#####Chapter 4 - Rage

It was just after lunch and I had finished giving the horses their baths. Since the Alpha didn't want me at the pack house, near the guests, until after the mating ceremony, I was done with chores for the day.

I sat quietly in my stall with my eyes closed trying to conserve my energy. I rarely ever had any free time, so this was nice. The horses were still out in the meadow happily grazing away at the grass. I closed my eyes for a moment and when I opened them back up, the sun was setting. I had fallen asleep in my stall.

I realized the horses were still out and needed to bring them back in. One by one, I led each horse back to its stall. I returned to the meadow for the last horse, Domino. I stroked his head and he greeted me with a bump from his head. Unfortunately, his bump was a little too hard. I was already feeling lightheaded from the lack of food, and when he bumped me, I landed on my ass.

I stood up and tried to steady myself by placing one hand on his back. A strange sensation came over me, I could feel someone watching me. I looked around and saw no one. After I put Domino back in his stall, I made my way to the toilet closet. I was out of toilet paper and needed to ask the head maid, Sandy, for more.

I walked back to the pack house. I wasn't sure if I should, but I also didn't want to earn a beating if someone used the toilet at the barn and found no toilet paper. I stood next to the back door and waited. I could hear the sounds of pots and pans as dinner was being prepared. Something smelled delicious and my stomach growled.

"What is it?" Sandy yanked open the door.

I held up an empty roll of toilet paper. She nodded her head in understanding and closed the door. A few minutes later, she opened the door again and handed me a bag that contained a few rolls of toilet paper.

I kept my head down and walked back towards the barn. I looked in the bag and found six rolls of toilet paper and two bread rolls. FOOD! I blinked my eyes a few times staring at the bread rolls. I had food.

I looked up and saw Alpha Jaxon walking my way with the other Alpha from before. I instantly lowered my gaze and moved to the furthest edge of the walking path as I could, hoping to be as invisible as possible when I passed them.

"What have you got there?" I heard Alpha Jaxon ask as the bag was quickly yanked from my hands. He looked inside the bag and saw the toilet paper. I held my breath hoping he didn't see the two bread rolls at the bottom.

He shifted the bag around and I knew he found the bread rolls. I swear, if it wasn't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all. I heard a low growl rumble in his chest.

"Where did you get these?" He threw the bread rolls on the ground.

I kept my head bowed and my eyes on the rolls. He stepped on them and grinded them into the ground. I wanted to cry and fought to show no emotion. I was exhausted from hunger and didn't want to provoke him. I could feel the hard gaze from the other Alpha standing there quietly.

"Are you stealing now you dirty thief?" He taunted.

I shook my head no.

The air was thick with tension and I wasn't sure exactly which Alpha was radiating it. I kept my eyes on the crumbled up bits of bread rolls and wondered if I could come back out here and pick them up later. Just then, my stomach let out an angry loud growl.

"Get out of my sight." Alpha Jaxson snapped, shoving the bag of toilet paper back at me. I quickly walked back to the barn and gave the horses their evening hay.

I laid down in my pile of straw and covered myself. The sooner I fell asleep, the sooner this miserable day would pass. I was startled awake when I heard the barn door creek open. Heavy footsteps made their way towards me and stopped in front of my stall. I smelled food. Delicious mouthwatering food. I looked up to find him standing there with a plate of food.

"Do you enjoy embarrassing me in front of my guests?" Alpha Jaxon said with a sinister tone.

I shook my head no.

"I'm sure Alpha Lukas must think we're so cruel to starve you. Well, don't worry. If you're hungry, I've got a real treat for you Syble." He said as he set down a plate of beef wellington, potatoes, asparagus and carrots.

There was no way in hell he was going to let me eat that. This was part of some sick mind game to him. The smell was driving me crazy and my stomach was grumbling. I kept my head down and didn't move. I really didn't want to trigger the crazy in him.

"Eat. I know you haven't eaten in five days." He ordered.

This was too good to be true. I've never been given such fine food to eat. My eyes stayed glued on the plate he set on the floor.

"Don't make me tell you again. EAT! You're hungry enough to embarrass this pack, to steal food from the pack, then you should have no problem eating our food."

I crawled over to the plate cautiously and wasn't sure what to do. I wondered if it was poisoned. I wouldn't put it past him to poison my food and make me sick. My trembling bony fingers reached for a piece of potato first, testing the water. I slowly lifted it to my mouth and waited for a moment expecting him to snatch the food out of my hand and laugh at me. I put the potato in my mouth and closed my eyes. Sweet Moon Goddess it tasted wonderful. I chewed its soft and seasoned flesh and swallowed it down. My stomach welcomed the nourishment.

"THWACK." Without any warning, the wind was knocked out of me when the Alpha kicked me in the side of my ribs. I let out a soft cry and curled down to try and protect myself.

"Take another bite, try the meat it's mouthwatering." He taunted.

I was terrified. Alpha Jaxon is a vicious beast and he was looming over me. This was a twisted game to him, and I understood this may very well be the last meal I ever have.

"Do not insult your Alpha and refuse his food!" He growled.

My trembling hand reached out again towards the plate. I wasn't sure what to grab so I reached for a piece of the beef. It was still warm and smelled wonderful. The juices in my mouth started flowing in anticipation. I slowly slipped it between my lips and started to chew. It was amazing and so tender. Possibly the best thing I've ever eaten.

"THWACK." He smacked the back of my head just as soon as I swallowed. He was going to punish me with every bite I took. I wasn't sure how long I could do this in my debilitated state.

"Again. You need to eat. I can't have people thinking that we starve you." His menacing tone was chilling.

I reached for a bigger chunk of meat. If I was going to get hit for every bite, I figured I should take as big of mouthfuls as I could. If I could eat more with less bites, that would mean less kicks and punches from him. I chewed a mouthful of meat and swallowed.

"THWACK." This time he kicked me on my right hip as I winced in pain. Domino backed up in the stall again moving from side to side in his anxious stance. Even the animals could sense the cruelty of this predator.

I reached for another big chunk of beef. It felt so good to eat something warm and delicious.

"THWACK." He slapped me across the face. I really hated him.

I grabbed asparagus and potatoes and shoved a handful in my mouth. This should be enough to sustain me, and we can end the punishment.

"THWACK." He popped me in the nose and my eyes watered.

"More." He snarled.

I was barely able to breath. Fuck just end this already and kill me. I reached for another chunk of meat, chewed and swallowed.

"THWACK." He kicked me in the shin, and I yelped in pain.

"You haven't even touched the carrots yet."

I shook my head no. The pain searing through my body made me want to throw up the food I had just eaten. It was too much too soon after not eating for five days.

"THWACK." My head whipped back at the force of the impact. I hadn't even eaten anything more and he punched me in the face. I raised my tiny little hands up to try and protect my face, but that did nothing. I realized my nose was bleeding when the warmth finally reached my lips.

He grabbed my hair and yanked my head back so that I was forced to look into his eyes. Eyes I've seen before, eyes I despised. I saw rage and hate reflected back at me. I felt the same way towards him deep down inside. Rage and hate. I fucking hated him and wished him death. Something was stirring inside of me and I wanted to hurt him, to see the air choked right out of him.

He's a sadistic evil bastard. If his guests could see the mighty Alpha now. Torturing a pathetic human slave. It was frowned down upon in the werewolf community to have werewolf or human slaves, but it didn't stop them. I suppose that's why his sister referred to me as her father's prisoner instead of a slave to the visiting Alpha. As if that would make it okay.

"Did you enjoy your meal?" His voice was lethal. "I hope it was up to your standards slave." He sneered at me. Something deep inside of me raged and the roof of the barn rattled at the same time. The barn doors flew open with the wind and the lights flickered as they swayed.

Domino pawed the floor and let out a neigh. That was all I heard before Alpha Jaxon smacked my head up against the side of the stall.
