Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate Chapter 43: Alpha Cameron's Vengeful Mate

“Have you always not been able to smell him?” asked Talon from beside Cameron. 

“I’ve always been able to smell him. I mean he was my mate once...wait a minute. Why wasn’t I able to smell you?” I turned and asked Mark. 

“That’s none of your business.” he barked at me. 

“There’s no way that I shouldn’t have been able to smell him. I smelled him in the dining hall so why can’t I do that now? Something isn’t right here.” I asked Cameron through the mind-link.   

“I’m wondering about that myself, but we’ll get to the bottom of it later.” he assured me. 

“Talon, take him to the pack hospital to get his injuries checked out. If that nose sets wrong, they’ll have to break it again. Oh, and before I forget. Mark, if you touch anyone again without their permission, I will personally rip your heart from your chest.” said Cameron in a menacing tone before he turned and walked away. 

After they left, I went to the training grounds and went straight punching bag. Once my hands were taped, and the gloves were on, I went to work on bag. I kept picturing the faces of everyone that hurt me and took my anger out on the bag. It wasn't until I heard Talon screaming my name that I stopped and noticed the entire gym was quiet and looking at me. The punching bag was completely obliterated. Damn, when did that happen? I thought to myself. 

“Tiyanna, are you okay?” asked Talon. 

“Yeah, I’m fine just working out.” I said to him. 

“Looks like you’re working something out alright. I’ll get someone to change the bag, but why don’t you try some weapons training. I’d suggest sparring but I don’t want any pack members to end up in the hospital.” he said half-jokingly.  

“Good idea. The last thing I need is for Cameron to get pissed at me for injuring his pack members.” I say. 

“First you act like a slut and now you’re disrespecting our Alpha by calling him by his name. Guess that’s to be expected from someone from the Red Dawn pack. Bunch of muts and mongrels with no kind of etiquette, morals, or good breeding in general.” said Trinity. 

“Trinity! Watch your mouth! The Alpha has already warned and punished you for bothering Tiyanna or do you need reminding of the consequences?” said Talon in his Beta voice. 

“She is beneath me here and so are you. I am the chosen mate of Cameron, so why should I listen to you. Did you not see how he was with me in the dining hall? He’s forgiven me and as long as i don’t touch her, I can say whatever I want to her.” she said to Talon. 

“I will never be beneath you, unlike half the men in this and neighboring packs. You’re very popular I hear. Oh, did you ever get that little problem taken care of at the hospital? I heard you had a little fire going on downstairs.” I said to her causing a few people to laugh which pissed her off. 

“HOW DARE YOU! I should have you killed for saying such lies about me.” she screamed. 

“Facts aren’t lies. I’ve told you before that I was barely here a few hours and was already told by countless people about your extracurricular activities. I heard that you put rabbits to shame.” More laughter erupted and her face turned different shades of red. 

“I’ll teach you some manners.” she said and raised her hand to slap me. Before I could move out of the way, someone grabbed her arm and pushed her backwards several feet. When I turned to see who had intervened, I was surprised at who I saw standing in front of me. 

“Luna Marla!” said everyone in unison as they all showed their necks in submission. I did the same out of respect. 

“How dare you talk to Tiyanna and Talon in that manner! Talon is the Beta of this pack and you will show him the respect that he deserves, and as for Tiyanna, she is a member of this pack as well as my son’s true mate. Whether they accept each other or not, she is also a double Alpha and you will show her respect as well. You are no better than anyone else here and I believe you’ve forgotten your place. Guards!” yelled Luna Marla and six men showed up instantly as if they were waiting patiently nearby to be called upon. 

“Please escort Trinity to the dungeon and give her 50 lashes with silver tipped cat-o-nine tails. Maybe this time her punishment will take.” she said and they grabbed her and took her away. 

“Tiyanna, Talon, I am so sorry about her. I wish that son of mine would just banish her and be done with this mess, but for whatever reason he hasn’t done it yet.” She said shaking her head in disbelief. 

“Luna, you know that your son has always been stubborn and once his mind is set on something, it is very hard to change his mind.” said Talon. 

“You’re right. He used to at least listen to me about really serious things concerning the pack, but now it feels like he only humors me.” she said with a sad look in her eyes. 

“Luna, I think he does still value your opinion. He’s just feeling the pressure from these rogues and not to mention finding his mate and acquiring a new pack. None of this was on his agenda, but now that it is, he’s trying to figure out how to navigate it all. You know one thing for certain is his love for you and Sierra.” said Talon. For some reason that last part made my heart hurt. Why can’t I be included among the people that he loves? What’s wrong with me?
