The Choice Chapter 18
Nearly ten more minutes passed. The rotten zombie stench drifted over.
"Big sister!"
The child looked at me pleadingly again.
If she weren't a kid, I'd really want to abandon her right now.
"Come on, push hard."
At the last moment, we got the child out.
But once the washing machine moved, the zombies were right there.
A quick count—at least a dozen.
And this was just the advance party. The main force wasn't far behind.
"What do we do? What now?"
Tyler came to my side, though he didn't seem too worried—in his mind, I'd already foreseen this situation.
I laughed bitterly, indicating I had no idea either.
Looking at the child, she'd already crawled into a narrow crevice.
"Big brother, big sister, you should find somewhere to hide quick!"
Even now, the child only thought of protecting herself.
Tyler was dumbfounded. He'd thought he'd latched onto someone reliable, but now realized it was all wishful thinking.
"You should have said something earlier!"
At this life-or-death moment, Tyler stopped being coy. He pulled a small bottle of disinfectant from his shirt pocket.
"You nearly got me killed! If I hadn't prepared at the Science Building, I'd be done for today."
Tyler cursed while quickly spraying disinfectant all over himself.
Those zombies suddenly couldn't find Tyler or me. The child was out of luck.
"Big brother, save me! Can you give me that stuff?"
This child was truly beyond help. I didn't know if today's kids were too naive or just brainless.
