Mine to Protect Chapter 100: GOOD BOY

“Ok, I’ll call Lukas and tell him to back off, even if they depart now, when they get here, we’ll have already left.”

“No need to call, I can mind-link him now. Wait a sec. Ok, done, they are retreating this moment.”

Derek gives me a long look, and for a moment I think he is upset with me. What have I done now? After a moment, he shifts his attention back to Ryder and proclaims, “I am going to the pack house to deal with Alpha Rogers, I’ll take five warriors with me, while you start to evacuate everyone, take the prisoners and the people you’ve rescued to our pack, we will give them medical attention and help them reunite with their families once there.”

Then he turns towards me, a determined look on his face.

“I am not even going to try making you leave, because I know it is pointless, so let’s go, stay close to me, ok?”

“Mmhh, I am not sure I am ok with it. You, my friend, have been poisoned, and we don’t even know how deadly that poison is. Plus, don’t you know that the more you move the more it spreads? So, you are going to be a good Alpha, stay with our pack and let the doctor check you, while I’ll go settle the score with Alpha and Beta Pig.”

Then I add through the link, “Don’t make me command you, Derek, you are the most important person for me and the pack, we can’t have anything happen to you. I beg you, let the doctor check you. I just destroyed a building; I can definitely deal with those two. I will bring Alice and five warriors with me; they won’t let anything happen to me.”

Derek’s jaw is set tight, and I know he is not happy with this arrangement, but I can’t have him running around, risking his life when he is already so weak. Finding out what he’s been injected with, and the effects it could have on him in the long and short run, is the priority.

I cup his face with my hands, pleading with my eyes for him to understand.

He swallows hard, I know that I have hurt his pride, he is the Alpha, but his life is at stake here.

“Ok, I will let the doctor check me, but you are bringing ten warriors and Alice with you, and if the doctor gives me the good to go, I am coming to you right away.”

Ten warriors are not really necessary, but I decided to let him win this, he needs to exert his power, to feel in command, and I am ok with that.

“Yes, Alpha!” I reply nodding in agreement. Then I go up un my tiptoes and kiss him softly on his lips.

“And this is for being a good boy, and listening to your Luna,” I add through the link.

“I think my Luna owes me much more than a small kiss; I’ll make sure to collect my reward when we are back home,” he says with a cocky smirk on his face.

“I take it back, you are a naughty boy, very naughty!”

“A naughty boy, for a naughty girl!”

I kiss him again, this time with more passion.

“Now go get checked, naughty boy, you’ll need your strength to collect your reward.”

“Will do. Be careful naughty girl.”

Derek leaves towards the makeshift medical tent, turning a couple of times to glance back at me. I send him a flying kiss, and then turn to Alice and Ryder, who have already assembled the warriors to depart.

“Ok, people, let’s go get those little piggies. Ryder, please, lead the way.”

We all shift into our wolves and follow Ryder to the packhouse, where Woodrock’s Beta and Alpha are hiding. We stop in front of the house, not making any attempt to conceal ourselves; it is a statement, we are showing them that we are not afraid, that we have the upper hand.

I put a shield around us just in case they decide to shoot us or throw stuff at us, then I walk at the front of the group, letting them know who’s the leader here.

“Come out! Don’t be cowards!” I order through the link, without putting my power in it, and making sure of looping in everyone in the vicinity.

No one moves, not a sound can be heard.

Just what I thought, they feel all powerful and mighty when they pick on the weak, but when it comes to facing someone they can’t defeat, they cower like chickens.

“What? Are you afraid of the big bad wolf? I’ll count to three, and if you still don’t come out, then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!”

One.

Two.

Three!

Nothing.

They really give me no choice.

One hand near my mouth palm up, I blow in the direction of the house, like I am blowing a kiss, and the house catches fire. Now you have no choice but to come out, little piggies, right into the clutches of the bad white wolf.

As expected, around ten people ran out of the house, guns in hand, the guards placing themselves around the Alpha and Beta in a protective circle.

I have seen Cindy’s father before, overall, he is a handsome man, I can see where Cindy got her looks from, while Alpha Damien Rogers looks like a complete brute. Dark hair, a squared face, an unkempt thick black beard, small beady black eyes, and a gaze that chills. He is incredibly broad and tall, looks like a bear really.

“I am not here to hurt you, I just want those two awful beings, so stand aside, and let me bring them to justice,” I tell the guards, hoping they’ll listen, but of course they don’t, they never do.

“Move aside and stand down!” I Alpha-command them, and this time, they have no choice but comply with my order.

I take a step towards the men in the center, but Alice stops me, catching me by my arm.

“Luna, I don’t think you should confront them alone, it’s too risky,” she says through the link.

“Then come with me,” I tell her with a wink.

She smirks and comes to stand by my side, so we can confront them together.

“Stay back, you, filth!” Alpha Rogers bellows in my direction. “You and your kind disgust me, you should all die a horrible death!”

“Thank you, that’s very nice of you, although, I don’t think I am the filth here, you and your beta are. You have forced your pack members into prostitution for monetary gain, and have even turned your backs on your race, allowing those horrible experiments to happen on your territory. Your beta here, sold his own daughter to perverts just so that he could live a wealthy life!”

“Oh, don’t act all pure and noble, when we all know you are just a slut! I don’t understand how the Moon Goddess would bestow her blessing to the likes of you, she must have made a mistake,” Alpha Rogers continues, taking a step towards me, his anger raging around him like a cloud of red smoke.

Alice tenses beside me and shifts her stance into one of attack.

“Don’t worry, they don’t stand a chance against us, but I want them to suffer for what they have done; they will be an example for all the Alphas who think they can do whatever they want with the lives of their pack members, without facing the consequences,” I tell her through the link.

She nods, her gaze still trained on the two men before us.

“Kneel!” I Alpha-order them.

Cindy’s dad immediately gets on his knees, he hasn’t changed much since that day in that dark alley, only he’s not so sure of himself now, without his gang backing him up.
