Healing His Broken Luna.... Chapter 110
Chapter 23 - Perfect
We spent the rest of the day walking around the French quarter and getting familiar with shops we wanted to revisit. We also visited the French market and Riverwalk for some shopping and Lukas had insisted on buying me more than I needed. He even sent Angelo to buy me a large suitcase to fit everything in.
It was evening when we arrived back at the hotel. The taxi dropped us off in front of the mansion and the bell hop rushed over to help Lukas with the bags. When we entered the lobby, Mr. Miles greeted us.
"Ah, good evening Monsieur. I see you've been enjoying the shopping in New Orleans." He smiled at us. "I'll have the bell hop take your bags to your room. Will you be having dinner in your suite this evening or joining us in the dining hall? Tonight's fine dining experience will feature classical French cuisine."
"Sounds wonderful, what time should we be there?" I asked.
"Seven o'clock Madame." He bowed his head.
I took a shower while Lukas made a few calls. He had laid out a beautiful cream colored dress on the bed for me to wear. Lukas made his way into the shower while I was trying to get dressed and dry my hair. I kept getting distracted by the see through glass shower. I couldn't stop looking at him in his naked glory. Maybe we should have order dinner to the suite?
"Clothes aren't required for in room dining you know." Storm snickered at me and I rushed out to find my shoes before he could read my thoughts.
Ten minutes later, he was dressed in gray slacks and a black button up shirt that made his blue eyes really stand out. Moon Goddess, he is so handsome. I really wanted to run my fingers through his beautiful raven hair.
"I wonder if we'll meet Angelo's new friend downstairs tonight?" I asked as he led me down the stairs. Several guests stood in the hotel lobby enjoying cocktails while a string quartet played in the corner. Angelo greeted us with a cocktail in hand.
"Isn't this nice. The hotel has live music every evening, usually it's a pianist, but they also have jazz, blues and classical strings." Angelo said.
"I love classical. I remember my mother playing the violin when I was little. I know it sounds kind of funny for a wolf to actually play the violin, but my mother enjoyed it. She used to tell me that some of the world's greatest violinists like Vivaldi and Bach were also werewolves." I told them as the memory came flooding back to me.
"Oh, I've met some very talented, musically gifted wolves in my lifetime. Isn't that right Maestro?" Angelo grinned at Lukas.
"Do you play?" I asked in awe. The thought of this big strong Alpha playing a delicate little violin made me want to laugh.
"I grew up spending a great deal of time with my Grandparents. My Grandmother, Lucy, loves classical music. She said it helped calm her wolf, Lia. The more I listened with her, the more I enjoyed it. One summer she let me take lessons and I was very good at it. I'm afraid my hands are too big for a violin, but I've mastered the cello. I found that it also helps calm Luke." Lukas told me.
"He used to kick our ass in training then run off for cello lessons. If anyone tried to tease him about it, he would send a dirt cloud to your face and blind you." Angelo laughed.
"Dinner is served." Mr. Miles announced as the guests made their way into the dining hall.
Lukas held my hand and led me into the dining room. I almost sat in his lap but didn't want to draw attention from the humans around us. He smiled at me and inched his chair closer.
"Bonsoir, we have a lovely soupe à l'oignon or salade niçoise to start with. This evening's main courses feature is a savory boeuf bourguignon, a classic duck cassoulet or a delicious seafood bouillabaisse. The chef has also prepared chocolate soufflé and crème brûlée for dessert. She has also prepared a special platter for Monsieur Angelo with everything." Mr. Miles announced.
Lukas ordered in French for us and Mr. Miles nodded his head and poured us some wine. Lukas reached for my hand under the table and held it on his lap.
"So, a special platter huh? Will we get to meet your special friend?" Lukas grinned at Angelo who suddenly looked like a deer caught in headlights. I wondered if Angelo ever had a mate, I'd have to remember to ask Lukas later.
Our dinner was served and looked exquisite. I don't think I've ever seen such a fancy meal prepared, let alone eaten one. I looked at Lukas who seemed to be watching me as I gawked at the food. He had also ordered special platters with a little bit of everything.
"I hope you don't mind, I wanted you to try everything." He said as he lifted my hand to his mouth and kissed it.
"Can we try the duck first?" Storm nearly barked at me.
"Bon appétit!" Said a beautiful woman in a white chef's jacket. She was Creole and beautiful. Her curly big hair was pulled back, her brown eyes sparkled when she looked at Angelo and her full lips displayed a beautiful pearly smile.
"You must be Camille." Lukas said.
"And you must be Alpha LaRue Theodorus." She smiled.
"Yes. This is my mate, Syble. Please join us, we hear the chef here is a culinary extraordinaire."
Angelo quickly stood up and pulled a seat for Camille. I've never seen him at a loss for words. He clearly liked her very much. A young waiter brought another plate of food over and Camille joined us.
"I hear your pack is the oldest in the United States." I said.
"Yes. A French explorer founded New Orleans and claimed it in the name of King Louis. It's said that some of the men in his expedition were in fact Rougarou, which is the French word for werewolf. When they settled here, they took French, Caribbean and Spanish mates and the pack grew. They dominated the swamplands and eventually rumors circulated amongst the locals about the swamp creatures, to help keep them away from our territory."
"Rumors?" I asked.
"Yes, it's kind of silly now, but the legend of the Rougarou was born from the Rumors. Cajun folklore tells of a mysterious red eyed wolf like creature that prowls the swamps looking for naughty children and lent breaking Catholics. It's kept the humans away for decades." She laughed.
"I've heard of the Rougarou Pack before, is that your pack?" Lukas asked.
"It sure is."
"Do you live with the pack or in the city?" I asked.
"Six years ago, I met my mate when I turned eighteen, he was the Alpha of a neighboring enemy pack. After he rejected me, I attended school in the city and started cooking. Most wolves don't survive after losing their mates, but I was not going to let that mangy ball of fur ruin my life. I still return to my pack when I get a chance, but work keeps me pretty busy and I enjoy it." She smiled.
"Do they really have alligators in the swamps?" I asked her.
"Oh honey, they sure do. Alligators make for good eating around here. I'm going to make my alligator gumbo tomorrow night."
"Sounds delicious already." Angelo smiled.
Angelo and Camille couldn't seem to take their eyes off each other at dinner. Lukas entertained us with funny stories of their childhood in Greece. I loved hearing his laugh and found myself staring at him completely mesmerized at times when he spoke. Storm and I were both excited to learn more about our mate.
"I wonder if he'll ever play the cello for us." Storm purred.
After dinner, Angelo invited us to the lobby for a nightcap and we followed as he held Camille's hand leading the way. The string quartet was taking a break and Lukas spoke with one of the members having a drink. He smiled and showed Lukas to his instrument. Lukas sat down in the chair and pulled the cello towards him. He closed his eyes and the bow of the cello started gliding back and forth on the strings. The most beautiful melody filled the room and goosebumps covered my skin. Everyone stopped to enjoy the passion filled performance.
"It' Ed Sheeran's song, Perfect." I heard Camille say and then I saw Angelo take Camille's hand as they danced to the song.
"It's so amazing." Storm whispered to me and I could feel her admiration and happiness as he played.
I was speechless. I walked towards him in wonder as he took my breath away. He played so naturally and effortlessly. I swayed in place, just listneing. This is one of those moments I knew I would never forget for as long as I live.
The hotel guests, staff and string quartet members all stood up to applaud when Lukas played the last note. He opened his eyes and looked right at my tear filled eyes. Then he smiled and nodded his head to thank the quartet member who let him play the instrument.
"Did Storm enjoy it?" He asked as he kissed me. He had clearly heard her desire to have him play.
"She absolutely did."
"And how about you? Did you enjoy it as well?"
"It was perfect." I managed to say.
"You're perfect." He said and scooped me up in his arms, quickly carrying me to towards the staircase.
"Have fun you two!" Angelo called out from behind us.
Lukas carried me up the stairs and through the door of our suite. He flipped the switch to the fireplace and walked to the bed. No words were exchanged, he set me down on my feet next to the bed and turned me so that my back was to him. He lowered his head and kissed the back of my neck and shoulders.
His arms reached down and caressed my thighs and hips. He lifted the dress slowly up and over my head. I dropped my head back on his chest as he continued to kiss and suck on my shoulder and neck. He slid the straps of my bra down and unclasped it. Then his hands hooked my panties and he kissed my back as he lowered them down.
His arms wrapped around my naked body from behind and he kissed his mark which sent a wave of pleasure through me. I turned around to face him and reached for the buttons on his shirt. I placed kisses on his chest as I removed his shirt. I could feel his gaze on me as I placed kisses over his pounding heart. The sparks continued to shoot through my hands where I touched him, feeling and carassing his chest and abs.
I reached for the button on his slacks and pulled the zipper down. He was devouring me with his eyes and kept still watching me as I pulled his pants and boxers down. I trailed kisses down his chest, to his stomach and when his erection sprang free, I took it in my mouth. A growl of pleasure left his lips and he closed his eyes. I could feel his aura change as the lust built up and I continued to explore and taste him with my mouth.
He reached for me and laid me on my stomach. I felt his hands brush my hair to the side and his mouth kissing the back of my neck and down my spine. He continued down to my ass caressing, kissing, licking and sucking. I quaked beneath his touch and felt his need to dominate me even more. He continued down to my thighs to the back of my legs before he slowly trailed back up again exploring my entire body. He moved my legs wider apart and I felt completely exposed.
He propped himself on top of me and I moaned at the feel of his body up against me. My hips arched back and welcomed his cock as he mounted me from behind.
The next morning, we found ourselves back in the French quarter waiting in line to get world famous beignets from Café Du Monde. Angelo was nowhere to be found, but Lukas was not worried about him. We sat at a table under the green and white stripped patio outside. Lukas had coffee and I had fresh squeezed orange juice.
I picked up a square shaped, warm, pillowy, powder sugar covered beignet and took a big delicious bite. I let out a moan and Lukas laughed as he dusted off the powder sugar from my nose. There's absolutely no way to eat these without getting messy and they were worth the mess.
"Do you like them?" He asked, already knowing my answer.
"How could you not, they're so fluffy and delicious."
"The French certainly know their desserts."
"Do you speak French fluently?" I wanted to know more about him.
"I do. I also speak Greek, Italian and Spanish. When you handle international business, it's almost a necessity."
"I only speak English." I smiled.
"And I'm pleased to hear you speak no matter what language."
We continued to eat the beignets and lick powdered sugar off our fingers. I could tell that something was on Lukas' mind and I tried to listen to his thoughts but couldn't hear anything.
"Is everything okay?" I asked.
"Yes. I was just wondering... well actually, I was hoping you'd talk to me about what happened at your old pack. It might help me understand a few things." He said.
"He should know, he's our mate." Storm said to me. I nodded my head and he smiled.
"Come on, the Louis Armstrong park is a few blocks away and we can find a comfortable quiet corner to talk."
