Two weeks have passed, and we are back home in our bedroom just relaxing. Tomorrow we’ve decided to go back to work though that pertains more to Alex than to me. I’ve been working from our bedroom while making sure he has been following the doctors’ discharge orders. Things were a bit rocky when we first came home, but they are getting better as the days go by. The staff were all afraid of him at first, but I reassured them that he was the good Alex and not the evil one. It took them some time, but they eventually came around. Our families have been tense whenever we were all around each other and Tabitha has been keeping to herself these days, or so I’ve heard since I haven’t talked to her.

Everyday consists of us waking up and having breakfast before I start my paperwork but today, I’m allowing him to do some work as well. Allowing him to work is so much better than arguing and feeling him glare at me all day. He’s busy signing documents for compensation and rebuilding projects. I started them but not being the official Queen and Luna, I couldn’t approve the requests and work orders. Since he has been back home there have been no more fights for fear of upsetting Alex, but I can still feel that there is tension between certain members of the family, and it gets worse every day. My father and his are not on the best of terms right now.

“So, what are we going to do about our fathers? They haven’t really spoken since that day in the hospital, and I’ve had enough of their childish behavior. Instead of praying that you’d wake up, they were too busy fighting over whether or not I should just have my coronation ceremony with or without you. This whole thing is ridiculous. I mean you’re better and they still aren’t speaking to one another.”

“You’re right, but in their defense, they were only thinking of the kingdom and who should take over. My father knows that I would have wanted to be there for your coronation, and your father thought that the coronation should happen without me since there needs to be someone in charge. Neither were wrong, but we do need to address this before it gets even further out of control.”

“My father has gone back to his pack and my mother says he has been in a foul mood. All he does is walk around mumbling and cursing. I bet he looks like some kind of cartoon character especially when he starts speaking Spanish.” I can’t help but laugh a little at how childish my father is being about the situation. Alex starts to laugh too, and I glare at him. I can laugh at my father but he can’t, but before I can tell him so, he lifts his hand to stop me before he speaks.

“I’m not laughing at your father. I’m laughing at the fact that they are mad at each other for their difference of opinion but acting the same. My mother says that my father is acting the same way, only he locks himself in his office all day.”

“Two grumpy and stubborn old men.” I giggle and shake my head.

“Yeah, but they love their kids. Anyway, we need to discuss your coronation. When do you want to have it done?”

“I’ve been so busy making sure other things are done and worrying about you that I didn’t think about the coronation and mating ceremony. We should have it as soon as possible. I think it will help ease everyone’s fears and help them have a sense of stability again.”

“I think you may be right about that, but I only want to do it if you are ready to and not to ease the minds of everyone else. They will come around at some point.”

“You mean the same way you’re coming around?” I asked him.

“What do you mean? I’m adjusting just fine.” He had a confused look on his face.

“Baby, when you’re awake you’re adjusting well, but when you’re asleep that’s another story. I’ve woken up to you screaming my name and yelling for someone to stop doing something. Sometimes you settle on your own and other times I have to rub your chest to calm you down.”

“I can’t remember having any nightmares. I’m so sorry for waking you.”

“Baby don’t be sorry about that because it doesn’t bother me but what does bother me is that you’re having nightmares and can’t remember them.”

“I’m sure it is just my subconscious processing everything. What I went through being trapped inside myself was the weirdest and scariest experience of my life and you know I’ve lived a long time. With time I believe that I’ll get better, and I’ll talk to the doctor about counseling as well.”

“Counseling may be a good idea for me as well. We all could probably do with some counseling.”

A few more weeks pass and soon we are decorating for my coronation ceremony. The last time we did this I was kidnapped and almost raped. “I really hope nothing happens this time and everything goes smoothly.” I say to myself as I point out where the flowers should go and the place settings for the tables. Renee and Shayla are helping me today and have been all week. Shaniece will be here tomorrow to help me get ready along with the rest of my family. Alex and I had to have a meeting with guards to talk to our dads and get them to stop this foolishness. By the end of the meeting that had shaken hands and were even laughing and joking with each other. Nicholas had his Alpha ceremony two weeks ago and we got the all clear from the doctor, so Alex was able to go as well. I’m glad because I would have hated to miss my brother’s ceremony, but there is no way that I would have left my mate here alone while I went no matter how much he would have protested.

“Freya!” I hear Renee scream my name and I turn my attention back to her.

“Yeah?”

“Where were you just now? I’ve been calling your name for a while now.”

“I’m sorry. I spaced out, I guess. What’s up?”

“Well get your head back here because this is your coronation and mating ceremony. I was asking if you have all three of your dresses?”

“Three dresses? I only need two. One for the coronation and one for the mating ceremony and I have both of them already. I wish I could resurrect Tobias and kill him again every time I think about my first coronation dress being ruined thanks to him and those idiots for kidnapping me.” After I say my statement, I automatically wish I hadn’t said anything. I looked at Shayla and she had a sad look on her face and lowered her head. “Oh, Shayla I’m so sorry. I know it wasn’t your fault. Honestly, I don’t blame you or the others for kidnapping me. I’m angry because had he not done any of that then you wouldn’t have been involved and might have even found David sooner, and nothing that happened after would have happened either I bet. He got the ball rolling to make Bellevue think that he could pull off what he attempted.”

“I know, but it still hurts knowing I could have been the cause of you losing your mate and him losing you. What if you hadn’t woken up when you did? Tobias and his men definitely would have raped and beaten you Freya. If I had known, they would do that to me...” she trailed off and I immediately pulled her in for a hug.

“I’m so sorry that you had to endure that kind of pain.” I said while rubbing her back as I continued to hug her.

“I tried to get away, but they caught me. I’ve never been so scared. At first, I thought they were going to throw me in the dungeons with my siblings and that would have been fine, and then I thought they were going to kill me, and even that would have been better than what happened to me.”

“Well, all of that is behind you now. You’re fine now and you have your mate. You’ve even found out that you’re a guardian witch, which is a bit exciting.” I smiled at her after letting her go.

“The witch part is a bit exciting, but the way I found out about myself is not. My own mother would rather be dead than with me. I’d rather have my mother than be a witch.” she said and turned to walk away and ran right into Tabitha.

“How can you say that? Being a witch is a wonderful thing.” says Tabitha.

“Because it is the truth. You rather be dead than be with me and your mate and teach me how to use my powers. If my father was as selfish as you are then I’m glad, I’ll never get to meet him.” She starts to cry and takes off running out of the hall.

“Tabitha, you need to fix this with her if you’re going to stay, but if you still want to kill yourself or however you plan on dying, then you need to leave now. You’ve hurt her and Dylan enough.” I say and turn to walk away as well with Renee following me.
