Miracle Cutie Chapter 24: Digital Hate

Daniel sent a photo over.

Daniel replied, "She finished 'unpacking' them."

Lucas typed, "That's... quite thoroughly unpacked!"

"No matter, I'll buy more! I'm almost done with the stuff on my plate."

"Wait for me to come see Nina in person."

While the two men chatted on WhatsApp, Nina and Nelson were also huddled together, whispering secrets. As she whispered, Nina used her chubby little hands to check Nelson for any new injuries.

"Nelson, hurt?"

"No hurts. He hasn't hit me these past two days." Nelson proactively lifted his shirt to show her.

After inspecting him, Nina felt a little reassured. She tilted her chubby face up, thought for a moment, then said in her soft, milky voice, "Nelson, come Nina home! Nina home, this big!"

Nina spread her little arms wide, trying to show Daniel just how big her home was!

She and her mom used to live in single rooms or one-bedroom apartments. But now, her new home was so big that even the bathroom was larger than her previous entire living space! Nina found it all incredibly novel.

Hearing her invitation, a wave of warmth spread through Nelson's heart. He lowered his head and said softly, "Nina, thank you."

Before Nina appeared, Nelson hadn't had a single playmate. And after Nina came into his life, he didn't need any other playmates. Having Nina was enough.

The two little ones played very well together. When evening came and it was time to part, Daniel, now experienced and skilled, coaxed the reluctant Nina as usual, "Be good, sweetheart. Let's go home for dinner first. We can come back to play tomorrow!"

Daniel managed to coax Nina home. Amelia, who had been filming, hadn't returned yet. Her delay wasn't due to work.

She had just stepped out of the second-floor changing room when Zoe cornered her at the stairwell.

Zoe stared directly at Amelia, her eyes filled with undisguised loathing.

"Amelia, your skills at seducing people are truly impressive.

"No wonder Daniel's attitude towards me changed so suddenly!

"So it's because of you.

"He targeted Mabel for you, and unfollowed me for you! Amelia, do you just love stealing what belongs to others that much?"

Zoe's composure had been severely cracked by Daniel's actions today. However, that crack only lasted a moment. In her heart, she still firmly believed that Daniel loved her the most!

"Amelia, tell me, if Daniel found out you hurt me...

"Would he choose me, or you?"

Before her question even fully landed, the next second, Zoe swayed dramatically in front of Amelia and threw herself backward down the stairs.

She tumbled down seven or eight wooden steps, hitting her forehead hard enough to start bleeding immediately.

"Amelia, why did you push me?" With blood streaming down her face, Zoe managed to utter this accusation before closing her eyes and "fainting."

Zoe's bloody "fainting" spell, unsurprisingly, alarmed everyone. Even the director, known for his terrible temper, strode over with a deep frown.

"What happened? What's going on?!"

"Mr. Jones, I just heard Zoe say, right before she fainted, that Amelia pushed her." A junior crew member hesitantly spoke up after the director's question.

As soon as he finished, Zoe's assistant and manager, who had also just arrived by her side, immediately darkened their expressions.

"Mr. Jones! Zoe is the female lead of your series! For her to be harmed like this in your production—don't you think that's outrageous?!

"We will not let this matter rest!

"I'm taking Zoe to the hospital now. How you handle the aftermath, Mr. Jones, is up to you!"

After the manager finished speaking, she had a burly male assistant carry Zoe away.

There were fans visiting the set. Zoe was currently on the rise, and she had a lot of fans! Some of them were still lingering outside the set!

When the fans saw Zoe being carried out, bloody and unconscious, they felt like their world was collapsing!

"Zoe! What happened to Zoe?! Why is she bleeding?!"

"Zoe, say something!"

The fans were frantic, recording Zoe with their phones while pressing the manager for answers.

The manager wore a cold, angry expression. She spoke to the fans in a stiff, harsh tone, "Zoe was pushed down the stairs. That's how she got hurt.

"We will pursue this matter to the fullest extent!"

Although the manager promised to investigate, the fans stubbornly demanded the culprit's name right then and there.

The manager was a seasoned operator. She didn't directly name Amelia. She only insinuated, hinting that it was a certain beautiful actress in the crew who had targeted Zoe due to personal issues.

Her hints were so pointed she might as well have hung a sign with Amelia's name on it!

The fans weren't stupid; they immediately guessed it was Amelia.

And with that, the fans erupted.
