Seraphina slowly floated into the air, getting closer and closer to Aurora. Her beautiful face was covered in black markings, making her look terrifying.

"I use the life force of all beings to cast a blood curse! Everyone in Greystone City will die of organ failure and will never be reincarnated!"

She laughed triumphantly. "Aurora, you're an Enforcer, aren't you? Save them!"

Then, she used her magic to broadcast her voice throughout the city—

"People of Greystone City, listen up! You all have only one month to live before your bodies rot from the inside out. And the one responsible for all this is your beloved daughter, Aurora."

"If you want to live, tie her to the stake and burn her. Otherwise, you'll all die!"

Aurora’s fists clenched.

Why was she so weak, so easily bullied? What was the point of being an Enforcer like this?

Was this the path of the ritual? To make her watch everything around her perish while she stood by, helpless?

A rift opened in the sky. Kaelen appeared, surrounded by a halo of light, and forcibly interrupted Seraphina’s spell.

"Seraphina, you have committed a terrible crime. Surrender now!"
