My Beastly Fertility System Chapter 5: The Fight Begins

Fiona clapped her hands and cheered.

"Mom is right! Ugly freaks should be punished when they do something wrong!"

Two strong beastfolk immediately came over to Claire, ready to take her to the punishment cave.

The other clan members pointed at Claire and whispered, while the little cubs who hadn't learned to shift into human form yet ran up barking at her.

Zane frowned and stepped forward, blocking the two beastfolk with his hands.

Claire suddenly transformed, her face becoming a fox's, and she growled at the pups to scare them.

The noisy pups got frightened and ran in all directions.

Claire changed back into human form and spoke to Hazel, "Excuse me, do you have any proof that I ate the Sacred Fruit?"

"Proof?" Hazel looked confused.

Claire explained, "Did anyone actually see me eat the Sacred Fruit?"

"Well..."

Everyone, including Hazel, looked at each other in confusion.

The news that Claire had eaten the Sacred Fruit had come from Fiona. No one had actually seen it happen.

Fiona puffed out her chest and stepped forward.

"I saw it! You stole the Sacred Fruit!"

The moment Fiona said that, Claire couldn't help but smile.

Because as Fiona opened her mouth, Claire noticed something strange on her tongue.

Classic case of pointing fingers.

"What are you laughing at? You stole it!" Fiona snapped.

"Really? Then do you dare swear to the Beast God?" Claire said with a teasing smile, looking right at Fiona.

She added, "I dare because I didn't steal it!"

In the Beast World, beastfolk were very devoted to the Beast God. Legends said that long ago, the Beast God had created their species.

Angering the Beast God could bring severe punishment.

Fiona's face turned pale, then red at the same time. She stammered for a long moment, unable to speak.

Hazel snorted heavily and stepped in to smooth things over.

"Claire, stop always threatening with oaths. Fiona is just too kind. She's afraid the Beast God will punish you if you swear. If you didn't steal it, would Fiona have said anything?"

With Hazel's words, Fiona seemed to find an excuse.

She forced tears from the corner of her eyes and said, "That's right. After all, Claire is one of our clan's females. Even if she does something wrong, a small punishment is enough. There's no need to trouble the Beast God!"

Claire was disgusted by both of them.

Especially Fiona, acting all dramatic and fake, while the other clan members nodded in agreement, clearly thinking Fiona made sense.

"Fiona, no matter who ate the Sacred Fruit, even if you won't say, I can still find out."

Claire stared straight at Hazel, giving her no time to think, and said, "Mrs. Miller, to prove my innocence, please have every clan member stick out their tongue. I have a way to find the real thief!"

Hazel shot a quick glance at Fiona, whose face had turned bright red, and immediately refused.

"Nonsense! Do you think I'll let you mess with everyone like that?"

Hazel's authority was absolute. No one dared challenge it.

"Mrs. Miller, even if you don't agree, I still know who stole the Sacred Fruit!" Claire said, her eyes returning to Fiona's face.

Fiona panicked, sweat pouring down her forehead, but she didn't dare move an inch.

Claire continued, "It's you, Fiona! Do you dare stick out your tongue for everyone to see?"

The clan members whispered among themselves, staring at Fiona in disbelief.

Seeing the female they liked being cornered, some of the males couldn't help but defend her.

"Claire, tell us—how can looking at someone's tongue prove they ate the Sacred Fruit? Hasn't it been too long? Could there still be any traces in the mouth?"

Claire explained, "Not like that. But three days after eating the Sacred Fruit, a black line appears on the tongue. No matter how you wash, it won't come off."

When she said this, the clan members around her stuck out their tongues at their friends, proving their innocence.

Of course, none of them had a black line.

Claire also showed her own tongue—soft, pink, delicate—but not a trace of black.

So all eyes returned to Fiona.

"I don't know what you're talking about, and I'm not cooperating. I'm going back to the cave to check on my fur tunic."

Fiona turned to run, but Zane stepped forward and blocked her.

"Zane, how dare you stop me?" Fiona shouted.

The two beast mates who had been following her rushed up and quickly started fighting Zane.

Both of them had beast marks, clearly Level 1 beastfolk, but even together, they were pushed back by Zane, who had no beast mark.

"What useless weaklings! Bruno, the three of you, aren't you coming at him? Beat him till he's picking teeth off the ground!"

Fiona stomped her foot and shouted toward the hunting team.

Immediately, three more beastfolk joined the fight, all attacking Zane at once.

Fiona looked at her five beast mates and shouted at Claire, full of pride, "See? You only have yourself to blame for being useless! You can't even get proper beast mates, and you still dare to cause trouble for me! Zane always protects you, but soon he'll regret it!"

Claire watched as Zane faced five attackers alone. He wasn't even a Level 1 beastfolk, and with just his two fists against five attackers, his body already had several cuts and bruises.

Suddenly, Zane transformed into a huge silver wolf, letting out a long howl, glaring at his opponents with fierce determination.

The other five also changed into beast form—two foxes and three bears.

The surrounding clan members quickly scattered, afraid of getting caught in the chaos, leaving a large open space for the fight.

Fiona tried to slip into the crowd and escape, but Claire grabbed her by the shoulder.

Both of them quickly shifted into their beast forms and tangled together in a fierce struggle.
