He Chose the So-Called Sister Chapter 22: Vomit and Revenge
Wendy had zero work experience and worse grades than Sherry. Her diploma might as well have been fake.
But Gilbert liked her. That was all that mattered.
He gave her an important job like it was nothing.
And Sherry?
They put her at the very bottom—barely above the cleaners.
Sherry must have been fuming when she knew this. Wendy had to hit right where it hurt!
She wanted Sherry to see exactly how different their positions were!
The next second—
"Ugh!"
Wendy had paid a lot for her custom designer outfit.
She wanted to impress everyone today and make Sherry feel terrible.
Then Sherry threw up all over her.
"Ahhh!" Wendy screamed and ran to the bathroom.
After vomiting, Sherry felt much better. "That helped."
Others couldn't hold back their laughter.
Wendy's face turned as dark as burnt toast as she ran into Gilbert's office crying.
"Gilbert, look what Sherry did! She threw up on me on purpose and made everyone laugh at me. I'm so embarrassed!"
Gilbert was first shocked, and then asked with concern, "What's wrong with Sherry? Why did she throw up?"
Hearing this, Wendy's face turned green.
"Gilbert, I'm the one who got hurt! Why don't you care about me? That woman is fine. She did it on purpose! She's jealous because I get to work close to you!"
At this, Gilbert actually looked relieved.
So Sherry still cared about him.
"Scott, take Wendy to change her clothes."
That was it? Just like that?
"Gilbert, aren't you going to stand up for me?"
Gilbert seemed in a good mood. "First, she's my wife. Second, it wasn't intentional. Scott, hurry up and help Wendy change."
Wendy felt like crying from the unfairness. She wanted to say more, but Scott quickly led her out.
Wendy had never been so humiliated.
No way. She would get her revenge. She'd make sure everyone in the company respected her.
The very next day...
Sherry walked to the cafeteria with coworkers, laughing and talking. They were late, so only a few food options remained.
Sherry took her favorite dishes and was about to sit down.
Wendy grabbed someone's leftover food and poured it all over Sherry.
"Oops, my hand slipped!"
Wendy watched Sherry standing there covered in greasy leftovers and felt satisfied.
"You know, this soup actually matches your outfit—white clothes with yellow stains!" Wendy pinched her nose. "Did you... just poop? Why does it smell so bad?
"First throwing up, now this? Been with too many men? Things falling apart already? No wonder you threw up yesterday.
"So young and already so wild? You must have caught something. I'm basically doing everyone a favor here."
People gathered around, but no one dared to speak up for Sherry.
Many women had been bullied out this way. Sherry wouldn't be the last. Just unlucky.
But when Wendy mentioned "caught something", everyone stepped back quickly.
Sherry's position was low, and she had no experience, yet she got into a big company. Who knew how she managed it?
Just as people were wondering how to clean the area—
Sherry, covered in greasy, smelly soup, grabbed Wendy's neck and pushed her face into the curry chicken.
Now that was real yellow.
"You're the one who's been with too many men, so you think all women are like you. A homewrecker acting so high and mighty—how did your parents raise someone like you?
"Oh wait—this doesn't seem like something a person with parents would do..."
"Stop!" A loud shout cut through the cafeteria as Gilbert rushed in.
Before Sherry could react, he had pushed her to the floor. "How dare you talk about Wendy's family? Do you have a death wish?"
For a moment, murder flashed in his eyes.
Even after he realized it was Sherry.
His cold stare moved over her neck like a sharp blade ready to cut.
Sherry's fingers trembled. "She started it!"
"Even so, you don't get to talk about Wendy's family. You don't." Gilbert stared hard at her. "Apologize to Wendy."
Wendy was shaking with pure hatred. Sherry dared to touch her, dared to make her look so pathetic. "I want you to lick my shoes clean!"
Sticky, dirty things clung to her shoes, mixed with mud from the rain.
Lick her shoes?
"Sherry, if you don't take back your words, you'll do exactly what Wendy wants."
Gilbert had never thought Sherry could be this unruly. Talking about Wendy's family like that—so rude and mean.
