Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 41: Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate

A few more weeks pass and I’ve become closer with Sierra, Caroline, and Luna Marla. Talon apologized for grabbing and yelling at me, but I told him that he didn’t need to because I understood that his mate was hurt. I did talk to Luna Marla about why I was still feeling the way I felt about Cameron and the tingles when we touched, and she asked me if he had accepted the rejection that night. When I thought back to that night and every day after, I realized that he never accepted my rejection and he had plenty of chances. A part of me wanted to believe that he didn’t want to reject me as his mate because he really wants me, but I think about how he is around me and quickly dismiss those thoughts even though there was that time he told me that he did want me.  

“Tiyanna, are you listening to me?” asked Sierra as we are walking to the dining hall for lunch after training. 

“I’m sorry Sierra, what did you say?” I asked her. 

“You’re impossible. What were you thinking about that has you ignoring your best friend?” she asked with fake annoyance. I couldn’t help but giggle and wrap an arm around her shoulder. 

“It really was nothing serious. Mostly just thinking about some stuff your mom told me about mate bonds that I didn’t know and that I should do something to thank her for helping me to control my mind link. I’ll look for something for her online later.” I tell her as we continue on our way. 

Why is it that whenever things are going great, something bad finds a way in to mess up your day? As we entered the dining hall two things caught my attention at once, and neither were good. My mate was standing in the middle of the hall with trinity draped all over him as he talked to my ex-mate, Mark. A low growl comes from me and I have to fight to suppress it as we walk to our seats. My mate looks in my direction and gives me a look that tells me not to start anything, but I’m not the one in control at the moment, Silver doesn’t take warnings very well. Sierra leans into me and asks me what's wrong.  

“Why is she all over him? At least if they’re going to do that, why can’t they do it behind closed doors? It's like he gets off on hurting me.” I say the last part low enough for her to not pick up on but I know that he can hear me. “Also, that man he is talking to, was my first mate. What the hell is that treacherous bastard doing here and furthermore why is Cameron entertaining him?” I asked her. 

“Well, as for your first few questions, she’s a whore so when is she not draped across a man. Sadly, my brother is not using the brain on his head. None of this makes sense because he said he’d never touch her again. I’ll get to the bottom of this tonight. Don’t worry. As for the second part, I have no idea who this man is or why my brother is entertaining him if he knows who that is to you, or should I say who he used to be to you. Look, lets just ignore all of them and eat so we can have a girl's night. We’ll go to the theater room and watch movies. I’ll have some snacks made ready for us too.” she says trying to take my mind off of what is happening in front of me. 

The rest of lunch I kept talking to Sierra and some others that I’ve become close to in the pack and we decided on what movies to watch. Sierra sent a text to the head maid to let her know what snacks and things we wanted for the girls’ night. Everything was settled by the time we finished eating and everyone went their own separate ways for the evening. While walking out of the dining hall, I saw Sierra and Caroline give Cameron looks of disappointment but he didn’t seem phased.

 Heading up to my room, I strip out of my training clothes and get into the shower for a nice hot shower. My muscles start to relax under the spray of the water and I try not to think about why Mark is here. Nothing good can come of him being here. No, I’m not going to think about any of that right now. I’m supposed to be relaxing and that is what I’m going to do until after dinner for our girls’ night. I’m done with him and anything to do with the Red Dawn pack no matter that Cameron now owns them.
