Healing His Broken Luna.... Chapter 120
Chapter 33 - Sunrise
"Syble that was amazing!" Beta Finn said to me as the warriors from Sapphire Moon ran back.
"She's just as talented as we thought she'd be. I'll meet you all inside, I need to call Alpha Diesel and update him. Then call my son, Alpha Troy, and let him know we'll be taking his warriors to conquer Sapphire Moon at sunrise."
"Where is Alpha Troy?" I asked before I could even stop myself. We've been here almost two weeks and had yet to see him.
"He took my place on the shifters council a few years back, he's currently in Jordan trying to track a prophet named, Duja. We're hoping she can help us with the last piece of the golden prophecy my mother gave." He told us and stepped inside.
"My mate and I are going to return to the cottage and put some dry clothes on. We'll be back in twenty minutes to meet with Alpha Trevor." Lukas told everyone and shifted back into wolf form.
I climbed up on Luke and wrapped my arms around his neck. He took off running and we reached the cottage in less than five minutes. Lukas shifted back and we both walked into the cottage to put on dry clothes.
"How are you feeling?" Lukas asked.
"I'm feeling fine. I'm wondering why Alpha Jaxon didn't come with him, and how he knew I was here?"
"Yeah, something isn't connecting." Lukas agreed.
I stripped my clothes off and put on dry clothes. Then I noticed Lukas put on sweatpants and a sweatshirt, but no underwear. I felt Storm purr inside at the thought of him wearing so little. Lukas let out a laugh and I realized he was listening to my thoughts.
"It's so I can shift easier, the elastic pulls too tight before it snaps off when you shift. You'll see what I'm talking about when we finally set Storm free and you're wearing a bra." He laughed.
"Are you kidding? I hardly ever wear a bra." I teased and saw his eyes darken with lust. He put his hands on my waist and pulled me to him.
"Is that so? Do I need to give you an oral exam right now?" He teased and kissed my neck.
"We have an attack to plan and you're thinking about sex?" I laughed. "Didn't you get enough this morning?"
"Didn't I tell you? Alpha males are highly sexual creatures, there's no such thing as enough."
I heard Storm yip with excitement and reminded both of them that we had plans to meet with Alpha Trevor and Alpha Dimitri for the attack. Lukas bundled me up in a coat and we took the jeep back to the pack house.
Everyone was gathered around the dining table and food was being set out for dinner. Roasted chickens and lamb shanks, with rice, vegetables and salad. We sat down at the table and Lukas pulled me to his lap to feed me. I remembered a time when I thought this was strange and here I was, feeling completely natural. I was slightly turned on feeling the heat from his lap and knowing he wasn't wearing underwear.
"My naughty little mouse." Lukas said to me through the mind link as he shifted around purposely rubbing himself against me.
"Sapphire Moon is typically a four to five hour run from here. We will need to stop and rest along the way, so we're not fatigued when we get there in the morning. After Dinner, everyone should rest so that we are prepared to leave here at midnight. Sunrise is at six-thirty." Alpha Trevor announced.
"What's our number?" Alpha Dimitri asked.
"We will take two hundred and fifty of our warriors and leave one hundred here to secure our pack. Our warriors are far better trained than those of Sapphire Moon."
"I can't imagine it taking too long with all of our elements." Luna Raven said.
"Alpha Trevor, Alpha James didn't allow for my parents to be properly buried. They were dishonorably cremated with rogues and the ashes disposed in the river. If it's not too much to ask, I'd like the same for Alpha James." I asked, feeling this would bring me some sense of justice.
"Of course. We don't have any rogues, but we can certainly add trash to the pile."
"Thank you, Alpha." I said.
We finished eating dinner and Lukas insisted we return to the cottage to get some sleep before we needed to leave tonight. Since Lukas couldn't sleep well with clothes on, we always slept skin to skin. He pulled me to his chest and held me tight. I drifted off to sleep listening to the beat of his heart.
We woke up a quarter to midnight and Lukas took his clothes and stuffed them in my backpack along with an extra change of clothes for me. He bundled me up in layers, warm coat, hat, scarf and gloves. He put a couple of granola bars and two waterproof lighters in the bag as well. He stood at the front door still naked and I grinned at the sight of him.
"You're going to have to wear the backpack while riding on Luke. Is there anything else you think you'll need?" He asked me before we stepped outside to let him shift.
"I think we're all set." I answered and he kissed me, then stepped outside and watched him transform into his big handsome wolf.
I gave Luke a kiss on his face and then climbed up and wrapped my arms around him. We arrived at the pack house and met with Alpha Trevor and Beta Finn. Alpha Dimitri and Luna Raven stood with Angelo and Camille, ready to run. With a howl from Alpha Trevor, the hunt was on.
Alpha Trevor led the way and we followed right behind him and the warriors behind us. I kept my head down in Luke's neck for warmth and Lukas mind linked me reminding me to let him know if I need to stop for anything. I couldn't believe I was willingly going back to Sapphire Moon, but I also couldn't wait. I wanted to see Alpha Jaxon's dead body with my own two eyes. I knew Lukas was going to rip his head off, that's all Luke could think about as we ran. We stopped for water and to rest a few times. I laid my head on Luke and continued to caress his head.
"Syble." Lukas said through the mind link.
"Yes?"
"No matter what happens, know that I love you. We love you both, to the stars and back." Lukas said and Luke barked.
I wrapped my arms around his neck, "I love you too, we both do."
We continued running with the pack until we reached the edge of Sapphire Moon territory. As the sky started to lighten, I felt a little more anxious. I couldn't even shift, and I was walking right into a pack war.
"They should be afraid of us." Storm said to me.
"My father wants me to remind you not to think, but to just feel it." Lukas said through the mind link as Alpha Dimitri's wolf, Dom, looked at me and nodded his head.
Beta Finn moved up to flank his Alpha as we crossed the territory line. I had expected the patrols to catch us at the line, but they already knew we were coming. We continued to run through the forest and over a stream towards the pack house.
We finally stepped out into the big clearing and my eyes fell on the barn. Years of abuse and servitude were spent in that barn for something I didn't do and had no control over. Today is the day I had control. Today is the day I would bring Alpha Jaxon's world crumbling down around him.
"Get both lighters out of the backpack. Tuck one in your pants and have the other one ready for me." Lukas instructed.
I gripped the lighter firmly in my hands as we walked towards the pack house with our small army. Alpha Jaxon stood in front of the pack house with nearly three hundred warrior wolves standing behind him. They may have had a few more fighters, but ours were better trained and we had four elemental wolves who could rain hell on all of them without even fighting.
Snarls and growls could be heard from both sides of the warriors. We came to a stop fifty feet away from them. Alpha Dimitri looked at me and nodded his head.
"My father said that you should be the one to demand his surrender." Lukas said to me through the mind link.
"Let's send this coward to hell." Storm barked in my head.
"Alpha Jaxon." I called out. "You have one minute to surrender yourself and no one from your pack will be harmed. Anyone who fights will be met with deadly consequences."
"Looks like you found your voice." Alpha Jaxon said.
"Oh, I found more than just that!" I smiled feeling the rage stir inside of me again. I now understood exactly what Alpha Dimitri means when he tells me to feel and not over think. The emotions become so strong it causes energy to pulse through you.
"Where is my father?" Jaxon demanded.
"IN HELL WHERE HE BELONGS! Why? Did you not feel the family bond break?" I cocked my head to the side a slight grin on my face. "He must have had no love left in his heart for you if you didn't feel the bond break Jaxon. Or perhaps you're a bastard child?" I intentionally wanted to aggravate him, make him feel pain.
Two of his wolves stepped forward snapping and growling, as if ready to attack. I recognized one as his Delta who was cruel to me. I slipped off Luke's back and stepped forward.
"Bad doggies! Do you know what happens to bad dogs?" I lifted the lighter up and flicked it on. Lukas understood what I wanted and willed the fire to shoot flames to both growling beasts. They howled and whimpered trying to roll over and extinguish the flames in the snow, but Lukas made sure the flames blazed. We all stood and watched as the two burned alive.
"About that surrender?" I asked.
"GO TO HELL!" Jaxon snarled and shifted.
"YOU FIRST." I yelled back.
Lukas set fire to a vehicle parked near the pack house so that both he and Luna Raven could have a fire source. The ground shook and Alpha Dimitri stomped his paw opening up a big trench between them and us. The warriors on the other side exchanged nervous glances as Jaxon was ready to lead them to fight. Alpha Trevor let out a howl and our warriors charged at them. The sound of growling and snapping could be heard, and Alpha Dimitri continued stomping the ground, causing earthquake shakes.
Angelo and Camille stood on each side of me just as Lukas and Jaxon jumped at each other. Luna Raven started aiming balls of flames and lighting up wolf after wolf on the other side. Alpha Dimitri pulled up a few tree roots and tethered some wolves in place while sending flying boulders at others, knocking them out.
I willed the hot and cold air to move quickly charging up the electrostatic in the air. The temperature was very cold and then warm and back to cold. I could feel the energy charging through me as the wind continued to move. Lukas was on top of Jaxon taking his time and making him suffer. I would not be able to get a clear shot at him without hurting my mate.
I saw Beta Keaton running towards Jaxon and Lukas and immediately focused my energy at him. Jaxon's Beta was a horrible person who never showed me mercy. A second later, a bright bolt of lightning struck, and a cracking thunder boomed across the land. Beta Keaton dropped dead to the ground before he could help Jaxon.
Howls rang out as the pack felt the death of their Beta. Jaxon stopped fighting and ran for the woods, he was bleeding badly. Lukas looked over at me to make sure I was safe, I was, but I was furious that Jaxon took off running. Most of the Sapphire Moon warriors stopped fighting and lowered their heads in surrender.
"Stay here, I'll bring you back his head." Lukas said through the mind link.
But that wasn't going to work for me. I needed to watch Jaxon die if I couldn't suck the life out of him myself. He was not going to escape. I ran towards the woods as fast as my legs could carry me. Storm was raging and I was hoping Lukas would let me finish Jaxon off. Luke could have easily finished him but seemed to have been enjoying inflicting pain on Jaxon. It was well deserved pain.
This part of the woods was unfamiliar to me. I stopped to listen for sounds of Lukas and Jaxon fighting, I willed the wind to be still so I could hear better. It was eerily silent. I was ready to mind link Lukas when I heard a rustling behind me. I turned just in time to see Jaxon bring a heavy boulder crashing on my head and the roar of an angry Alpha shake the trees behind us.
I fell back on the ground and felt the warmth of blood run down my face. The snow around me was blood stained and I wasn't sure who's blood it was. My vision was swimming, but I saw Jaxon's head being ripped off his human body before I was sucked into the darkness.
