“Some of you have indeed forgotten who I am, but today that changes. If anyone, no matter your rank or standing within this pack, challenges any rules that I give again you will be sent to the dungeons or put to death immediately depending on the crime. I’ve had enough of some thinking they can do whatever they want or treat people that they deem beneath them like crap. Do not think that it has escaped my notice just because I am busy with work. I’ve just not had a chance to deal with the matters myself but that ends now. If any omega is seen being treated poorly by anyone and it is not reported then you will suffer the same fate as the oppressor. Everyone is equal within this pack as far as how you should be treated goes. With that being said, there may be some new members joining the pack in two weeks from the Red Dawn pack. Mostly they are children and elderly, I’m not stupid enough to allow anyone other than them inside our pack borders from that pack just yet without further investigation. They will not be allowed in this packhouse until I deem it okay. Now, another issue I wish to address is Tiyanna. Some rules were broken concerning her and that will not go unpunished. Trinity, were you or were you not told to steer clear of her and to not provoke her by your Alpha? Only answer yes or no.” I say in an authoritative voice. 

“Yes Alpha, but...” she says but I cut her off. 

“I said only yes or no. I don’t need an explanation. 

“Yes Alpha,” she says. 

“Yet, you antagonized and attacked her, correct,” I said to her. 

“I didn’t antagonize her. She hit me with the door and I said that her apology wasn’t sincere and she should show me the proper respect as the future Luna of this pack!” She yells at me earning her more than a few growls from pack members including my mother and sister. 

Suddenly, a loud crack is heard and I see Trinity grab her face. When I turn to see who slapped her, I find that it is my mother standing there breathing hard. “You slut! How dare you yell at your Alpha yet you talk about respect. Now I have kept my mouth shut as you parade around here acting like the queen of the castle when you’re nothing but a common whore. The only way I’d allow my son to take you as his Luna will be over my dead body. This pack was built by our ancestors and with each generation it has grown stronger and more prosperous, so if you think that I’ll sit idly by and allow you to run this place into the ground you can think again. Cameron, I love you and the Alpha that you have become, your father would be so proud of you, but if you don’t get rid of this woman and take your mate as your Luna so help me...” she says before throwing her hands up and walking out of the room. 

“Are you just going to stand there and let her hit me? I know that she is your mother but she is no longer the Luna of this pack and has no right to hit me or talk to me or even about me in that manner,” asks Trinity. 

“Quiet! My mother is right in everything that she said to you. Everyone here knows what a whore you are and that you are not good for my brother. He has found his mate and whether they end up together or not, you will never be accepted as our Luna. You rejected your own mate because he wasn’t a ranked wolf. You’re a despicable excuse for a wolf and a human being. Brother, get rid of this trash and do us all a favor.” says my sister before she turns and runs after my mother.

I’ll go and talk to them later, but right now I still have business to attend to with my pack members and mate. As I turn back towards the crowd, I see by their facial expressions that they agree with my mother and sister. I can’t make her my Luna if nobody wants her in the position. That is just one more thing that I'll have to deal with later.  

“Now back to the issue at hand. Trinity, for the crime of assaulting Tiyanna and disobeying my orders, you will receive 30 lashes and spend five days in the dungeon. You will also apologize to her as well as to every member of this pack for being disrespectful. After your sentence find somewhere else to live. I cannot have you and Tiyanna in the same house even if you’re on different floors. Eric, please take two guards and escort her to her cell to receive her punishment.” 

“Yes, Alpha. Come on Trinity,” he says as he walks out of the room with her and two guards.  

“From now on, if any of you have any problems in this pack please speak up. I may be ruthless but I will not hurt any member of this pack without just cause to do so and you should be able to come to me, Talon, Eric, or my mother with any complaints. Omegas, if any of you have anything to report about any mistreatment by anyone whether past or present, I want you to report to Talon’s office now and talk to him. If you are female and feel more comfortable talking to a woman then report to my mother’s office and she’ll be happy to help you. This meeting is now adjourned. You are all dismissed.” 

I watch as everyone starts leaving and turn my attention to my mate. There’s so much that I want to tell her but I can’t bring myself to do it right now. Instead of talking to her, I turn and walk out of the back door of the packhouse and take off running while shifting into my wolf.
