Our Luna, Our Mate Chapter 28

**Ares POV**

It doesn't take long before Eros and I slowly approach the Alpha’s Office, for he was just finishing up with Jacob, his son, when suddenly out stormed Jacob in all his fury, surprising us as he marches away, a glare evident upon his face as he does.

‘Someone's in trouble’ chuckles Zeus, amused that Jacob got scolded like a child.

‘Serves him right though, Athena is OUR mate. Not his. He lost that privilege when he rejected her. Now the Moon Goddess has blessed her to us’ I tell him, not feeling one bit sorry for the Future Alpha.

Grunting in approval from Zeus, do we move to knock on the Alpha’s door. “Enter” is the gruff voice of Alpha Paul, Jacob’s father.

Taking that as our cue do we slowly move to enter the room. “Ah Alpha Ares, Alpha Eros, to what do I owe this lovely visit?” replies Alpha Paul, his eyes looking to us as move to stand before him.

“Well actually, we wanted to talk to you about Maya” replies Eros, wanting to get straight to the point.

“Maya? What about her?” remarks Alpha Paul, confused.

“We wanted to ask if it was okay for her to return back home with us, to the Mystic Shadow Pack. We know she is just an Omega but she would be a friendly face to have around for Athena” I say to him.

Pausing, Eros and I study his features as he thinks about his next set of words before speaking. “I don’t see why not, after all Athena is your mate. If it’s Maya you seek, then Maya you shall have although it’ll be hard to see her leave but Maya deserves to be happy and who knows maybe her mate will be at your pack” admits Alpha Paul.

“So.. You agree?” asks Eros in surprise. “I do,” smiles Alpha Paul.

“Thank you Alpha. I promise we’ll take good care of Maya” I exclaim, happy we could take her back home with us.

“For Athena, anything. If only I could have done more for her” whispers Alpha Paul, a sad expression now on his face which confuses us.

I wonder what he meant by that, I wonder as Eros and I continue to stand before the Alpha. But just as I was about to ask, does Kai move to call out to us, urgently telling us to return to the room as something bad happened to our mate. With a glance towards Eros, who only nods, we quickly say our goodbyes before turning and rushing back to our room.

“ATHENA” we exclaim, Eros and I now running into the room only to receive hushed whispers. “Shhh, she’s sleeping” whispers Emma, who was currently sitting next to our mate, Athena curled up on the couch as she slept.

“What happened?” asks Eros, as we slowly move to approach, our eyes still on our mate.

“That Delta and Gamma. Caught them both in here trying to force themselves onto our Luna” growls Kai, angrily.

“WHAT?”

“Afraid so” whispers Lucas sadly. “Had we come any later than what we did, who knows what they would have done to her. Thankfully all they did was kiss and fondle her from what we could see.”

At the mention of kissing and fondling, do we growl. “MINE”.

"Whoa, easy there, she’s safe now Alpha” replies Sam, all while trying to ease the situation.

Growling again, do I move to pick her up gently, a soft whimper rising as Eros and I move to head for my room. “Pack up… By morning we leave. We’re not staying another minute” and then with that said, we move to enter the room, Eros shutting the door before they could reply.

\-Next Day-

It’s about 6 o’clock in the morning when I finally begin to stir, Eros still asleep next to our mate who was directly in the middle of us. ‘Mate’ purrs Zeus, for after last night we had decided that she would stay with us. Eros and I gently moving to take off her dress and shoes before carefully placing her inside one of my oversized t-shirts as she slept in her panties from the previous night.

‘Gods… Our mate is beautiful’ I groan to Zeus, seriously trying my hardest not to mark and mate with her. Eros and I more than ready for her but as we attempted to touch her, would we notice that she would either flinch or whimper which causes us to frown.

‘Mates been threw alot’ whispers Zeus, aware of how poorly she had been treated while growing up as a child.

‘Never again, Athena will never go through that again’ I tell him with determination only to feel movement from next to me. Blinking, I move to look over to my side only to see Athena gazing up softly.

“Good Morning” I whispered to her, not wanting to wake Eros who was still asleep.

“Good Morning” whispers Athena. “Did you change me?” she asks, gesturing to the oversize t-shirt that covered her.

“We did, I hope that was okay” I ask, catching her blush.

“Y-Yes… that was okay” she mumbles softly.

Chuckling, I move to kiss her softly only to startle her, Athena slowly returning the kiss. Mmm, such soft lips, I muse only to hear her moan in return, the bond kicking in which urges me to continue, my hand moving to slip up under her shirt. Athena tensing as I do, which causes me to move, removing my hand from her slowly only for her to whimper.

“Sorry” whispers Athena. “I-I just…” come her jumbled words as she blushes.

“It’s okay love, we can continue later when you're ready” I assure her as I move to exit the bed, needing a shower. But with her fighting for words do I slowly see her cave. “It’s okay love, you did nothing wrong.”

“I-I know, but still” mutters Athena sadly. Frowning I move to lift her into my arms before taking her towards the bathroom to shower, a tiny squeak rising to greet me as I did. “Come, shower with me” is all I tell her as she nods, unable to fight the blush that was rising.

Smirking, I move to enter the bathroom, knowing Eros would soon join us as I move to sit her upon her feet before turning on the shower, adjusting the water's temperature as I did. Once at the perfect temp, do I move to remove my clothes only to halt, my eyes now on our mate.

“Come, don’t be shy” I murmur to her as she blushes once more, moving to remove the shirt and her panties before slowly making her way towards me. Both of us now moving to enter as her blush never leaves.

“Cute” I murmur as I move to wrap my arms around her waist, her blush deepening as the sound of the bathroom door now opening and closing could be heard, signaling to me that Eros had entered while he began to remove his clothes.

“Am not” murmurs Athena as she moves to duck her face, unaware that Eros had finally joined us until his hands moved to caress her back, causing her to jump.

“Easy love, it’s only me” replies Eros, as he moves to kiss her shoulder, easing her tension. Nodding, she moves to let the mate bond take over as her body slowly begins to relax allowing me to smile. Each of us now moving to wash while each of us sneaks in soft touches. My thoughts now on us leaving as Athena seems more relaxed as we move to exit the shower.

“That felt wonderful” purrs Athena as she moves to dry off.

“Indeed, but your company greatly helped” replies Eros with a smirk, his eyes holding that playfulness to it making her blush. “Stop” I tell him. “Stop teasing her, we have other things to do.”

“I know, I know” remarks Eros, as we move to dress, Athena unsure of what to wear. “Umm.. What shall I wear?” asks Athena hesitantly.

“You can wear these love, Maya brought them over last night” admits Eros before they had gone to bed, having asked Kai to ask Maya for clothes for Athena. Blinking, it takes her a second to register Eros's words until slowly she spots the clothes. Smiling, she moves to put them on. “Thank you” replies Athena with a smile.

“Anytime love” I tell her with a smile. “Oh and one more thing, love.”

“Huh? What is it?” asks Athena, a bit more worried.

“We spoke with Alpha Paul and he’s agreed to let Maya come home with us, She’ll be able to come back our pack” I tell her, her expression now in delight.

“Really?” asks Athena, excitement beginning to show.

“Yes” replies Eros, once we all finished getting dressed. “She’ll be able to do everything like normal, except under a new roof and new pack” I say, her excitement overflowing which makes Zeus and I purr.

“T-This is the most wonderful news ever! I need to find her and tell her” exclaims Athena, once dressed before dashing off to find Maya, Eros and I forgotten, at least for the moment as we move to help Kai and the others pack for our long trip home.
