Our Luna, Our Mate Chapter 150

**Eros's POV**

After leaving the Office of the newly remodeled pack house do I slowly begin heading for the outside. Kai having gone to round up all eligible wolves who were willing to help fight, to prepare, for today we would fight to save those we loved and end what should never have happened to begin with.

Lily, I muse, knowing that this was all happening because of her.

‘We should have punished her back when found out she was working for Ezra’ growls Deimos, angry that we left her unattended for so long.

‘I know we should have pal, yet we didn’t and now I feel like we’re paying the price for our mistake’ I admit, not liking the idea of failing or even having the possibility of failing, because as an Alpha it's our responsibility to make sure our Luna and our packs remain safe and so far we’ve managed to fail at both things.

Shoving the thoughts away, at least for now, I move to continue outside. Rick and Alex both dealing with their own thoughts even as we pause just outside the front doors of the pack house.

Our eyes coming face to face with Kai and a whole bunch of eligible warriors who were willing to help fight Lily and save Ares and Athena.

“Kai?” I call out to him, my eyes still taking in all of the warriors before us.

“Yes Alpha?” answers Kai, his voice strong as he moves to look at me.

“What’s going on?”

“What’s going on?” repeats Kai, causing me to nod my head slightly. A part of me knowing what was happening yet another part of me needed Kai to confirm my thoughts. 

“Well… I’ll tell you exactly what’s going on. These my Alpha are all the able bodies or those strong enough to help save our other Alpha and missing Luna.”

Listening to Kai explain I simply move to nod my head, my focus still on those before me even as I can’t help but notice at minimal thousands if not more now standing before us. A part of me knowing that this was way more than what we had before when facing Ezra, and with Cade’s now sudden help along with Elise, Cara and Isaac we would have more than enough to take on Lily or at least that was my goal.

Shifting my gaze back towards Kai, I move to ask him the vital question. “Are they made aware of the dangers of this battle? That there’s a slight chance of them not all returning here alive?”

“Yes… I made sure to explain to them the dangers that they would be facing as they all still agreed to help fight” answers Kai, a proud look displaying across his face at how willing our pack was to help save Athena and Ares.

Nodding, I move to check in with other pack members, filling them in on what I needed them to do for me while others prepared for the upcoming battle for in less than an hour we would be leaving to face Lily.

This ends now. No more waiting, I admit to myself. Determination shining within me, wanting to end it all with Lily and bring my family home safe and sound.

\-An Hour later-

After checking and rechecking with those willing to go into battle for us, it was now time for us to leave. Deimos ready to sink his teeth in first as was I, knowing that today marked the end of a burden and the start of something far greater than anyone could possibly imagine.

‘Ready pal?’ I ask Deimos quickly.

‘Ready when you are’

Smirking, I mentally nod as well before speaking, ‘I’m ready too.’ Then as if that was all that was needed to be said between us, we began leading the charge, all those fit and accountable for now heading towards the last place to ever be seen. The battle ground for the Hunter’s Moon.

**Rick's POV**

When leaving the pack house alongside Alex and Eros, I couldn’t help feel the sudden tension in the air. Pack members were suddenly all on edge as they stood waiting for orders while others waited for command, unsure of what to do with themselves in the meantime.

Whoa, talk about volunteers, I muse, my eyes looking at all those willing to fight for the cause. Some of the warriors from the Mystic Shadow Pack while others came from mine and Alex’s pack as well.

Pride washing over me at those willing to fight for my niece and her mate.

‘Where’s Nodin?’ whispers Arden, his eyes attempting to locate our own Beta through my own eyes.

‘Not sure, but hopefully he’s close by along with Fabian and Cristina’ I say back to him. My eyes now scanning for my Gamma and Delta as well.

A part of me hoping that my Beta, Gamma and Delta were among those volunteering for the cause as they knew Athena way before the merge, ever since she was born to be precise. Each of them promising to always make sure that she would be safe from any and all harm. Even if it was harm given by her.

“Is everything okay?” whispers a voice, the voice pulling me back from my thoughts until it slowly dawns on me who it was that spoke. The soft voice belonging to none other than Seraphine. Our mate.

‘Mate’ purrs Arden, now suddenly happy to have her nearby.

“Yes. Everything is okay my love” I move to whisper back to her, not wanting to worry her with my own thoughts as Eros continues to check up on those joining the fight.

“Are you sure? I mean.. I may not have my wolf yet but we’re mates… so I worry” whispers Seraphine.

Blinking at her words, I can’t help but smile as I move to pull her close to me. My nose now buried deep within her soft black hair, her hair long enough to fall just below the middle of her back as I move to take in her sweet scent of lavender and honey.

“Of course I’m fine. But you my little mate need to stay here for me” I move to say, noticing the way her teal color eyes widen at my suggestion of staying behind, as if she was about to rebuttal the ideal without thinking it through.

“No Sera. Without your wolf present, you’d be a sitting duck. Arden and I wouldn’t be able to fight because of that. We’d be too worried and too focused on you that we’d leave ourselves wide open for an attack. Cristina will stay with you to ensure that nothing terrible happens to you, do you understand?” I move to say to her, hoping that she would understand my concern for her and wanting to keep her safe from the dangers we were about to face.

Taking in our list of concerns does she finally sigh, her shoulders sagging at not liking our suggestion but willing to listen for our sake.

“Yes… I understand. Just promise me that you’ll be safe and bring Athena and Ares home safe and sound” replies Seraphine, her eyes now back on mine.

“I promise”

Sighing again, Seraphine moves to kiss me gently against the mouth, my eyes spotting Alex and Rosalyn doing the same, both sharing a tender moment before they too break away from one another. A sense of urgency to complete this mission and return to our mates rising.

Cristina now coming to stand next to Seraphine as if knowing I needed her which eases my nervousness if only slightly.

“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure she stays safe” replies Cristina, her hand coming to rest against her shoulder as she pulls Sera closer to her in order to give me room to leave.

“Thank you”

“Don’t mention it. Just make sure you bring home our Munchkin and all will be forgiven” teases Cristina, a smile on her lips showing she meant it playfully.

Chuckling at her comment I can’t believe how well they each took to calling Athena munchkin when she was just a little child which makes my chest warm. Thankful for my friends and my family including my mate.

“I will, don’t you worry about that.”

“Good, see to it that you do”

Chuckling again, we finally move out. Eros and Kai leading the pack as we begin to head out and to where I can only assume is the final battleground. The one Athena kept dreaming about during her time here.
