"You guys gotta at least give me a straw mat!" Matt grumbled, eyeing the rope he'd been twisting all day, clearly annoyed.

"Deal with it yourself!" I shot back. I wasn't about to babysit him. Letting him stay was already more than generous!

After sorting out Matt's drama, it was super late. We didn't have time for anything else, so we just grabbed a quick bite and crashed.

The next morning, before the sun was even up, I started hearing animal noises. They were all over the place, and I couldn't tell what they were. It was the first time I'd heard so many different animal sounds, and it kinda threw me off.

But thinking back, I realized I'd never been on duty at this hour before.

"Time to switch shifts, Carl." A woman's voice came from behind me.

It was Ivy. I turned around and was greeted by a pair of ample breasts. Was this really Ivy? And why was she so close? I gulped, too stunned to move, but Ivy just laughed and slowly stood up.

Seeing her full, round breasts move away, I finally exhaled in relief.

Maybe it was because of her age that her figure was more voluptuous than the other girls in the camp. They had good figures too, but they were still students. Ivy, on the other hand, was a movie star, and her body was on another level!

Just as I was about to get up, she placed a hand on my shoulder.

I thought she was gonna give me a massage. I was surprised but didn't move. Then, out of nowhere, she wrapped her arm around my neck.

Her chest pressed against my back, and the soft touch made it impossible to resist.

I stiffened up, feeling the warmth from behind. Her body was soft and firm, and just the touch on my back was enough to make my mind wander.

We were both almost naked. Her swimsuit had been turned into a makeshift fire starter, and her short top barely covered her breasts. If Ivy raised her arm even a little, everything would be exposed.

And with her current position, her clothes rode up, exposing her entire breast against my back.

"Thank you." Her voice was so close, and the soft sound in my ear was as soothing as a wind chime.

I gently grabbed her hand and pulled her to my side. Honestly, if I didn't do that, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to control myself. Any guy would struggle with that kind of temptation!

"It's time to switch shifts, why aren't you resting?" Ivy looked at me, her eyes sparkling.

"You always volunteer for this shift. Why?" I asked, noticing her lips curling up and her eyes fixed on the rising sun. I felt a bit envious.

Her eyes showed she was really enjoying the moment. The morning sun bathed her in a golden glow. Ivy was something else, finding joy in such a tough environment.

"Because I love the sunrise." Her eyes said it all. I mean, who else would smile like that on this deserted island unless they genuinely enjoyed it?

I plopped down next to her, watching the sunrise as the dawn slowly turned into daylight.

"What about you? Why aren't you sleeping?" she suddenly asked, turning to look at me.

For a second, I didn't know what to say. Honestly, I wasn't sleeping much these days. My body had gotten stronger, and I didn't need as much sleep. While everyone else needed seven or eight hours, I was good with just two or three.

In the early mornings, when no one was around, I'd check myself out. My eight-pack abs were now fully defined, and my whole body had gotten more muscular. I was bigger and stronger than before.

Soon, it was full daylight, and I had to get ready to leave the camp.

From what we could tell, as long as we stayed on this island, we'd be under attack from those weirdos. We had no clue how they kept finding other camps and attacking them out of nowhere.

Our camp was always in danger. To get rid of this threat, we had to find and clear out their lair before they found us.

So, I needed to get to the canyon ASAP. When the wolves had me cornered on the cliff, I saw something moving down in the canyon—some figures, though it wasn't clear. This was a huge discovery for me.

But I was ready for the worst. I might not be back for a few days, so I needed to bring some help.

"Is everyone up?" I asked, almost done packing. The other girls were already awake.

"I might be gone for a few days. Stay safe in the camp," I reminded them. "The camp's walls are reinforced. As long as they aren't deliberately damaged, those weirdos and wolves can't get in."

The girls nodded, taking in what I said.

Except for Aimee. She looked at me, then at Matt, who was still sleeping wrapped in a straw mat by the sheep pen.

I knew she was worried that Matt might try to harm the girls again once I was gone.

"Don't worry, I'm taking him with me this time." I pointed at Matt and gave Aimee a reassuring look.

She nodded and didn't say anything else.

"So you're only taking him? Aren't you worried he'll attack you?" Nora, who had been pretty quiet since coming to the camp, suddenly spoke up.

Wow, Nora actually cared about me! That was unexpected. I had to play it cool.

I nodded at her and explained my plan. "I was planning to go alone to scout," I said, looking at the women in front of me. "But the place I'm heading to is pretty far, so I need some help."

"Help? But you're taking Matt, right?" Margaret still didn't get it.

"Yeah, but he's not enough." I pointed to the two bags on the ground, stuffed with tools and food.

Even though the supplies weren't heavy for me, carrying them alone would slow me down.
