Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 74: What happened to Alpha Conrad?

Weeks passed and we still weren’t any closer to finding out where Conrad has been hiding. She seemed to be more focused on trying to get into my mate’s pants than giving up information and quite frankly I’m sick of the whole situation. I’m to the point to where I’d rather just torture her until she tells us what we need to know. We’ve started sleeping in separate rooms because I can no longer stand him coming into our bedroom smelling like her every night. Oh, I know they haven’t done anything but being a double Alpha I can smell even the faintest scent just from them being in close proximity to one another. Her smell drives my wolf to want to go on a killing rampage, so in order to keep her in check we decided it would be best to sleep in separate rooms to keep everyone safe. In the middle of the night, he has come into my room and watched me sleep for a few minutes before leaving. Usually when he comes it is close to the time, he wakes up to go for a run before training and then he starts his workday.  

Today I’ll be spending time training and trying to work on staying away from the cells so that I don’t kill Trinity. Cameron and I are going to have to have a talk soon about this situation, because it doesn’t seem to be working. We cannot go on like this for too much longer. There has to be a way to get the information we need from her, but she is so focused on trying to get out of a cell and into Cameron’s bed. That woman definitely has a one tracked mind. After going to training, I grab some breakfast then go shower and change into a dress and low heels to meet Luna Marla for some mother and daughter-in-law time. She said that we needed to spend some time together and hoped it would also help to keep my mind occupied. When I arrived in the sunroom, I got a pleasant surprise. Not only was my mother-in-law there, but Cameron’s sister and Talon’s mate were there as well. 

They both stood up and bowed slightly towards me before hugging me. I couldn’t help but giggle because they know that they do not have to bow to me in private. If it were up to me they wouldn’t have to bow at all, but for appearances sake I had to get used to them bowing in public. As I’ve been told on numerous occasions, we can be friends in private, but in front of the pack and others, I must act as a Luna and allow the respect that comes with that title. I’m the leader to the strongest pack in North America and must conduct myself as such. Yeah, I've heard that lecture from Cameron and Talon a million times or more when I first took over officially as the Luna.  

“Caroline, Sierra, what are you both doing here? I thought I was only meeting with Luna Marla today.”  

“Well, mom thought we could make it a girls’ day instead of just the two of you.” said Sierra. 

“I definitely needed a break from Talon, so I was happy for the invitation. Said Caroline and we all laughed. 

“I’m happy all of you are here. I’ve been in a dark place lately and I think my wolf and I need some fun.”  

“Today we are going to the pool and have our own little pool party. I’ve ordered snacks and drinks to be brough in for us and later we’ll go to the spa before coming back to change for a night out. I’m thinking dinner and dancing. Well, I’ll accompany you young ladies to dinner and head home while you all go out dancing.” 

“Luna Marla you are more than welcome to come dancing with us. I mean we’re only going dancing and not meeting men. Two of us can’t anyway.” I say before laughing. “Could you see the looks on Cameron and Talon’s faces if they even saw someone looking at me or Caroline? That club would turn into a crime scene in no time flat.” Everyone in the room starts to laugh because they know that I’m telling the truth. Truth be told, Cameron would do the same behind his mother and sister but there is whole other level that he will take things behind his mate, and they all know that after the incident with Eric when I tried to run away when I first came here. 

“No, I think I’ll let the young ones have fun and I’ll come back home. Nobody wants to see their former Luna out shaking her behind with a bunch of young she-wolves. Have a good time without me but thank you for the invitation.” She smiles and pulls me in for a motherly hug. 

“Alright enough of this sappy stuff! Time to get this girls’ day started.” yells Sierra. 

We all leave to get our bathing suits and I decide to wear this new bikini set I bought on one of our recent shopping trips. I didn’t need anything, but when i saw this bikini, I just had to get it. There’s nothing really special about it but there were these beautiful blue butterflies strategically placed on them. The bathing suit is bright yellow and the butterflies are a brilliant dark blue color. Each brings out the color of the other and looks amazing. My mother loved butterflies and that’s what made me buy it. Now, Cameron hasn’t seen me in the suit and that’s a good thing cause as big as my boobs and butt are this suit leaves very little to the imagination. Good thing it’ll only be us girls out today. I put on a robe to cover myself before leaving my room and heading towards the pool.
