She finally had a child.

Finally, the voice stopped.

Claire could now clearly hear Elodie's shocked cry.

"So many! Claire, you had so many babies! Eleven! That's incredible! The Beast God must be watching over you!"

As soon as Elodie cut one newborn's cord, the next came right after. She quickly handed the baby to Rufus.

Rufus wiped each one clean with soft fur and gently placed them on a small bed beside Claire.

The two of them were busy nonstop, lining the babies up side by side.

Claire was soaked in sweat too, not from pain but from exhaustion. If Zane hadn't held her hand the whole time, talking to her and encouraging her, she would have passed out long ago.
