Healing His Broken Luna.... Chapter 124
Epilogue
Eight Years Later
I had moved to Greece and into the home that Lukas owned which was conveniently located next to his parent's house in the Olympus Blood Moon territory. I helped with the family business and enjoyed working a few days a week. Domino also enjoyed life in Greece, but I was the only wolf he let ride on him.
The Theodorus family had taken me in as one of their own. Luna Raven and Alpha Dimitri became my second parents. They loved and adored Cassi beyond measure. She's a beautiful, rambunctious clone of her father. The same laugh and mischievous glint in her eye. She has the same jet black hair and deep blue eyes that's a strong LaRue family trait.
She filled an empty hole in all of our hearts the day she was born. Storm would not have survived the loss of her mate if it wasn't for our pup. She lived only for our pup.
Like her father, Cassi has decided to play the Cello. Every time I watched her practice, I remembered the first time I heard Lukas play all those years ago in New Orleans, at that hotel lobby. He played with such passion and ease. It was perfect and the song was called Perfect.
"Cassiopeia LaRue Theodorus, I am not buying you another Cello if you break this one. Come back here and put it away young lady."
"Awe but mommy, everyone is already going to be up there with Great Grandpa waiting for story time."
"Great Grandpa Diesel, will not start without you, your cousins can wait. Now put this Cello away."
"Yes mommy." She pouted but moved quickly.
We visit Raven's parents often at Crescent Moon Pack, the castle here is absolutely amazing and Cassi likes to pretend she's a princess when we're here. She also enjoys spending time with her Great Grandparents Luna Lucy and Alpha Diesel. Tonight, Alpha Diesel was treating all the pups to a sleep over up in the astronomy observatory.
We gathered Mr. Wolf, which is a stuffed animal that belonged to Lukas when he was a pup. Cassi slept with it every night since she came into this world. I grabbed her pillow and sleeping bag and walked her to the observatory stairs.
"Mommy, will you come sit with me for a little while, please?"
"I would love to." I smiled. She had no idea how special she was and how important her destiny will someday be to the survival of werewolves.
We went through the narrow door and up the circular stairs to the top of the northern tower. The retractable roof had been pulled back and the night sky looked beautiful through the glass dome roof. We found a spot near Alpha Diesel, who looked so much like an older version of Lukas. I always felt that same familiar comfort and warmth in his presence.
We listened as Alpha Diesel told the story of the brave hero, a hero who was the Alpha of Alpha's. A legend born from Gods who could control the elements. He told stories of how the hero set a swamp on fire, crept through haunted cemetery's, fought several rogues and other Alpha's, chased after an evil warlock and even took a frying pan to the head for his mate. The pups all howled with laughter when he spoke of the frying pan.
Alpha Diesel continued on, "He was a wolf who loved his mate so much, that he went to go live in the heavens to keep her safe. He was so loved and missed, that they named a star after him in his favorite constellation. He now watches over all of us, in the Cassiopeia constellation."
"He's talking about daddy!"
"Yes, he is." I sniffled back tears.
"Did he really get hit in the head with a frying pan?" She giggled.
"Yes, yes he did." I grinned at the bittersweet memory. My mate had lived, loved and sacrificed to give hope to the future in the form of our beautiful little girl.
"Now, who wants to be the first to look at his star through the telescope?" Alpha Diesel asked the pups.
"ME! ME!" Cassi squealed and jumped up and down.
