Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 25: Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate

“Are you serious right now? So, what you’re saying is that I should have just let her hit me? I have a right to defend myself if I’m being attacked. I’ll be damned if I ever have a repeat of what happened to me at my former pack. I’m out of here. Screw staying until morning. I’d rather take my chances with the rogues, at least they have a reason to try to harm me.”  

Tearing my arm from his grasp I turn to leave and wait until I’m far enough away from everyone, but knowing that he’ll hear me, to say “I hate you Cameron” and head upstairs to grab my bag. When I reach my room, another woman is sitting on the loveseat like she has been patiently awaiting my return. She seems to be about my age with chestnut colored hair, green eyes very similar to Cameron’s and a fit body. I’m in no mood for another of his bimbos. 

“Look, if you’re here to tell me to leave don’t worry I’m about to and you all can have Cameron to yourselves. I’m not even here for him and yet you all feel like you need to defend that man whore.” I say with venom in my voice. 

“Uh, my name is Sierra and I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I’m Cameron’s sister not his lover and he definitely doesn’t need me to defend him. I’m guessing you’ve met Trinity though from your attitude.” she says with a giggle at the end. There’s a knock at the door and another woman peeks her head inside.  

“There you are Sierra. Honey what are you doing in here?” Finally seeing me, she covers her mouth with her hand before shaking her head. “I’m so sorry dear, I didn’t know anyone was staying in this room. My name is Marla. I’m the former Luna of this pack, and you are?” she says extending her hand out for me to shake. I notice that she does have a resemblance to Sierra and Cameron. 

“Hello Luna Marla. My name is Tiyanna and I came here with Talon and Cameron today, but I think it is time for me to go before I do something I regret. Okay, I’m lying. I won’t regret killing that tramp at all, or knocking some sense into that Alpha.” I say while packing my bag and heading for the door. 

“Wait, what am I missing? Sierra do you know what is going on around here?” she asks her daughter but I’m already making my way downstairs. 

“The only thing I can think of is that she met Trinity. That girl is enough to turn a saint into a killer.” says Sierra as I hear both of them trailing behind me. 

“Tiyanna, please wait. I don’t want you to leave with the wrong idea about Cameron or our pack.” says his mother. 

“Luna Marla, with all due respect, I don’t care what the right idea of him or this pack would be as I was only supposed to be here for one night. I’ll have no problem sleeping in the forest in wolf form and traveling back to the city. All I can say is that it is too bad I didn’t meet you both when I first arrived. Besides Talon and Caroline, you’re the only ones with any manners around here.” I say just as I feel my mate coming up behind us as we’re now standing in the foyer. 

“Tiyanna, we need to talk.” says Cameron. 

“As far as I’m concerned, we have nothing to discuss, Alpha.” I spit out. 

“Don’t make me restrain you. Follow me to my office. You can leave after we discuss something.” he says and walks off like he just expects me to follow him. 

Instead of following him, I grab the handle of my bag and open the door not closing it behind me as I walk down the drive way leading back to the gate. The gate would be a problem seeing as how I’m not a member of this pack, but I could possibly toss my bag over and then climb over it if they don’t let me out. After fifteen minutes of walking, I finally reach the gate and thankfully it is open letting in a car, so I quickly dash through and continue on my way down the road.  

Suddenly, I remember that I didn’t reject him before leaving, but decide to keep going. We’ll never see each other again and he has his chosen mate so the bond will break as soon as he marks her for the Luna ceremony. I’ll be free from him in no time, I’m sure. I continue walking when I hear a thunderous growl penetrate the air and shakes the ground. Instinctively I know that the growl came from my mate and I start to run while another thought crosses my mind. This man has a huge territory and it will take me forever to reach the boundary line, and even when I do, being that I do not know this area, I don’t know if I’ll end up in another pack’s territory or in no man’s land. Why did I let my pride get to me and leave instead of just going back to my room and getting some sleep? Talon could have taken me in the morning and all would have been fine.
