My Beastly Fertility System Chapter 93: Eighty-One Strikes

4 min 2 views

Claire was startled by Jeffrey's suddenly enlarged face and quickly stumbled backward.

Jeffrey burst out laughing.

"You're way too cute! Female, don't even think about getting away from me! Even that brat Davy got dragged into this because of you! Before, I still showed some mercy for being from the same kind and let him go. But now that he took you, that's absolutely unforgivable! Do you really think he can survive the lightning? Eighty-one strikes!"

Claire's pupils shrank sharply. Eighty-one?!

A normal person couldn't even survive one, and Davy had to endure 81?

Could he really make it?

And with Jeffrey, this monster, watching from the side, even if Davy somehow survived, he would probably still die at Jeffrey's hands.

Was it her fault that he ended up like this?

Claire felt a wave of guilt, but she quickly steadied herself.

She couldn't believe a word from this monster.

While putting distance between herself and Jeffrey, Claire kept watching Davy.

The dark clouds churned, and the thunder grew louder and louder. No matter where the drake moved, the clouds stayed directly above him.

Boom!

With a thunderclap that seemed to split the sky, a bolt of yellow lightning as thick as a wrist struck the drake.

Crackle!

The entire drake twisted in pain, no longer as calm as before.

Claire watched Davy with worry as the smell of something scorched reached her nose.

"Hahaha! Looks like we'll be eating roasted dragon meat soon! Female, aren't you excited?"

Jeffrey laughed wildly.

After the first strike, the drake visibly weakened. His body floated limply in the air, and the green mist around him had thinned.

His bright, sharp eyes dimmed, losing focus as he looked down at Claire.

"Davy! Keep going! I believe in you!"

Claire cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted encouragement.

Jeffrey dug at his ear, annoyed.

"So noisy. You think shouting a couple of times will help him get through this? Don't be naive."

Claire clenched her small fists.

"Damn it! Don't underestimate the bond between us, you jerk!"

Boom!

Another bolt of lightning struck down.

The lightning wrapped around the drake, tearing through every inch of his flesh and veins.

His scales began to crack, and blood started to flow.

Claire gritted her teeth as she watched, her heart pounding with the helplessness she felt.

One bolt after another struck in rapid succession, each one hitting the drake precisely. He bled in the air, wracked with pain, his scales falling off as blood rained down like droplets.

"Hahaha! Let it strike! Feel the pain! This is what happens when you go against me! You think you're so noble, but aren't you just the same as me, a cold-blooded rogue beastfolk? Do you really think you can escape your fate?"

Jeffrey laughed madly in the rain of blood, mocking Davy's overconfidence and reveling in the control he was about to gain.

Amid the continuous thunder, Claire slowly lifted her head.

A few drops of blood had landed on her pale face, like vivid red marks that made her look both fragile and striking.

With a determined smile at the corner of her lips, she looked at Jeffrey.

"Jeffrey, turning on your own kind, attacking your own brother, committing so many wrongs, the Beast God won't let you go!"

Her words sounded like a curse, branding themselves into Jeffrey's mind.

But he showed no remorse. He stared at Claire arrogantly, his blood-covered face making him look terrifying.

"Female, you're going to belong to me alone! Get over here!"

His figure flashed forward, closing the distance instantly as he reached for her slender neck.

Claire reacted quickly. Without thinking, she ducked and dove straight into the hot spring beside her.

"Hm? You actually dodged?!"

Jeffrey looked at the steaming hot spring, hesitated for only a moment, then jumped in after her.

Claire swam in the small spring while Jeffrey moved smoothly through the water, silently parting it as he quickly closed in on her.

But in less than two minutes, Jeffrey's face turned red, and it felt like his blood was boiling.

"Damn it!"

He slapped the water hard and had no choice but to get out.

His cold-blooded body changed with the temperature of the environment. Water over a hundred degrees Fahrenheit was too much for him to handle.

Claire had thought of this, which was why she had jumped in without hesitation.

Seeing Jeffrey standing by the edge of the spring, furious, Claire finally managed to catch her breath.

She looked up at the sky. Davy had already endured 59 lightning strikes. He was now covered in wounds, drenched in blood, with not a single intact scale left. Even one of his dragon horns had broken off.

Claire had been counting silently the whole time. 60, 61...

Davy was already on the verge of collapse, yet he still stubbornly lifted his head and charged into the lightning.

Such a fool.

But also an upright and admirable fool.

He could have flown over and used Jeffrey and her to block some of the lightning, but he didn't.

Even when it came to an enemy like Jeffrey, he felt that doing so wouldn't be honorable.

He wanted to defeat Jeffrey without relying on anyone else.
