Our Luna, Our Mate Chapter 29

**Athena’s POV**

When Ares and Eros both told me that Maya would be coming with us, I couldn’t control my excitement. A part of me knowing that I needed to tell her, doubting she would have been told by the Alpha or anyone else for that matter.

‘Whoa, easy there tiger’ laughs Artemis who was watching me.

‘Sorry, I’m just so happy. It means we won't be lonely’ I tell her, still excited by the news as I continued on my way.

‘But we’ll never be lonely, we have our mates’ remarks Artemis making me blush, suddenly remembering what we did in the shower. While granted, we didn’t do much except touch and kiss, but a part of me still wanted more. Maybe once back in their pack I can try to get them to do more, come my surprised thoughts as I finally spot Maya.

“MAYA” I shout startling her.

“Huh? Athena? Is everything okay?” asks Maya, who slowly moves her attention towards me.

“Yes, everything is fine. I just wanted to find you. I have something important to tell you” I grin, her expression amusing. “Oh? And what’s that?” questions Maya.

“I just found out, but Alpha Paul is letting you leave with us. We’ll never be separated” I tell her, my excitement showing at how happy I was to have a friend within a new pack.

“F-For real?” asks Maya, shock clearly evident upon her face. “Yes for real,” I say happily. “I can’t wait to start this journey with you.”

“Me either” smiles Maya.

“Well then, let’s go.. We gotta get you packed” I tell her as I usher her back towards her room so she could pack her belongings. “W-What about you? Shouldn’t you pack?” asks Maya. “No, I don’t have much and what things I do have I’ll grab before we leave” I say, leaving no room for her to argue.

\-2 Hours Later-

It’s about 2 hours, literally, and Maya and I are still packing her things. Ares now looking for me. “Everything okay love?” asks Ares as he moves to stand near the door, catching my attention. “Yes, sorry, were just finishing up” I tell him with a smile, not wanting to tell him that I was also telling Maya about them to.

“Okay, because Eros and the others are just about ready, we're getting the cars packed so when you're ready we can leave. Then once we're home, I’ll have you both renounce your pack in order to join ours” replies Ares, making me flinch and look away.

“Are you okay?” questions Ares, noticing the way I reacted to his words.

“Ya, it’s just… I’ve never been officially accepted here as a member, so... I don't think it would matter."

“What? How?” asks Ares baffled. “How could they do that? How is that even possible without you turning Rogue? Without a pack or a link you're basically an outcast.”

“Simple, when you're the pack slave, who needs a link” mutters Maya, unaware she had said that loud enough for Ares to hear, rage boiling at the thought of his mate being the pack slave.

“THAT’S IT! We’re leaving. Maya grab what you need, NOW. The rest can be shipped to the pack” yells Ares as he moves to take my hand before leading us down towards the waiting cars and to where the others now stood waiting.

“WAIT!” I exclaim once were outside. “I need to run home and grab something, Please” I beg, knowing I was taking a risk at going home but I needed to grab the only thing that truly mattered most, my mother’s necklace, a necklace I always kept hidden from prying eyes.

“Fine, but be quick, the sooner we leave here the sooner you’ll be safe from those who wish to harm you” grumbles Ares, his eyes on me before letting me go. “I will, I promise” and with that I quickly run back to my Uncle’s house, grabbing only what I needed.

“Hey where’s Athena going?” asks Emily, who noticed me run in a different direction. Ares helping Maya before speaking. “She went home to grab something” says Ares as he then moves to look at Maya. “Maya, you’ll be riding with Seth and the others” comes Ares' reply as he moves to point at the second vehicle.

Nodding, Maya moves over to the second car just as I slowly return, slightly out of breath as I do. “Back” I say as I move to stand next to Ares. “Perfect, Athena, Love, you’ll be riding with Eros and I along with Kai and his mate” replies Ares, a smile on his face as he moves to take my hand before leading me towards the first car.

Once standing near the first vehicle does Ares slowly move aside, helping me in. No regrets here, come my thoughts as I move to climb in, Ares following suit as Eros climbs in on the other side, Kai and Lucas taking the front.

‘Good, we don’t need their pity’ growls Artemis, glad to be leaving.

‘As much as I want to disagree, I know they never cared.’ I tell her knowing my so-called family would never say goodbye to me. ‘Then don’t. Our mates are with us now. We no longer need this pack,' whispers Artemis just as the car begins to move.

“Sleep love, it’ll be another 2 hours before we finally return home” whispers Eros, his hand now resting on my lap.

“Okay” I say, now cuddling up next to Ares, my body relaxing. Must be because of the mate bond, I think, my eyes closing, heavy with sleep.

\-Mystic Shadow Pack-

The drive to and from the Moon Walker Pack to the Mystic Shadow Pack was indeed 2 hours. 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep as Athena continued to sleep even as the vehicles in question began pulling up to the front of the pack house.

“Athena, darling, we're home” whispers Ares as he gently shakes me awake. “Mmm” I moan, slightly stirring.

“Sleep well?” chuckles Eros, as he takes in my sleep deprived appearance. “I-I did” I yawn, trying to remember the last time I slept so peacefully.

“That’s good to hear, but we need you awake now as I’m sure mother and father will love to meet you” replies Ares, alerting me to my surroundings. My eyes truly seeing just how beautiful their pack was compared to the Moon Walker Pack.

Whoa, I think, my eyes take in all of its beauty. This place is huge.

At seeing my expressions, Eros can’t help but chuckle, causing me to blush. “Sorry, but the look on your face was priceless” admits Eros with a smile. “I’m glad you find my expression endearing” I mutter, just as we reached the front of the pack house.

Once parked, do we all move to exit only to hear a high pitch squeal which causes me to wince just as a voice moves to speak. “ARES! EROS! Your back” is all I hear just as a girl flings herself at my mates.

‘MINE’ growls Artemis, already hating this girl and the way she touched our mates. “Um, excuse me but who are you?” I ask, trying to maintain my cool, my anger rising.

At the sound of my question, does the girl slowly move to pull away, giving my men a chance breathe. “I’m Lily and you are?” asks Lily, her tone bored. ‘Brat’ I mutter to Artemis, my eyes on the girl who called herself Lily. “I’m Athena, I’m Ares and Eros’s mate” I say, now smirking at her expression, her face going from one of shock to anger to disgust.

“Prove it” growls Lily.

“I shouldn’t have too, their mine” growls Artemis who managed to push her way forward, her eyes reflecting in mine. “Now get your paws off them before I make you.”

Ignoring my warning, does Lily return to handing on my mates, even as Seth and Sam arrive with Emma, Emily and Maya. Angered by her complete disrespect towards me do I move to react, now grabbing Lily by the hair as I yank her away from them.

“I SAID move away” growls Artemis again, protective of what was ours.

“LET GO OF ME YOU BITCH” yells Lily now trying to free herself from within my grip. “Watch your language, she’s your new Luna” growls Seth, angered as well. “Like HELL she is” yells Lily as she finally shoves me off her.

“Aww, what’s the matter, too scared to accept me as your new Luna?” taunts Artemis, not caring about her or her willingness to accept, so long as our mates did. “Bitch please, I’m not scared of you” growls Lily angrily. “Then prove it, fight me” growls Artemis in a challenge,wondering if she would accept it or not.

“Ah no” smirks Lily, as she slowly walks away ignoring the challenge. Glaring, its all I can do as I slowly watch her leave, Artemis now retreating as she did. Growling again, I attempt to go after her only to be stopped by Ares. “Easy there love, she’s not worth it. Come lets get you and Maya settled and then we'll introduce you to our parents.”

“Fine” I whisper, now relaxing at his touch. “That’s our girl” chuckles Eros, his voice making my insides melt before leading us inside.
