After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms Chapter 60
"What do you mean?" Hazel's voice trembled.
Louisa's smile widened, turning wicked. "You know, I really don't understand. You pay me to keep quiet, then boldly hold a press conference calling me a homewrecker. Do you want me to reveal the truth or not? Make up your mind."
"W-what truth? I don't know what you're talking about." Hazel panicked and shoved Louisa away, but she pushed too hard and ended up falling to the ground herself.
This scene left everyone stunned again. They looked at Louisa in disbelief.
"What kind of person is this Louisa? Taking money isn't enough—she has to torment the legitimate wife and terrorize the mother-in-law? How brazen can she be?"
George was the first to react, grabbing Louisa's wrist and raising it as he scolded her harshly, "Haven't you caused enough trouble? Aren't you embarrassed yet?"
"Embarrassed?" Louisa continued smiling, looking at him like he was some strange creature. "That's rich. The man taking a concubine isn't embarrassed. The woman eager to be the other woman isn't embarrassed. The person spreading lies isn't embarrassed.
"I've done nothing wrong—why should I be embarrassed?"
Her words rang out clear and resonant. The entire venue fell silent.
Someone picked up the marriage certificate from the floor. "This marriage certificate is genuine," they said.
"It does look real."
"Of course—you might forge many things, but how could anyone fake the official seal from the marriage registry and information entered in the government system?"
"Then why would..."
All eyes turned toward Hazel.
"Hazel is George's mother. Even if no one else knew, she couldn't possibly be unaware whether this marriage certificate was real or fake."
"So why would she claim it was forged?"
"And what about that press conference a while back? She looked so sincere clearing Vivian's name and calling Louisa a homewrecker. Why would she lie so blatantly?"
"Isn't it obvious? Look at the date on that certificate—it's from seven years ago. If Louisa and George have been married for seven years without going public, it must be because Ms. Gray looked down on Louisa's background."
"Then she probably thought Louisa wasn't worthy of the Capulet family and tried to buy her off to divorce George."
"But after making the deal, she didn't want to pay that much money, so she held that press conference and made up lies about Louisa, hoping Louisa would break the agreement herself."
"That's so unfair. If they didn't approve of her, they could ask her to leave, but why refuse to pay what they promised? It's not like the Capulet family can't afford it."
Everyone pieced together the truth with their speculations. They now understood that this wasn't some ex-girlfriend trying to extort money—this was a legitimate wife confronting a homewrecker and a cruel mother-in-law.
Hearing these comments, Hazel instantly lost her previous untouchable dignity.
"No, no, it's not what you think..." she stammered defensively. But under everyone's contemptuous stares, her confidence crumbled completely.
The Price family was mortified. They had been so proud, thinking their daughter had found a suitable match in every way, only to discover he was already married.
They had never been so humiliated. Glaring at Hazel, they demanded, "You knew your son was already married, yet you went along with our announcements about the Capulet-Price union? Mrs. Hazel Capulet, how could you hide something like this? Were you trying to ruin our daughter?"
Hazel became the target of everyone's anger, never imagining things would escalate to this point. She desperately tried to explain. But the furious Price family was in no mood to listen.
George watched the scene unfold and closed his eyes tightly. The situation was chaos—nothing could stop it now.
He turned to Louisa, fury burning in his eyes. "Now that you've caused this mess, are you satisfied?"
"Satisfied?" Louisa laughed. "How could I be?" She'd dealt with Vivian and Hazel, but she was just getting started.
"You—" George was too angry for words. His grip on her wrist tightened, right over the spot where she had cut herself yesterday.
The two deep wounds hadn't healed yet, and now they reopened.
However, Louisa seemed immune to the pain. Blood seeped through the bandage and silk scarf, trickling down her arm...

Meanwhile, upstairs in the mansion's VIP suite, through the clean, bright floor-to-ceiling windows, someone was watching everything unfold.
Julian sat on the sofa, legs crossed, his amber eyes gazing out the window.
Teddy and Bob were pressed against the glass like geckos, watching the drama playing out below.
"Enjoying the show?" a cool voice came from behind them.
The two jumped in surprise and turned to face Julian, standing ramrod straight as they shook their heads in unison. "Not at all."
Julian raised his eyes and gave them a blank stare. Though his expression was emotionless as usual, Teddy and Bob felt intensely intimidated.
Teddy quickly changed his answer, "Yes, it's very entertaining!"
Julian said nothing, turning his attention back to the window, to that vivid, stubborn figure in red. Bright crimson drops slid down her delicate arm, falling one by one to the ground, and landing just as heavily on the heart.
Was she really that immune to pain? His calm eyes gradually darkened with intensity. It was as if everything around him disappeared, leaving only that splash of color in his vision.
Finally, he spoke quietly, "If it's entertaining, let's go watch in person."
Before Teddy and Bob could process his words, Julian stood and walked toward the door. They hurried after him.
Teddy whispered, "Could it be that Mr. Tudor is going down there to back her up?"
Bob replied, "You can be more confident and drop the 'could it be' part."
Teddy's eyes widened. "No way! Mr. Tudor, no matter how dramatic things get, they're still husband and wife. With your dazzling presence, you can't become the universally despised other man!"
