Bryan smiled at the message. People really were different from one another. He liked smart girls like this.

He hated fools like Sherry.

"Bryan, who texted you?"

"Ms. Julia Mack helped us handle everything online. She made sure Gilbert won't get involved."

Perfect. Sherry's reputation would be completely ruined.

Teresa barely had time to feel happy, then she heard Bryan praise Julia.

"Even someone as powerful as Gilbert is wrapped around her finger. He does whatever she says. She's no ordinary woman."

Teresa rolled her eyes hard. "Please. Julia only gets by because she's Gilbert's first love. She's just draining whatever little affection he still has for her."

Bryan rarely showed this much interest in another woman. "It's still a skill. From what I've seen, she's sharp and easy to work with."

Teresa's face twisted with jealousy. She'd stepped all over Sherry, but it was Julia she truly envied.

It was one thing when others admired Julia, but her own brother was singing her praises. She refused to let Julia extend her influence into the Campbell family.

As a woman, she could tell exactly what kind of person Julia was—someone who lured men in and made them orbit her.

If the men in her own family stopped listening to her because of Julia, that was something she absolutely could not accept. At least not now.

She wouldn't let anyone claim what was hers.

And she would not let another woman outshine her in anyone's eyes.

"It's not like we can compete anyway," Teresa said, her tone thick with envy. "But one thing matters most—I'd never chase after a man who's already married."

Bryan's expression shifted immediately at her words.

"That's why you're the best, Teresa." He ruffled her hair.

"By the way, you hold all the Campbell family shares now. What are you planning to do with them? They still have plenty of value left..."

It couldn't go bankrupt that quickly, not even with all the attacks.

Wouldn't it be better to sell them for cash and invest in their new venture? Why give everything to Teresa?

He didn't doubt her. He just didn't want the shares to become worthless if the family collapsed entirely.

"Bryan, these shares belong to the Campbell family. Even if they're worth nothing now, they're still part of us. I'm keeping them for when we need them later."

Bryan felt deeply moved. "I made the right choice. A sister like you is a blessing to this family."

After all, everyone thought Sherry was locked away in the psychiatric facility. Gilbert was out of town, so no one else could help her.

"What will you do while you can't appear in public? Since you can't be seen, should I take you on a trip?

Sherry almost said they were both too busy for international trips, swamped with work as they were.
