Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 20: Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate

“Who is this boss you keep speaking of?” I finally asked and he smirked. 

“The one you asked for help in taking down Tiyanna and Alpha Cameron. The only one who is even willing to help you.”  

“What is the message?” I asked. 

“You are to pay him 2 million dollars and are not to ask any questions about his method of capturing and torturing the girl or whatever he decides to do with her and he will in turn help you in defeating Alpha Cameron. The money will go towards that effort, so don’t worry about why he is asking for it. The money is to be transferred by the end of next week if you choose to accept his help, but if you refuse his help, which I don’t think you will since you’re the one who contacted him in the first place, then you will take care of everything on your own.” he says. My eyes widened in realization of who he was speaking of, and then I frowned at the amount of money he wanted for the job. 

“I know that I contacted him, but he never said anything about a price that high for his help. I’m not made of money and that girl refused to sign me as her guardian, so I wasn’t able to get a hold of her inheritance.” I said to him. 

“That’s none of my business or concern. I’m only supposed to deliver the message and then return with your answer. He wanted it like this so that there can be no way to trace any phone records or other paper trails. I’m leaving as soon as you give me your answer.” He stands there still looking bored and annoyed.  

“Tell him that my answer is yes to his terms. I don’t care what he does with the bitch as long as he gets her away from Cameron. His suffering before his death is all that matters to me, though her suffering will make me happy as well. I’ll get him the money in some kind of way. I have half at the moment.”  

“Well, that’s all I needed to hear, and now I’ll be on my way. Oh, and Conrad, if you don’t pay or renege in any way on your part of the deal, I hope that you understand what will happen to you. My boss is not known for being merciful nor does he give second chances, so I hope you know what you're getting yourself into with him. If you think Cameron is dangerous, you haven’t met my boss. Have a good day.” He is turned loose and he quietly walks away from us as if he owns the place. 

“Conrad, how are you going to get the other half of the money to pay them? We will be bankrupt if you take the other part of the money from the business account.” says my Beta. 

“Jared, if it means getting rid of that girl and her mate who killed my family, then that is what will happen. We can always make more money. The company is doing great plus the pack members can take care of themselves with their jobs for now. It’s about time they start pulling their own weight and taking care of themselves instead of relying on their Alpha.” I say to him before turning and heading back to the pack house to change into some jeans and a polo shirt and head to my office to handle some paperwork for the pack. 

UNKNOWN POV 

“Have you taken care of our problem?” he asks me over the phone. 

“Yes boss, but we lost some men. I told him that you would be upset about this and compensation may be needed. His answer was yes to your help and terms just as you said he would. For a moment there it looked like he wasn’t going to agree when I told him the part about you saying that you could do whatever you wanted to the girl.” I tell my boss and I hear him chuckle on the other end of the line. 

“That’s good to know. This will make everything that much better. Hurry back and get with the others so that we can get started on our plans. By the time everything is over, nobody will know what hit them.” He laughs some more before hanging up the phone. 

“I almost feel bad for what’s going to happen to these people, but none of this is my business and as long as I get paid, I honestly don’t care.” I say to myself as I get rid of the burner phone and get into my car. Once inside, I take off towards the hideout. 

Tiyanna’s POV 

I was asleep on the seat of the vehicle, but I had no idea how long I was out before I started to stir awake. There were voices in the car and two of them I could make out but the other I wasn’t sure of who that was, so I assumed it was the driver. When I started to move, the conversation stopped and I sat up looking around as I stretched my arms and yawned.  

“Looks like sleeping beauty is finally awake,” said Talon as he gave me a little smile and wink. I smiled back at him and a low growl came from the man sitting on my right. My mate. I simply roll my eyes and look out the window to see if I know where we are but there’s nothing but forests on both sides. 

“Talon, I thought you said we could go to my lawyer before heading back to your pack. I really need to get that issue settled.” I tell him but his smile disappears, and he looks from me to my mate, then back to me. 

“I know, and I’m sorry, but we can go tomorrow. Cam...I mean the Alpha has to get back to the pack for urgent business. I’ll accompany you tomorrow to your lawyer. Can you call and tell them that you’ll be able to do it for sure tomorrow. I have to go into town anyway for some supplies.” He looks at me as if he is hoping that I will not start anything, but you know me. I turned my attention to my mate. 

“I should have known it was you. There’s probably nothing that you have to do back in your pack. You just don’t like not being the one calling the shots, which is crazy, because my one-stop wouldn’t have taken but five minutes of your precious time. I swear I am so sick of people thinking they can talk or treat me any kind of way.” I all but shouted at him.
