The Lycan King and His Mysterious Luna Chapter 78

We pack up all the leftover supplies and have them stored in the storage buildings we’ve put up as we have deliveries coming in almost daily to take care of all the new people we have to house. Once that is done, she heads to talk to Ethan while I go to my room and relax in the sitting room. Alex is busy and I do not want to disturb him. He has been pouring every moment he can into finding Bellevue and Tabitha before his dream or whatever it is can manifest. The last thing we need is to have Alex helping the enemy because then they will be unstoppable. It will take nothing short of the Goddess herself o stop them if that dream came true.

I sat on the sofa reading a book and I must have dozed off because I feel strong, warm arms lifting me off of the sofa and placing me on another soft surface that I know is the bed. His scent envelopes my nose and when he tries to pull away from me, I snuggle deeper into his chest holding him against me. He chuckles and climbs into the bed behind me and pulls me onto his chest. I moan softly and run one hand through his hair without opening my eyes. This is how I usually sleep with him at night. Gently stroking his hair as he rubs my back is our nightly routine until we both fall asleep.

“You smell good.” I mumble into his chest as I slowly start to fall asleep again. He chuckles again.

“So do you, my Queen. Get some sleep before your girls’ night.” My eyes pop open at the mention of the girls’ night and I sit up.

“How do you know about that? I didn’t mention it to you.”

“ Ethan is my Gamma and mated to your friend remember? He told me about their plans when he came to my office. He thought I knew already and was talking about how he didn’t think he could be away from his mate all night. I asked where she was going and he told me about the plans you ladies have tonight. I’m okay with the idea and think it is a good one. You ladies can use a night to relax.”

“Renee isn’t used to all the blood and death. My father made sure my brother and I were familiar with it so that we’d see the sacrifices these warriors made to keep us safe. He wanted us to not take anything for granted. That’s why he and my mother made us do chores within the pack. We worked alongside the Omega wolves cooking, cleaning, and anything else that needed to be done.”

“I believe that is a good idea your father had. That way you don’t grow up feeling entitled. You have no idea how many packs I have visited in all the years I’ve been alive, and the children of the Alpha and Luna of those packs are the worst. They treat anyone beneath Gamma rank like dirt. They are nothing but spoiled brats. I’d love to strip them all of their titles, but I can’t do that just because they are entitled pricks.”

“My father told me about some of the packs that he would visit and told us that is why he treats us the way that he does. My brother and I used to think we were being punished as children, but as we got older and understood why they were making us do chores it all made sense. I’m glad they made us help out so that we don’t become like those other spoiled brats. I met an Alpha’s son once and it didn’t end well. He was from the Red River pack and thought he was the sexiest thing ever made. Other girls in the pack fawned all over him just hoping he was their mate, but I ignored him. My father told me to show him around, but I didn’t want to and asked why my brother couldn’t do show him around. He said my brother couldn’t because he needed him to go with him and the other Alpha. I argued that he should be going with them too since he was the future Alpha.”

“So what happened?” he asked me. He was looking at me with amusement and curiosity so I told him the rest.

“Well, as you know, my father wasn’t having it and gave me a look that said I need to obey him. My father is Italian so there was no point arguing with him and we never wanted to anger him.” We both laughed. “I showed my neck in submission and looked at the boy before telling him to follow me. We toured the entire grounds, and my father still wasn’t done, so I took him to the theater room and told him that he could pick the movie since he was our guest. The entire time I was showing him around he had been saying flirtatious things, but I ignored him. I found out later that they made me show him around to see if we were mates. He was already 19 and I was 14 at the time. Anyway of course you know that we were not mates, so did he but he kept flirting anyway. While we were in the theater sitting down watching the movie, I suddenly felt a hand on my thigh and thought nothing of it until he started moving it up. Since I had on a dress that day due to visitors, I could feel his hand gripping and caressing my skin. Instantly I was pissed that he thought he could try that with me. I jumped up and so did he but before I could slap him, he grabbed me and tried to kiss me. Taking my left knee, I reared back and kneed him right between the legs.” Alex looked at me with shock for a minute before he let out the loudest laugh.

“What happened next?” he said between laughter.

“He doubled over in pain and I turned and ran out of the theater. Eventually he followed me out and we made it to the front of the pack house when he finally caught up to me and grabbed me by my hair which was up in a high ponytail that day, and pulled me towards him. He called me a bunch of names and I dropped to the ground which startled him and loosened his grip and I quickly spun around and stood up. On my way up I pulled my right arm back and hit him with an uppercut to the jaw and swept his legs out from under him. My father, brother, and his father showed up after someone informed them of what was going on and my brother held me back away from him. I told them everything that happened and the boy tried to say that I thought I was too good for anyone. I said I didn’t think tha way at all, but I do know that I’m too good to be treated like a whore. It took everything in my brother not to rip that guys’ head off when he knew what the guy had tried to do to me.”

“That’s my Luna Queen. He deserved everything he got. He’s lucky I don’t kill him for trying that with you.” His face showed no emotion, but I could feel his anger through the bond. I didn’t think he was angry since he had been laughing earlier.
