The Lycan King and His Mysterious Luna Chapter 98
I just stood there staring at her stunned after what she just said to me. How could I be becoming a witch? I’m a wolf not a witch. None of this makes any sense. Shaking my head, I remove my hands from hers and take a step back. David wraps his arms around my waist, and I lean into him for support. I don’t know how any of this is possible, but it isn’t like she is lying to me when the evidence is there. How else could I explain what’s been going on with me lately?
“How is this even possible?” I asked no one in particular.
“Well, your mother was more than likely a witch and because you weren’t taught from a young age, your powers took longer to manifest.” she says.
“This can’t be real. I don’t even know who my birth parents are and now I’m turning into something that I don’t understand because of one of them. I mean it is possible that my father could have been a warlock, right?”
“That’s possible but usually when a girl gets powers it is because of the mother. If you had gotten your powers from your father, then you would have been a full witch and not half. Don’t worry, we will help you control them.”
“I’m a witch.” I mumble to myself, but I know that David can hear me. Then, as it sinks in, I start to think about something. “Uh, how will this affect David and I as mates? I mean we will eventually have our mating ceremony and that means I’ll become a Lycan as well. Can I be a wolf, Lycan, and witch or will I have to give up something?” Everyone is looking around and I notice a few of the witches speaking in low tones before nodding at the head witch. What the hell is her name?
“No, you won’t have to give up anything. Look at Freya and Alexander. Sure, their powers are from the Goddess, but it is basically the same concept. They aren’t considered witches but power flows through them and it isn’t interfering with their wolves or Lycans. Your body can handle it, so no worries.” She smiles at me, and I feel David gently squeeze my waist.
“Okay, then tomorrow we can start my training. I know we are all supposed to be taking a week off, but if we wait that long I’m afraid I’ll make the pack disappear or something whenever my emotions go crazy.”
“We can start tomorrow if you like, or I could bind your powers until next week. The choice is yours of course.”
“If they are just manifesting is binding them a good idea?” David asks.
“It isn’t ideal, but it wouldn’t hurt her since she is a light witch, and she hasn’t done anything to harm anyone.”
“How do you know I’m a light witch?”
“If you weren’t then the jolt that you felt when I held your hands would have hurt you. Light and dark are natural enemies, and they don’t like being together, but they have been known to co-exist. That is why we mustn’t let Alexander’s dark side tap into his light.”
“His dark side? I thought it was just something evil possessing him.” said David.
“If only it were that simple. You see, if it was just a matter of a dark force possessing him, we could have fought and defeated the darkness with enough light. Since we are dealing with another side of Alexander, one I feel even he didn’t know existed or worse didn’t remember, then we will have to fight both his dark and light side if he is successful in using his light powers. The dark magic was put there by witches and can be drawn out but...” She trails off and a feeling of dread enters the pit of my stomach.
“But what?” asks David.
“But dark magic can only be pulled out if the infected person wants it to go.”
“So, you’re saying if our Alex isn’t in control then pulling out the dark magic won’t work?”
“That’s exactly what I’m saying. We have to find a way to block the dark side of him in order for us to be able to get rid of the darkness. The king will have to be present and willing or else we’ll be wasting our time.”
“How the hell are we going to be able to pull that off?” asks David.
“That my dear Beta, is the big question.”
