The other girls quickly agreed. Sure, they were still a little on edge about the situation over there, but the idea of living in a real building made the risk worth it.

"I'll go check it out first. If it's safe, you can bring the supplies over," I said.

Some of the girls didn't look too happy about my plan.

They thought sending a big group this time was risky enough, and if I went alone, who knows what kind of trouble I'd run into. Especially after the whole Matt situation, they were really worried about me, Moon, and Lilian exploring further.

"If something happens to you, we wouldn't know what to do," one of them said.

Honestly, I was a bit surprised. They were relying on me so much now!

I didn't agree right away. Instead, I asked the girls to prepare some food while I planned our next steps.

Watching them busy themselves, I felt a wave of emotion.

We'd been stuck here for two months and seven days now, marked by scratches on the cave wall.

We went from having no fire or food to eating decent grilled fish and mushrooms. We even had roasted lamb.

This was something we couldn't have even dreamed of before.

Over these two months, we had collected a lot of supplies, from twigs and leaves to fabric and fishing nets, all neatly stacked in the corner of the camp.

If we decided to move to that small building, moving all these supplies would be a huge task.

Looking at the well-organized camp, I didn't know where to start.

After discussing with the others, we decided to explore the small building and check out the surrounding environment and facilities.

What I wanted to find most was the power source for the building. To provide enough electricity, the generator must be quite large.

On this island, electricity was the most useful and scarce resource.

"Get these things sorted and packed. Once I figure out what we're dealing with, we're outta here," I said, nodding toward the supplies in the corner. "They're gonna be very useful at the new camp."

At first, the girls disagreed. They thought it was too dangerous for me to go back to the building. Except for Ivy.

"If you're going with Moon, I think you won't be in much danger," she said, giving me a meaningful look and putting her hand on my shoulder. "This is a rare opportunity."

I knew what Ivy meant. I didn't get many chances to be alone with Moon. This was a good opportunity to get closer to her.

I sneaked a glance at Moon, who was holding a pen and writing something.

Honestly, every time I thought about Moon's graceful, fair figure and her delicate face, I couldn't help but let my mind wander. A girl like her would make any guy's heart race.

But I wasn't like that jerk Matt. I wouldn't take advantage of anyone.

I promised the girls that no matter where I explored, I would return to the camp within three days. Only then did they agree to the plan.

For me, I didn't want the girls to worry too much about survival. As long as they were with me, I could ensure their safety.

But more than that, I had gotten used to their dependence on me.

After spending these days together, I had come to understand them better. These girls weren't as fragile as they seemed. They could fish, chop wood, and hunt if they had to.

Moreover, they knew a lot of things I didn't. I could say with confidence that although I was strong, without the girls, we wouldn't have lived so comfortably until now.

At night, the girls went to bed early. They were probably tired from organizing the camp supplies during the day and slept soundly.

Only Moon was still sitting at the cave entrance, writing something with excitement.

I was starting to suspect that Moon had some vision problems. She was sitting with her back to the campfire, and the moonlight wasn't very bright. It was hard to see clearly in such dim light.

How could she see what she was writing?

Not only that, her notebook looked thin, but she never seemed to run out of pages.

I hadn't seen her turn a page yet.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" I walked over to her and draped a wool blanket over her shoulders.

Even with the fire going, the far side of the cave was still pretty chilly. The wool blanket was made from the sheep we had killed over the past few days.

It wasn't very refined, but it was softer and more comfortable than other fabrics.

The other girls had unanimously decided to give me the blanket as a thank-you for taking care of them.

Seeing how determined they were, I didn't refuse.

At that moment, Moon seemed surprised by my gesture, then suddenly smiled at me.

"Are you worried about me?" Her eyes were always so clear, sometimes making me feel a bit heartbroken.

Such a beautiful girl, yet she had some mental issues.

"You're living in the camp, of course, I care about you," I said, sitting down beside her.

Her silver hair shimmered faintly in the night, and I couldn't help but swallow as I looked at her almost perfect profile.

"Aren't you cold sitting here?" Her clothes were thin, and although the other girls weren't much better off, they stayed by the campfire while she always liked to sit alone at the cave entrance.

This made me a bit worried.

To my surprise, Moon just chuckled and shook her head.

"I'm not cold," she laughed softly, lifting her skirt and turning to the side, then blinked those big, watery eyes and leaned in closer, "You're so good to me."

At that moment, her eyes didn't have the usual eerie blue glow. They were a soft amber, looking moist.

I just watched her quietly, not daring to make a move.

Suddenly, she lightly touched my lips with her finger.

"I've decided. I'm going to write you as my boyfriend." She seemed very pleased with this idea, her lips curling up.

I was stunned, not knowing how to respond to Moon's words.

I remembered her saying that the stories she wrote were real. Did this mean she wanted me to actually be her boyfriend?
