After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms Chapter 88
Even without turning around, Louisa knew what Neil intended to do.
The moment his hand was about to touch her, she quickly stepped aside, dodging his lecherous grasp. Then she gave him a cold look, her eyes filled with undisguised disgust.
"Mr. Robinson, Ms. Hughes just told me that the Tudor Group values personal morality above all else. Even small lies aren't permitted. I wonder how the management would respond to behavior like yours?"
With that single statement, she made her position clear: she wouldn't let him have his way with her just to advance her career.
Workplace harassment was something that couldn't be openly acknowledged, and Neil couldn't force her if she wouldn't cooperate.
His face darkened immediately. "Louisa, is it? Quite the stubborn one."
He wanted to see just how long she could maintain that stubbornness.
Casting a vicious glance at the body he craved but couldn't have, he said, "Our team doesn't have any projects for you right now. Go out and see if anyone needs assistance. You can help them."
It sounded nice, but really, he was relegating her to fetching coffee and water. Louisa understood perfectly and left without another word.
The Investment Department was a key division of the Tudor Group, divided into twelve teams. Louisa found an empty desk in Team Seven's area and sat down.
Within minutes, Neil emerged from his office, clapped his hands, and addressed the team, "Meeting in the conference room in three minutes. Everyone except Louisa should attend. Josie Garner, bring the Aurora Media Group loan application materials."
"Yes, sir." Everyone acknowledged his order and followed him to the meeting room.
Louisa knew Neil was isolating her, but she didn't care. What caught her attention was his mention of Aurora Media Group.
After a moment of thought, she immediately stood up and headed to the Finance Department.

Meanwhile, on the 36th floor, Julian returned to his office after concluding several international video conferences.
Teddy followed behind him, placing a cup of coffee on his desk. Julian took a sip and asked, "Isn't Mr. King supposed to arrive today?"
"Yes," Teddy promptly replied. "Mr. King landed yesterday at noon. I've arranged for him to stay at the Dreamscape Club. He has a 10 AM appointment with you today. He's on his way now and should arrive in about twenty minutes."
Julian nodded, took out his phone, and opened his WeChat conversation with Louisa. No messages.
He knew she had no car and commuting would be difficult, so this morning he had arranged for Bob to wait at the community entrance ten minutes early.
But even when he went downstairs, there was no sign of Louisa. Could she still be angry about his business trip comment yesterday? He had only meant to tease her.
Teddy quietly observed his reaction, noticing his furrowed brow. "Mr. Tudor, don't worry. Ms. Forbes is doing well in the Investment Department. She's working diligently."
Julian glanced at him. "Did I say I was thinking about her?"
Teddy mentally protested: 'I didn't say you were thinking about her either! There was a difference between worrying and thinking about.'
But he didn't dare voice this, only offering a dry chuckle.
"How is she doing in the Investment Department? Is Teresa giving her a hard time?" Julian asked.
Teddy considered. "I suppose you could say that."
Julian wasn't satisfied with this answer. "What do you mean, 'suppose'?"
"Ms. Hughes hasn't done anything directly to Ms. Forbes, but she assigned her to Team Seven—Neil's team," Teddy quickly explained.
"Neil?" Julian's voice suddenly darkened.
He knew Neil was notorious for his lecherous behavior. Almost every young woman in the department had experienced his harassment.
Julian had considered dealing with him, but such matters were complicated. The female employees who submitted to him for promotions or project commissions did so willingly, without being forced. So Julian had difficulty addressing the situation.
As Investment Director, Teresa certainly knew about Neil's reputation. To assign Louisa to someone like that—was she insane?
Seeing his boss's ice-cold expression, Teddy hastily added, "Mr. Tudor, don't worry. Neil is indeed inappropriate, but Ms. Forbes didn't compromise."
"Of course she wouldn't compromise." Julian understood Louisa's character well enough.
After a moment of silence, he asked, "What is Louisa doing now?"
"Neil took the entire department to a meeting but excluded her. She went to the Finance Department. I don't know what she's doing there," Teddy replied.
Julian nodded. "Give the order that no matter what she wants to check, the Finance Department should fully cooperate with her."
"Yes, sir."

Downstairs, in the Finance Department, Louisa successfully obtained Aurora Media Group's recent financial statements.
Thanks to Teddy's instructions, the Finance Department staff were very accommodating.
She sat in the Finance Department reviewing the reports. After finishing, she frowned, deep in thought.
A young woman noticed and brought her a glass of water. "Ms. Forbes, here's some water."
"Thank you."
"Do you have a question?" the young woman asked with concern.
Instead of answering, Louisa held up several financial statements. "May I take these with me?"
"Of course. Take whatever you need. We have backups on our computers. I'll just print another copy for our records."
Louisa thanked her again and left with the reports. She returned to Team Seven's office but couldn't find Neil.
She stopped a female colleague passing by and asked, "Where is Mr. Robinson? Where did he go?"
The woman looked Louisa up and down with a contemptuous tone: "How would I know where Mr. Robinson went? And why should I tell you? You're not even a permanent employee yet. It's not your place to inquire about the team leader's whereabouts."
