The Choice Chapter 19
Tyler didn't even glance at her, and I finally got my prompt.
A. Stay put, wait for rescue
B. Borrow disinfectant, leave quickly
I figured any normal person wouldn't choose A, so I went straight for leaving.
But because my disinfectant smell was too faint, after dodging this wave of zombies, subsequent ones killed me on the spot.
Tyler, having more disinfectant, ran farther and temporarily escaped danger.
Since leaving didn't work, I could only wait for rescue.
Sure enough, waiting was right. Because I stayed put, Tyler no longer trusted me.
He looked at me with disdain, then glared at the little girl before choosing to leave.
But this guy was truly unlucky. He hadn't gone a hundred meters when a knife came flying from somewhere and hit his thigh.
After he fell, a punk with bleached hair crawled out of the rubble.
Right in front of him, the punk grabbed the disinfectant.
Too bad this punk didn't get to use it—a zombie bit off his arm, and the disinfectant was thrown to the ground.
Perfect. Seeing this, what else was there to say? I selected option A.
"Lily Bennett, you just stay here with that ungrateful little brat and be bait."
Tyler looked at me gloatingly, pushed me aside, and quickly left.
I smiled coldly and ignored him, heading straight for where I'd seen the disinfectant drop.
"Lily Bennett, you—"
Tyler was about to mock me a few more times, but the knife had already flown.
