he has a good job."

"Do you think you want to tell him about your little crush?" I asked.

"No." She snapped. "What if the gifts were just him being nice? If I tell him, he might stop and stay away from me."

" I do not think so. He happens to give only you in the palace. I think he likes you too"

"That is ridiculous, my queen. He is way higher than me. The other maids are speaking to Lady Agatha about courting him. I would never dare."

"But he doesn't give gifts to the other ladies," I added.

"He pities me. That must be why. I am the only less-paid maid. Maybe he thought he could make up for his mother's decisions" she said.

I nodded. "If you think that is what it looks like. I am going to agree with you. But he is a nice man and age is not on your side either" I laughed after saying it, considering she was a vampire, and old age without changing youth features was their thing.

She laughed also. "As a hybrid, I have been stuck at age thirty for a long time

now" she laughed.

"Well, lucky you. It gets worse from there" We both laughed.
