Our Luna, Our Mate Chapter 141

**Third-Person POV**

It was a couple of hours into the party and many pack members were still mingling about, each having a fun time while present. Some even taking the time to come and wish their Luna and Queen a very Happy Birthday as well.

“Happy Birthday Luna.”

“Yes, Happy Birthday, Luna.”

Smiling at all the lovely gestures, does Athena move to smile. For being the hostess it was her responsibility to make sure those who were present were having a good time, even if it was her own birthday.

“Thank you all of you” replied Athena, still nervous about today. Having yet to see her mates or uncles began to take its toll on her as she tried not to bring attention to herself as worry seeped in.

Where are they, wonders Athena, her mind filling with worry, her eyes now searching the entire area.

‘Hey Kai?’ calls Athena through the mindlink, hoping to reach him.

While waiting for a response, does Athena look for Gwen. Gwen having been helping with her children, as Athena decides to check in with them. Hoping to keep herself busy as she did.

‘I hope Adrian and his siblings are listening to their grandparents’ ponders Athena, only to spot her lovely children. A smile gracing her features as she slowly heads over.

“MOMMY” cries Adrian, his small body now rushing to greet hers the moment he spots her. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”

“Thank you sweetheart” whispers Athena with a smile, her arms moving to hug Adrian as he continued to embrace his mother. Ryder, Nathan and Samara each watching happily from their spot next to Alarick and Gwen.

Spotting her triplets, Athena slowly moves over to each of them before kissing each of their tiny heads, her voice warm yet firm as she moves to speak to each of them.

“Are you three listening to Grandma Gwen and Grandpa Alarick?” asks Athena to her children. The triplets giggling while Ryder and Nathan’s eyes shined with something else. A tiny gleam of mischief now forming as her children begin to get creative when it came down to causing trouble for the pack.

‘Oh boy… I know that look. My babies are scheming again’ muses Athena to her wolf, Artemis purring with continent.

‘That’s good’ answers Artemis. ‘It means there quick on their feet.’

‘That’s not good. They shouldn’t be allowed to cause mischief at this age’ remarks Athena, a feeling that Ryder and Nathan would become handfuls once older.

‘Says who? I’m pretty sure you were one hell of a hellstar when growing up’ scoffs Artemis playfully, not buying into Athena’s innocence.

‘I was not. I’ll have you know that my Uncle Alex once told me that I was the perfect little child while growing up’ admits Athena now proudly.

‘I bet you were’ whispers Artemis, now suddenly on edge that they hadn’t heard from Kai or the others. ‘Where’s Kai?’

‘Not sure’

‘Looks like we’ll need to go find them then’ grunts Artemis, now annoyed that no one bothered to check in.

‘Looks like so’ answers Athena, agreeing before moving to give her children one last hug and kiss before slowly excusing herself. Promising to stop by again once she was able to.

“We look forward to it soon my dear” chuckles Gwen as she goes back to watching her grandchildren alongside Alarick, both equally happy to watch them anytime Athena needed them too.

After parting ways, Athena moves to try the link again. ‘Kai? Ares? Eros?’ but like before, the link stays silent. Athena beginning to worry as she decides on looking for Elise and hoping that maybe her friend had seen them recently.

‘I don’t like this… They never take this long to reply back to us’ admits Athena, her eyes eventually spotting Elise who was with Ashton and Jayden. Ashton having brought Jayden so that he could use that time to bond with Samara some more.

‘I know’ replies Artemis, just as they approached Elise and Ashton.

“Oh hey Athena, are you enjoying your surprise birthday party?” asks Elise, the girls having separated at some point that afternoon so that they could check in with their mates once they slowly arrived at the party.

“Yes… I mean no, not yet” answered Athena truthfully, her eyes looking at Ashton as he sat next to Elise. “Ashton, have you seen my mates?”

“Uh, not since this morning. They ended up spotting their mother this morning and had quickly gone over to see if she needed any help. Kai, Seth and Sam each heading off to handle other pack-related things before the party. Why what’s up?” asks Ashton, his Beta half kicking in even though he was Elise’s Luna.

“It’s just, I can’t seem to find them anywhere. Plus, Kai and the others aren’t answering the mindlink” admits Athena, attempting to keep worry from her voice as she expresses her concerns.

“Relax, I’m sure they're fine. I’m sure they're just off doing something and can’t respond to you right now” admits Ashton, hoping to offer her some sort of comfort without making her freak out on her birthday.

“Right, thanks…” murmured Athena, deciding not to show them just how worried she was on her birthday before turning to leave, letting them enjoy themselves, as the party had started at noon as planned, but now, it was almost 2 in the afternoon, and neither of her mates, nor Kai had bothered to check in with her yet which was starting to drive Athena even more crazy.

“Where are they?” growls Athena, only to see a couple of unmated males surrounding a young girl. A girl that Athena couldn’t quite make out from where she was standing. The males not from any of her packs, which meant they were probably guests from another.

“Please” whimpered the girl. The voice becoming more familiar the closer she got. “I have a mate already.”

“Oh yeah? Prove it? Where’s your mark then?” chuckles one of the males, clearly a tad drunk as alcohol was one of many beverages being served at the party for all the adults, while juice and cider was being served for those who either couldn’t drink or were younger than 10.

“I-I can’t… I don’t have my wolf yet” admits the girl. “But I swear to you that I do have one.”

“Liar” grunts another, as he attempts to move closer to the girl.

“Please… Stop it” cries the girl, this time louder than before.

Narrowing her eyes, Athena moves to approach the small group, only to growl. The males all hitting on Seraphine. Her uncle, Rick’s mate. Biting back the urge to growl again, Athena makes herself known.

“EXCUSE ME! But I do believe she asked you all to leave her alone. So I suggest you do as she asks.”

“And who are you?”

“I’m Luna of this here pack. And this lovely lady that you're harassing is the mate to one of my Uncles. Now… I suggest you leave here immediately before someone here gets hurt” replies Athena, her voice dangerously low.

“You? Luna? Ha, ya right” scoffs one of the males, the group now on her as Seraphine moves to stand closer to Athena.

Growling, Athena moves to speak again, hoping that by what she said next would finally snap some sense into these males. “I am Luna. I’m Luna Athena Moonblood. Luna of the Mystic Shadow Pack as well as the last living heir to the Moon Valley Pack. Alpha Athena Moonblood and Lycan Princess to King Alexander Moonblood. Now… I highly suggest you all step away from this young lady before my uncle, Alpha Rick Moonblood, finds out you're harassing his mate” hisses Athena, Artemis shining within her eyes. The men gulping in pure fear.

“So.. So.. Sorry my Luna. We didn’t know, we swear it” pleads one of the males.

“How do you not? My uncle's scent is all over her” growls Athena again, her eyes still focused on the men.

“Please… We didn’t know. But we promise to be good. Just please, don’t tell our Alpha, Please” begs another.

With narrow eyes, Athena moves to bare her teeth, Artemis now slipping through. “Then leave. NOW” The guys now fleeing with their tails between their legs as they do. Once gone from sight, does Athena move to look at Seraphine, the girl still shaken from the encounter. “Are you okay? Did they hurt you?”

“No, I’m fine. Just scared. I’ve never had that happen to me, not since my time with Ezra. As he always let his pack of Rogues do just about anything to the wolf-less except kill them, something about wanting them to suffer.”

Frowning at her words, Athena moves to approach Seraphine again, Rick's scent clearly all over her, the scent alone making Artemis growl again.

“Don’t worry Seraphine. I won’t let them touch you ever again, neither will my uncle once he finds out about this” whispers Athena, her eyes earnest while her hand moves to rest against her shoulder. A part of her wishing that someone had done that for her when she lived with her family over at the Moon Walker Pack.

“Thank you” whispers Seraphine, moved by her words.

“Of course” was all she said as they slowly move someplace more reserved. A part of her still worried about her mates as well as her Beta, Gamma and Delta.
