He Chose the So-Called Sister Chapter 326: A Fake Savior Shows Up
The voice messages were only the start.
He didn't just curse her parents—he tore into every last member of her family.
Jade, who'd acted so high and mighty in front of Sherry, begged over the phone desperately.
"Babe, don't go yet! Listen to me—this isn't our fault! It's Sherry!"
She glared daggers at Sherry.
"We got fired because this bitch is sabotaging us behind my back... If you're mad, come over and hit her as hard as you want!"
"Are you fucking kidding me? You think I'm blind? They trusted you to represent their brand, and you posted their rival's stuff online, promoting their competition! How did I end up with someone this stupid!"
The man on the other end was absolutely furious.
Jade had never been spoken to like this. Tears poured down her face.
"You said you'd always have my back, no matter what I did..."
"Have your back? For this dumb move? Don't you dare show your face near me again, or I'll knock some sense into you!"
Sobbing didn't help at all. The proud celebrity had broken down into a crying mess.
She wailed, full-on meltdown.
Watching their so-called backer fall apart, the others froze. Their arrogance was gone completely.
They could only stare as she cried.
Then a familiar figure walked over, with a familiar voice.
Julia had appeared out of nowhere. She gently helped Jade up.
Jade had lost all strength and composure.
"I'm ruined. I'm completely done. I'll never be a star again."
She didn't care about her image at all, snot and tears all over her face.
"Picking on a girl like this—Sherry, you just keep getting worse. You enjoy watching people suffer, don't you?
"You can treat me that way if you want—I let it slide for Gilbert's sake. But not everyone will put up with you. You owe her an apology."
She stepped forward, acting like some kind of hero.
Apologize?
Sherry looked at Jade. "I liked you better when you were acting tough."
Jade's heart sank even deeper. If she backed down now, she was really finished.
She couldn't act proud anymore.
Julia wiped Jade's tears and glanced toward the set. "This is the S Brand commercial shoot, right?"
She paused, then seemed to piece it together. "You're the one who caused this whole mess, aren't you?"
So even people outside already knew. Everyone would call her an idiot.
"Why are you being so hard on me? I'm just simple-minded. I only really liked the A Brand clothes. Was that so wrong? I didn't mean any harm!"
Jade still spoke like she was in the right.
But Julia ignored that and turned to Sherry.
"The fact that the staff are still here means the company was planning to save Jade. Can you really take responsibility for this decision?
"If I remember correctly, your company doesn't have anyone else who fits S Brand's image right now.
"What's your plan? Or do you just not care about the company at all? Because they said a couple of things about you—that's more important than the company's interests?"
It was clear Julia had been watching the whole time, only stepping in at the perfect moment.
"Of course you can get away with it. You're close with people on the inside, after all."
Julia didn't say who, but her eyes flicked toward Max.
Jade caught on, her sadness turning to rage.
"So you're just here to ruin me! You're disgusting! No wonder Mr. Harrison kicked you out—you're just a slut who chases every guy you see!"
She hid behind Julia, like she'd found a new protector.
Max shook his head. Jade really was digging her own grave.
"Finally showing up after watching the whole show? Nice of you, Miss Fake Nice. She thinks you're her savior?"
Jade huffed, "At least she's talking sense. I don't even want this endorsement anymore! Let's see how you fix this!
"All these employees are here—what are you gonna do? You can't afford to make S Brand angry, Sherry!"
She wiped away her tears.
She'd almost fallen for Sherry's tricks. Now Sherry was the one who didn't know what to do.
Julia had given her an opening. In the end, Sherry would still have to apologize. Then she might consider doing the shoot.
They'd end up begging her.
Julia gave Jade an approving look.
No wonder most of the higher-ups voted to drop Jade. With that brain, she'd burn the company sooner or later.
"Then you, an outsider, don't need to worry so much."
