With Nelson acting as translator, the two girls had no trouble communicating.

They watched Anya blow bubbles for a while in the room, and Nina even reached out to touch the tiny cheek.

Once they got bored, the three kids went out to the yard to find something else to do.

The party had other children and plenty of adults.

In the past, Tina would have played with the others.

But now she had Nina, and she largely ignored the rest.

They were playing like this when, halfway through, Trevor arrived in Marisavia.

As soon as he got there, he took charge of the bodyguards Benjamin had detained.

He went to interrogate them.

As for Nelson, Trevor wasn't planning to pick him up just yet.

Nelson was fine; he could keep playing with Nina.

Then, during their play, Nina spotted Julie.

Julie was also a celebrity. While not as big a star as Elizabeth, she was still quite well-known.

She and Elizabeth were cousins.

So she had come to the party to celebrate Tina's achievement.

The moment Nina saw Julie, she ran right over without a second thought.

She butted her head against Julie.

"My Violet," Nina demanded, her voice fierce as she asked for Violet after the head-butt.

Seeing Nina here, a flicker of surprise crossed Julie's eyes.

She knew Violet was locked up this time because she'd been in contact with a child.

Those bodyguards had cameras that uploaded footage in real-time. Nina's face had already been recorded.

Julie had seen her face at Xavier's place.

Nina was still demanding Violet.

Julie glanced behind Nina. People were watching from not too far away.

Elizabeth was very protective of children.

She took safety seriously. For an event like today, she had many bodyguards keeping an eye on the kids.

Fortunately, Julie, as a cousin, knew Elizabeth's house intimately.

She was also familiar with all of Elizabeth's security arrangements.

"You're an adorable little girl. You can have whatever you want," Julie said, bending down with a smile. She understood Nina's language perfectly well.

Tina was still quite close to Julie.

She smiled and gave her a hug.

With the kids running around playing together and dedicated staff watching them, Amelia and Benjamin didn't feel the need to stick to them every second.

They went to meet Elizabeth's mother.

Elizabeth's mother wasn't particularly warm when she saw Benjamin.

She didn't seem to like him much.

Benjamin was used to it.

His own mother had died young. After her death, her friends and even her side of the family felt William hadn't taken good enough care of her.

Benjamin had little contact with his maternal relatives. As he grew older, the distance between them only widened.

His aunt, his mother's older sister, held even less fondness for him and his siblings.

His maternal family was likely aware of his visit to Marisavia.

But they hadn't reached out.

Benjamin hadn't gone to visit them either.

While the adults socialized, Julie took over with the children.

Her attitude was excellent.

Nina wanted Violet, and Julie promised she would give her back.

Tina wanted a little red pony, and Julie agreed without hesitation.

So Tina was thrilled.

Nina, who had been full of hostility, stopped head-butting now that Julie seemed willing to return Violet.

"Come here, darlings. I'll grant all your wishes," Julie said, playing with the kids.

The bodyguards Elizabeth had assigned knew Julie. They recognized her as family, so they didn't see her as a threat.

And so, right under the bodyguards' watchful eyes, Julie started a game of hide-and-seek with the children.

Whoever won would get the promised reward first.

If Nina won, Julie would take her to find Violet.

Nina was very interested in games, and so was Nelson.

He had just figured out that the "Violet" Nina wanted was his mother.

Nelson didn't know Julie. He didn't understand why Nina was asking Julie for Violet.

But Nina probably wasn't wrong.

Seeing Nina already diving into the game, Nelson's little face grew serious. He was determined to help her win.

If Nina won, maybe they would really find his mother.

Soon, the game began.

Nina had played this before. She happily ran off to hide.

Nelson hurried after her. "Nina, wait for me," he called.

The two of them hid together.

Julie let them hide. She stepped aside to make a call to Xavier.

"That child... she's not right," Julie said quietly into the phone. "She saw me and immediately demanded Violet. How does she know Violet is with me?"

After hearing her suspicion, Xavier's voice turned grim. "You've been exposed. Bring that child back. Now."
