Miracle Cutie Chapter 130: Taking the Electric Ride

"Grandpa no car!" Nina refused to sit, and she wouldn't let William sit either.

The two of them were stuck by the car when Amelia, who had come to check on Nina, saw William looking confused. She hurried over and lowered her voice, explaining the nightmare Nina had just had.

Hearing about the nightmare, William immediately understood.

"Amelia, I got it." William didn't insist on getting in the car.

He had someone bring over an electric scooter and an electric tricycle.

Seeing the two vehicles, Nina was even happier than when she saw the car.

"Nina sit! Nina sit!"

Nina loved riding the electric scooter the most!

Amelia had originally bought one for outings.

Nina stood in front of the scooter, and Amelia used her legs to block her, so Nina wouldn't fall and could feel the wind.

As for the electric tricycle, Amelia also wanted to buy it but hadn't gotten around to it yet.

William let Nina choose herself. "Nina, come on. Pick one. Which one do you want to ride?"

Nina had never ridden a tricycle, so without thinking, she chose the electric scooter.

She skillfully stepped into the front empty space of the scooter, both tiny hands holding onto the handlebars, then turned to shout at William, "Grandpa, go!"

She wanted the scooter to start moving.

William smiled and walked over, riding the scooter away.

Amelia watched them leave, standing there for a while.

William rode the scooter steadily, and Nina looked very safe.

With them gone, Amelia suddenly found herself with some free time.

Once she had free time, she thought of work.

She wanted to work, to earn money.

But that lousy company made even focusing on work and earning money difficult.

Just as she was feeling frustrated, the company's phone rang unexpectedly.

Amelia recognized the number—it had called before to yell at her.

She didn't want to answer, but the phone kept ringing incessantly.

So she decided to hear what nonsense they were trying to push this time.

Amelia, half expecting nonsense, picked up the phone.

But instead of nonsense, she heard begging.

"Amelia, everything in the past was my fault! The company and I treated you badly. I realize my mistakes now.

"Please, stop Benjamin.

"Whatever conditions you want, I will agree.

"How much do you want? Name your price.

"As long as you can make Benjamin let me go, I'll do anything!

"Amelia, please, forgive me."

The pleading voice on the other end stunned Amelia.

Just yesterday, she had been hurt. Today, those who had harmed her, the company included, were all getting their comeuppance.

And here they were, begging. After listening for a while, Amelia got tired of it.

"Stop talking. I won't forgive you," she said coldly.

She had been mistreated so much, and now Benjamin was getting her revenge. If she forgave them now, it would be a betrayal of Benjamin, and of herself.

Amelia was never a saint.

She had tolerated her previous job not because of her meek nature—it was life that left her no choice.

She needed to support Nina!

Now that the Graham family had taken over the responsibility of raising Nina, her financial pressure was no longer as urgent as before.

With her financial stress eased, her backbone returned naturally.

"You trash, go rot with that garbage company!"

Amelia dropped her final words and hung up.

After hanging up, she looked at her phone screen and fell into thought.

"Am I taking advantage of someone?"

Amelia knew very well that Benjamin, and previously Daniel, had helped her all because of Nina.

The Graham family was kind, but they wouldn't help just anyone out of sheer goodness.

She knew she was just riding on Nina's luck.

"Looks like this time, it's all thanks to Nina," Amelia murmured. She didn't feel insecure about benefiting from Nina; her mindset was still fine.

Amelia's muttering at the door happened to be heard entirely by Benjamin, who was planning to go out.

Not only did he hear it, but he also saw the sparkle in Amelia's eyes.

Many times, her expressions and tone of voice were very much like Nina's.

As Amelia was still mumbling, she turned and noticed Benjamin.

"Benjamin, are you heading out?" she said.

Benjamin nodded. "Yes, the company has some matters. I'll be back before eight."

Amelia immediately asked, "Are you taking a car?"

Benjamin picked up the implied meaning behind her question and replied, "The car I'll be using has already been checked."
