Chapter 35 - Patient

"If he's done something to my sister, I can't just lay around and do nothing. I need to find her. I'm going to kill him myself." Dimitri growled trying to stand up.

"She's our sister now too. You won't be helpful to anyone if you don't allow that to heal." Knox replied.

"Dimitri please." I tried to calm my mate down. "She's his mate, he won't hurt her."

"Unless one of them rejects the other, then he will." Dimitri said.

"He wouldn't be that stupid, he knows she's your sister and doesn't want to make an enemy of you." I told him.

"Maybe, but Odessa might reject him first, she's obviously not happy about this." He said.

"My parents are with Georgios; they know something isn't right. We'll find her, we just need you to heal. Dr. Vovos should be here to check your wound and change the bandage one more time for the night. You can speak to her about your progress." I said.

"I need to get to Georgios, if Odessa is still in his territory, I can find her." Dimitri said.

"We'll go together as soon as you're healed a little bit more." I told Dimitri and stroked his arm praying his healing would be quick. Rae whimpered in my mind, she was also concerned.

There was a gentle knock at the door and Knox pulled the door open. Dr. Vovos stepped in and walked over to Dimitri. "Good evening Alpha." She said.

"Dr. Vovos, how long until I'm fully healed?"

"That all depends on the patient. I'll have a better assessment once I've examined you and after you eat something." She told Dimitri.

"Should I get him something from the kitchen?" I asked.

"I'm going to mind link the kitchen staff for some scrambled eggs and toast. You need to start on something easy first." She said.

"So, no rib-eye steak?" Dimitri smirked.

"Not for the next day or so Alpha." She removed the bandages and looked pleased with the progress. She sprayed something on it and dabbed it with gauze. It looked much better already; wolf healing was fast but those born with Alpha blood seemed to heal faster.

"How's the hearing?" She asked while looking into his ears.

"Still ringing in the left, but I can hear out of the right ear."

"That may take a few days to heal." Dr Vovos said.

"Of course you will Alpha, just don't try making any for the next day or two. You're healing faster than I expected. Also, no shifting for twenty-four hours. Eat what I've ordered from the kitchen, it should be here soon. I'll be back in the morning."

"Thanks Doc." He said.

"Good night Luna, call if you need anything." She smiled warmly at me and left the room.

"I'm going to leave you two alone now, we'll talk about our plan in the morning. If anything changes tonight, I'll let you know." Knox said and closed the door behind him. A second later, Knox opened the door back up for the young lady delivering the food tray.

"Thank you." I told her and took the tray of food from her.
