Wendy, a far cry from her usual self, clung to Gilbert like a slippery, boneless fish, trying to arouse his desire.

If she could get pregnant, her position would be completely secure.

She didn't want to be Gilbert's sister. She only wanted to be his wife.

"Wendy, I told you not to talk nonsense without evidence. One hundred million dollars? I've never received a text message about 100 million dollars being deducted!"

Wendy's mind suddenly went blank. "Impossible. If you didn't pay for her, how did she buy that dress?"

Gilbert had never looked at her with such a sharp and cold gaze. It was all Sherry's fault!

Wendy suddenly remembered something. "I just saw her being carried out by a man. I bet that man paid for her $100 million. If you don't believe me, you can ask anyone who was there."

Then she muttered to herself, "What kind of relationship could make a man afford to pay her such a huge sum? Even though you gave me the card, I've never dared to spend that much money. They must be very close."

Before she could finish speaking, Gilbert slammed his hand on the table, leaving a huge crack.

Wendy's heart nearly jumped out of her chest.

Gilbert left without waiting for the party to end.

Wendy wasn't angry. Judging from his furious expression, he was probably off to settle scores with Sherry.

Anyway, the matter was settled.

In Seaseat City, the Mack family had secured a place. As her family expanded, everyone would say she and Gilbert were a perfect match!

Now she knew that if their status and position didn't match, she would end up like Sherry, abandoned.

Gilbert sent all his men to find Sherry. He saw a man hug her on the security footage.

Sherry disliked other men getting close, yet she didn't push him away, meaning she and that man were very familiar!

Gilbert punched the computer, shattering it!

He was incredibly sullen, as if betrayed!

Blood streamed down his fist. How could Sherry do this to him?

He called Sherry again, but no one answered.

"Find Sherry no matter what!"

Keith, because of his carefree personality, was transferred to a department handling miscellaneous tasks. "Mr. Bode, I didn't find Mrs. Bode, but I found something else."

He spread out some jewelry, saying, "I heard this all belongs to Mrs. Bode. I think she sold these things to run away. It's not much, but it looks quite valuable. Mr. Bode, did you drive her away?"

Scott glared fiercely at Keith.

Keith, completely oblivious, continued, "Are your eyes twitching? Why are you winking? You don't like me, do you? I'm straight!"

Keith crossed his arms defensively.

Gilbert was furious. He was straight too!

Scott quickly sensed something was wrong. The air seemed to have dropped several degrees.

Gilbert's hands, holding those things, were almost deformed, his face incredibly grim.

He looked like a raging lion, as if he was about to kill someone at any moment.

Scott had never seen him so angry in all his years of working. Gilbert must be furious beyond belief.

Scott's legs trembled with fear. He couldn't imagine what Gilbert might do in his rage.

These things seemed incredibly important to Gilbert.

Keith, however, seemed oblivious to Gilbert's fury. "We've already searched the city thoroughly. We're certain she's not here. But we can't guarantee she's not somewhere else. I don't think you need to look for her anymore. She's not that important to you anyway."

With a bang, the jade ring nearly shattered.

"Who says Sherry isn't important to me?"

Sherry? Keith remembered a colleague named Sherry who had beaten up Gilbert.

He was quite happy at the time that Sherry had stood up for Mrs. Bode. He utterly resented Wendy's behaviour at the company.

"It's not just me saying that. Everyone says you've spent a fortune building a business empire for a homewrecker."
