Healing His Broken Luna.... Chapter 122
Chapter 35 - Full Moon
I was having a good morning so far. Lukas cooked breakfast for me and I was still able to keep it down. Though I can't say the same about my head, it's still heavy from the concussion, and if I move it too fast I get dizzy. For the most part I feel pretty good. Doctor Edwards removed the stitching yesterday and I was finally able to wash my hair. Well, actually, Lukas washed my hair for me.
He spoke with Magnus yesterday who agreed to brew another transfer spell which will take twenty-four hours. Lukas still intends to take the potion tonight when the moon is full. Storm is anxious and worried about Luke being bound for an entire month before Lukas' Great Uncle Ranger takes the second potion to transfer the curse to himself. He will have to wait until the next full moon, and I hope we are able to break the curse.
It's very admirable for his Uncle Ranger to willingly take the curse from Lukas. He's a very strong Alpha, even in his old age. I remember what Lola had told me about the LaRue Alpha's, and how generous they are. Lukas also filled me in on the tragic mistake of his Uncle's past.
I'm looking forward to getting to know Luna Lucy and Alpha Diesel when all of this is behind us. This prophecy they keep mentioning was still a mystery to me. Lukas seemed reluctant to really talk about it.
"Ask him, we should know. It could affect our pup." Storm told me.
"Lukas, tell me about the prophecy everyone keeps mentioning but no one really talks about."
"It's nonsense." He tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
"So, entertain me with the nonsense." I told him.
"Oh, I can think of other ways I could entertain you." He kissed my shoulder, then moved to my neck, and on to my ear.
"Stop trying to distract me." I giggled as the prickles from his unshaven face tickled me.
"Mmmm, she's ticklish this morning." He continued kissing my neck until he was sucking on his mark. Then he moved lower until he found my breasts.
His mouth felt so good, kissing and sucking on my flesh. He moved lower and planted kisses all over my still flat stomach before he moved lower again. At this point, even I forgot what I was thinking about. Sweet Moon Goddess!
Lukas continued touching, caressing and tasting every last part of me. He was gentle and passionate as the love flowed through both of us. Storm reminded me, by this time tomorrow, we would finally be able to mark this handsome Alpha of ours.
A few hours later, as we laid together in absolute bliss, Lukas finally spoke and told me of the golden prophecy. He told me how it was related to his Grandmother Lucy, his father and future family lines. He explained that a golden wolf is born only once every hundred years who is a descendant from the Apollo blood line. That his grandmother Lucy was not only a golden wolf but also had the fire element and could generate her own fire. He explained how most suspect the golden prophecy is his destiny and that of his offspring because of the inheritance of elements.
"So, you're telling me that our pup could not only get all four elements, but may also shift into a golden wolf?" I asked.
"Well, this one or one of the others." He said.
"The others?"
"Little mouse, I want a whole litter of pups." He grinned.
"Lukas, I'm feeling better. Can we wait another month and continue to see if we find the witch who cursed me? I don't like the idea of transferring the curse." I asked.
"The pup will start moving and kicking hard soon, sometime between now and the next full moon. I don't want anything to happen to either of you."
"But what if the curse hurts Luke?"
"He can't wait to set eyes on Storm. Can you see her, in your minds eye, can you see what she looks like? He asked me.
"Well, yes and no. I think she's gray, except she doesn't really look gray. More of a shiny silver color, but I know wolfs aren't really that color so maybe it's just something I dreamed up. She's probably brown like my hair." I said feeling a little silly.
"No. When you close your eyes and envision your wolf, you're actually seeing an accurate reflection of them. The first time you shift, you see your wolf in your mind, you focus on them and before you know it, you're standing on all fours and you really look like them."
"Really?" I asked.
"He's right." Storm told me.
"Your eyes turn into a liquid silver type of color when Storm is on the surface. She's going to be something truly beautiful and unique." He smiled.
We took a shower together and spent the afternoon cuddled on the sofa in front of a crackling warm fire. Lukas kept the flame just perfect, not too hot, not too cold. Camille stopped by with Portia for a late afternoon visit. Talking with Portia triggered more memories for me, they were all happy fond memories spent with my grandmother. I even remembered having an outdoor movie night with the other pups.
From what I remember of the first ten years of my life, they were happy years. It was the tragic loss of my parents and the cruelty of Alpha James that broke me. With each passing day I spent with Lukas, I felt the pieces of myself coming back together.
After the visit, Lukas asked me if I wanted to step outside for some fresh air. He thought the rushing wind would help revitalize my energy. He bundled me up in warm clothes and we stepped outside. The sky was clear, not a cloud in sight, which means the full moon and stars will look beautiful tonight.
"My father has a surprise he thought you'd like."
"A surprise?" I asked.
"Yes, here he comes right now." He pointed to a black truck pulling a trailer behind it. It wasn't an ordinary trailer, it was a horse trailer. The truck came to a stop and both Luna Raven and Alpha Dimitri stepped out smiling.
"How are you feeling?" Luna Raven asked.
"I'm feeling good, thank you."
"And how is my grandpup doing today?" Alpha Dimitri asked.
"Being well behaved today!" I teased.
"Well you better enjoy it, if the pup is anything like my son, this will be the last bit of peace you have for a long time." He laughed.
"Yeah, yeah." Lukas dismissed his comment and gently guided me with my hand to the back of the trailer. I saw the big beautiful head of Domino poke out the back of the trailer.
"Domino!" I said as my eyes filled with tears. He was here. Alpha Dimitri had brought Domino to me. I reached to stroke his head and he instantly let out a whinny and rested his head against my shoulder.
"Hello big guy. I missed you too." I continued rubbing his head.
"Hey now, Luke is getting a little jealous here." Lukas teased. At least I think he was teasing.
"I have an apple for you." Alpha Dimitri said and gave it to me.
"Thank you so much." I took the apple and held it in front of Domino. He was completely relaxed and enjoyed chomping away on it.
"I've made the arrangements to fly him to Greece. Beta Finn is going to the airport this evening to pick up Alpha Troy and will also drive Domino to catch his flight. He's going to fly in a specialized cargo plane for animals, with temperature sensitive, pressurized cabins and get the first class treatment." Alpha Dimitri told me.
"Will he be okay to fly?" I asked worried.
"If he's at ease around wolves, he'll be fine on a plane. No worries. My Beta, Niko, is great with horses, he will pick up Domino when he arrives in Greece and get him settled in."
"Uncle Niko is the horse whisperer, Domino will be spoiled. The stables are fairly close to our home, you can see him everyday if you want." Lukas told me, and Greece was sounding better and better every day.
We stood around the trailer petting Domino and talking as we waited for Beta Finn to arrive and take Domino to the airport. We plan to stay at least another week and continue trying to figure out who was behind the curse and why. Then we plan to travel to Crescent Moon Pack and spend time with Raven's parents, Alpha Diesel and Luna Lucy for a few weeks until the next full moon so that Lukas' Great Uncle Ranger, could take the curse and free Luke.
Finn arrived and greeted us, then I said goodbye to my best friend as he left for his special flight to Greece.
"Come let's go inside and get that fire stoked. Camille and Angelo will be here soon with dinner." Luna Raven said as we walked back to the cabin.
Alpha Dimitri carried more wood inside and fed the fire before Luna Raven brought it to a full crackle. He sat down in one of the armchairs and pulled her onto his lap. I watched as they kissed and imagined myself in thirty years doing the same with Lukas.
Angelo and Camille arrived with dinner and Camille had prepared pan seared halibut, risotto, asparagus and salad. She really is a brilliant chef and Angelo couldn't be happier. Luna Raven helped Camille set up the small table and we gathered around.
We ate dinner in awkward silence. It was dark out now and the full moon light could be seen through the window. We all knew what tonight was. The guilt seemed to eat away at me as we inched closer and closer to midnight. Storm was anxious and quiet, she didn't want to shift without her mate.
"Lukas, Dom would like to take an evening run with his pup tonight before Luke is bound for a while." Alpha Dimitri told Lukas.
"That sounds great dad." Lukas said.
"Is it okay if I go too?" Angelo asked.
"Of course." Alpha Dimitri replied.
"What is this, a bachelor party or something?" Camille laughed.
"Great idea. We should chase a few foxes tonight." Angelo replied and the table erupted in laughter.
After dinner the men stepped outside to shift. We heard the barking of playful wolves and went outside to see what they were doing. Luke had jumped up on his fathers back and was playfully nipping at his ear.
"You boys behave yourselves." Luna Raven said and Dom trotted over to her, he quickly stuck his muzzle in her crotch. I laughed uncontrollably at the sight of that as she shooed him away completely embarrassed. I'm not sure if a wolf could laugh, but I'm almost sure I heard a low laugh from Dom.
Luke is just as big as his father Dom, except Dom has golden honey colored eyes instead of blues eyes. Luke was also a darker shade of black, as raven as his hair. Camille walked over to kiss Arlo and Luke came over to me. He brought his nose to my stomach and gave a lick. I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him, "I love you Luke." I whispered to my Alpha.
They took off running and chasing each other. Even though Arlo was bigger than most wolves, he was still much smaller than those Theodorus Alpha's. I watched as Luke disappeared in the woods with his father and wondered if my pup would be the same size one day.
I sat in the cottage by the fire waiting for them to return. Camille was slicing up a banana cream pie, while Raven poured tea.
"Don't worry Syble. It will all work out the way it's supposed to. The one thing I know for sure is something my mother told Dimitri and I all those years ago and that's; you can't stop fate or try to interfere. There's a reason behind every joy and every sorrow. It makes us who we are for better or worse." Luna Raven said as she wiped a tear away.
"My mother was also orphaned, she was fourteen and her stepmother turned her into a pack slave. She barely lived through four years of hell, I can't imagine how you lived through eight years of it. You are one of the strongest females I know, and you will be a wonderful mate and mother to my grandpups." She told me as she hugged me.
"I just want him to be safe." I told her.
"All Lukas wants is for you and the pup to be safe." She smiled.
