He carefully took out the necklace, stroking it, admiring it. "Aurora, this is the necklace I made for you."

"The Moonheart Stone was never given to anyone else. I know how important it is to you. How could I ever give it away?"

"I was lying to you. What's yours will always be yours."

When Kaelen and Seraphina were traveling, he had seen a shop selling red cord jewelry. Seraphina had immediately wanted to buy a matching set with him.

"Alpha, if you wear this on your wrist, she'll know you're about to have your union ceremony. It will be easier for her to give up."

Kaelen had stared at the pile of red cords, lost in thought. In the end, in a strange impulse, he didn't get a matching set with Seraphina. Instead, he bought a single red cord, using a small part to make a bracelet for himself and the rest for a necklace.

Inexplicably, he had attached the Moonheart Stone to it.

Kaelen looked at the Moonheart Stone, glowing with a faint red light, brilliant and dazzling, just like Aurora. This was a necklace made especially for her.

Unfortunately, before he could give it to her, Aurora had already left.

Kaelen hung the necklace around his own neck, as if Aurora were still by his side.

He collapsed to the ground, the entrance to the ritual array beneath him, the person he longed for inside, and the vast mountains and rivers before him.

"I regret it, Aurora. I'll never do those stupid things to push you away again. It was my fault. Please come back. I'll apologize to you."

"I've also kicked Seraphina out of the manor. That's your home. You are the mistress. I was wrong to let you suffer so much."

"Come back. As long as you like it, you can do anything."

A flash of white light appeared in the sky, and a white-haired, vigorous old man materialized next to Kaelen.

Kaelen slowly stood up and cast a spell to clean himself up.

"Elder, what brings you here?"

The elder snorted. "To prevent a certain someone from making a fatal mistake, I've come to deliver medicine."

He tossed a white jade vial. "Take this pill. Your life essence is unstable, yet you dare to wander around. If someone discovers your weakness, your power could regress, or you could even suffer a fatal backlash. You're not ignorant of such simple truths."

"What are you doing now? You've driven away the person you dislike. Shouldn't you be happy?"

Kaelen's bowed head shot up, and he retorted firmly, "I don't dislike her! Anyone in this world could dislike Aurora, but I never could. I just..."

"I just wanted us to go back to how we were. I didn't want any changes between us. Is that wrong?"

The elder shook his head and sighed. "What you're thinking, you should tell her, not put on a look of disgust and force her away. Now that she's really gone, who are you putting on this act for?"

"I told you before, if you keep refusing to see your own heart, you'll regret it sooner or later."

The elder supervised Kaelen as he took the pill and then left. "I'm an old man. I'm not getting involved in your romantic affairs."

After this, Kaelen sobered up a little.

He collected all the gifts that were scattered on the ground and returned to the manor. He placed them all in her room, making it full again, as if the owner would soon return.

Kaelen summoned all the servants and had them throw away anything Seraphina had touched.

Then, he returned to Blackrock Summit.

"Aurora, I don't want anything you dislike either."

"You wait. I will find you."

"As long as I can see you, I'll do anything. Even if it means entering this ritual array myself, I'll accept it."
