The Lycan King and His Mysterious Luna Chapter 53

**When the car sped past me minutes later, I let out breath I didn’t know I was holding and slowed down my speed. My thoughts were on getting to Alex somehow and getting out of whatever territory I am currently in, though it feels as though I never left the kingdom. Could my attackers be that stupid to not take me far away from the kingdom? I shake my head. Nah they can’t be that stupid. I start to feel a gentle push on my mind and open the link for whoever is trying to get through. The connection is full of static. Think of when you use a walkie talkie, and you can hear the person but not really make out what they are saying. Guess the drugs aren't completely out of my system yet. The link isn’t Alex though and feels more like it is my brother. “Nate, if you can hear me, please tell Alex to find me. I don’t know where I am but I escaped. I’ve been running for a while now trying to find a town or somewhere that I can contact you guys. I’ve been drugged and my connection to mind-link isn’t the best.” All I can do is hope the message goes through. If even part of it went through, I’m still in pretty good shape. While I was mind-linking and thinking, I stopped running. Looking around, I tried to judge whether to keep running and look for a town or stay put and hide in the trees until Alex or my family found me. This was a mistake that I would regret later because I felt something prick my arm and looked down to see two darts not unlike the one that struck me in the castle, sticking out of my left arm. Quickly I pulled them out hoping the poison didn’t have enough time to work its way in yet. Calling on my wolf and Lycan, I gather all the strength that I can before they finally reach me. I’m not going back there without a fight, and I’ll be damned if I let that leader put his hands or any of his body parts on me. My link pushes open, and I breathe a sigh of relief. Finally, my Alex. “Alex. Hurry. I don’t know how long I am going to last. They hit me with two darts this time and now I’m about to take on what appears to be five wolves, but I think at least three are Lycans.”

“Freya, thank the goddess. I’m coming. Keep the link open and I can find you faster. If the link closes that is okay as long as you stay awake. My Lycan and wolf are both helping me find you faster through our bond. Hang on!”

We stop talking so I can focus on the two wolves that are trying to circle me and the three whose asses I kicked earlier. They look like hell, and I smirk at them as they come closer. I look at the one on the right of the leader. I have no idea how he is walking because I know that I broke his knee. “How’s the knee?” I ask in a mocking concerned voice.

“Fuck you!” I put a hand up to my chest in mock surprise.

“Now is that any way to speak to a lady? I was genuinely asking how your knee is doing?” He snarls at me and I back up a step pretending to be scared. All the while, I have been keeping my eyes on the two wolves that have made their way behind me. An outsider would think they are flanking me in a good way, but I can tell they plan to rush me from behind at the same time while the Lycans have me “distracted” hoping that the poison starts to work. Good try guys.

“You will pay for what you did earlier and especially for trying to escape. I told you that I have plans for you and you tried to ruin my fun. Now what kind of lady does that?” The leader says. I roll my eyes.

“Your plans involve raping and beating me, so why would I want to stay? Oh, and how could I miss the best part, the killing me. I have my own plans and they involve me living and making love to my mate among other things. You’re not my type.” He is stalling and so am I. The only problem is that I don’t know why he is stalling. He keeps talking and I drown him out so that I can listen for Alex and also to whether or not this idiot has more people coming or hiding somewhere.

“Alex be careful. I feel as though he is stalling but I don’t know why. There may be others hiding in the forest surrounding us or he may have people ready to storm the kingdom knowing that you are away.”

“I have the kingdom covered so lets just worry about getting you away from them and back home safely. I’m almost to you. Keep him distracted as long as you can. I can smell your scent, so I’ll let that guide me. Cut the link. Shit!”

“Alex! What’s wrong?”

“You’re right. He has more hiding in the forests, but they aren’t just wolves and Lycans. There are also vampires here.”

“What does that mean?” I thought Lycans were able to overpower all three races.

“Nothing other than it will take me a little longer to get to you with how many there are but I will make it to you. Freya, I’m going to have to do something that I hoped to never do and I hope when it is all over that you can pull me back. Know that no matter what happens that I love you.” Before I can ask anything, the link cuts and I can’t open it. What does he mean by that?

“So, did your mate find my surprise in the woods?” He smirks at me and all I want to do is wipe it from his face permanently. I smirk back at him before replying, “You mean the wolves, Lycans, and vampires? OH my!” His smirk falls from his face, and I see that he no longer wants to play with me. I turn to the two guys behind me and look them over. Neither of them looks as though they want to be here.
