Martin rejected coldly. "Mr. Graham is taking care of Nina right now and has no time to take calls. You may contact him later."

Back home, Nina was being carried out of the car. She hadn't fully woken up yet. She cracked her eyes open drowsily, then let them drift shut again.

A few seconds later, she opened them properly and realized they were home.

"Mommy... Mommy!"

Nina refused to sleep, pouting as she searched for her mother.

Benjamin knew exactly what was coming. She was going to tattle.

Sure enough, before she even saw Amelia, Nina was already complaining to the two passing maids.

"Nina go hospital... Eyes hurt. Hit me!"

Her story came out in a jumbled mess.

The Graham family had two dogs, and neither of them was brave around Nina.

"Daddy... play together!"

"It doesn't want to play with you," Benjamin replied.

They were still talking when Amelia heard the noise and hurried over.

"Nina! You're back?" she said.

Amelia came with a warm smile, but the moment she saw Nina's puffy, red eyes, the smile vanished.

"What happened to Nina's eyes?" She reached out and took Nina into her arms.

She still had a healing neck and shouldn't lift heavy things, but she didn't care.

The second Nina was in Amelia's arms, Amelia didn't even need to prompt her—Nina's little mouth crumpled, and she started her complaint all over again.

This time, she added the dog.
