Tanner sent her a voice message, too.

After he did, Lucille replied with a blushing emoji.

She told him he had a really nice voice.

Once she heard his voice, Lucille acted way more enthusiastic toward him.

The two kept chatting, but the vibe felt totally different than before.

Lucille used to just ramble nonstop.

After hearing Tanner speak, she started wondering what he looked like.

Tanner saw exactly what she was thinking, but he didn't say anything.

He just watched her beat around the bush and found it amusing.

Lucille wanted to know what he looked like, but was too shy to ask directly.

After hinting over and over with no luck, she gave up and posted a photo of herself first.

She didn't send it straight to Tanner—she uploaded it to her profile instead.

The picture was taken in the snow. Lucille wore a plain black puffer jacket, a plaid scarf, and gloves while playing in the snow.

Her clothes and the scenery were nothing special, but her face stood out.

She had a cute face with big, bright eyes.

The photo unexpectedly went viral.

Nina had seen this picture before.

When her post blew up, Lucille messaged Tanner, "See? It's all about looks. I posted so many videos before, and nothing happened. One photo, and I'm popular."

Tanner went to look at her picture after she told him.

He was quiet for a long while, then typed, "You're really cute."

Lucille gained courage from his compliment and finally asked straight out to see his photo.

Tanner still didn't send her a picture—but he called her on video.

The video call was sudden. Lucille fumbled to answer.

When she saw Tanner's handsome face on the screen, she froze completely.

She stared for a few seconds, then hung up right away.

After ending the call, she spammed him with a string of messages.

She typed, "Why did you call out of nowhere? I didn't wash my hair!

"I'm still in my pajamas!

"I didn't put on makeup!

"How could you?

"Did I look ugly just now?"

Lucille panicked and rambled, but her last question was whether she'd looked bad.

Tanner replied, "Not at all. You're even cuter in person than in your photo."

After sending that, he typed, "Can I call you again now?"

Lucille typed, "Fine. You already saw me like this anyway."

They got on more and more video calls, and eventually, they started dating online.

Right then, Tanner was filming videos of Nina when his phone rang again—it was Lucille.

Before Tanner could answer, Nina got excited first. "My call!"

She tried to grab the phone to answer it.

Tanner froze and said, "It's my phone call."

He clearly didn't know how Nina operated.

Any phone that rang near her was automatically hers.

Fighting for the phone meant a battle.

Before Tanner could protest, Nina wrapped her arms around his arm.

In the next second, Nina successfully snatched the phone.

She held it and tapped the screen skillfully, answering the call.

It was a video call from Lucille.

On the screen, Lucille wore a red panda-themed hat.

She'd called Tanner to show him her new hat.

But instead of Tanner's face, she saw Nina's chubby cheeks filling the screen.

The two met for the first time. Lucille, who normally chattered nonstop, froze up for once.

Nina had no such problem.

She spotted the red panda hat right away and loved it.

Once Lucille got over her shock, she started talking to Nina.

Nina nodded and said, "Daddy buy."

She still hadn't forgotten about getting a red panda.

Lucille smiled, "If you like this hat, I can get you a tiny one. Want it?"

Nina replied at once, "Yeah."

She wasn't modest at all.

If someone offered her something, she took it—no polite hesitation whatsoever.

Lucille talked a lot, and Nina talked a lot, too. The two chatterboxes hit it off right away.

Lucille showed Nina lots of things: her hat, bags of local snacks, and the snow outside her window.

It was already snowing where she lived.

Nina was totally fascinated.

She stared at the screen wide-eyed, wishing she could climb right through it.

Tanner watched them chat, saw they weren't going to stop anytime soon, and stepped away to do his own thing.
