Their fur was still very short, soft, and fluffy. They looked incredibly cute.

"Two red ones, two black ones, and the rest are white. Not a single one took after my golden fur!"

Claire felt a little disappointed.

But she quickly let it go.

No matter the color, they were all her babies. She loved them the same.

The feeling of them nursing was strange. It tickled a little, and there was a gentle pressure too. She couldn't help but want them to eat more.

After a while, the little ones were full. Their bellies were round, and a bit of milk dripped from the corners of their mouths.

"They're all full now, right? They sure can eat!"

Rufus leaned in, staring at the babies with curiosity.

Once they were full, the little ones fell asleep again, breathing softly.

"So they were just hungry! Claire really knows what she's doing!"

Rufus carefully picked them up one by one and placed them back in their small bed.

Claire shifted back into her human form. With Zane helping her, she slowly walked around the cave.

It didn't hurt much. She just felt sore all over. After a few steps, she ran out of strength and returned to bed.

At that moment, Pome's voice sounded in her mind.

"Master, you've just given birth. You can take a healing pill. You'll be fully recovered by tomorrow. Fast and reliable!"

Claire suddenly remembered. The system had given her a lot of rewards during labor.

She lay on the warm stone bed and closed her eyes. With a thought, a small pill appeared in her palm.

While Zane and Rufus weren't looking, she quickly popped it into her mouth.

A warm current rushed through her body. In just a few breaths, she felt completely restored. All the soreness was gone. She even felt stronger than before she got pregnant.

"So this is a healing pill? It really works!"

She thought to herself that she probably felt strong enough to take down a bull with her bare hands.

Pome's proud voice rang out again.

"Of course! And there's more good stuff. As long as you keep having babies, you'll get more rewards! By the way, Master, you can get pregnant again right now!"

Claire turned over and frowned.

"That fast? My body might be fine, but mentally, I'm not ready to turn into some baby-making machine."

Even animals needed time to rest.

Could she really keep going like this without a break?

Pome quickly reassured her. The system's advantage was clear. The more babies she had, the stronger they would be, and the stronger her own body would become too.

Claire pursed her lips and didn't answer. Instead, she eagerly checked her rewards.

The thing that excited her most was the food-preserving storage space.

She had wanted this for a long time, and now she finally had it. It was about 3,500 cubic feet. Not huge, but enough to store a lot. And everything inside would stay fresh.

Pome said whatever you put in would come out exactly the same.

Perfect for everyday needs.

The only downside was that it couldn't store living things.

With a thought, Claire saw a neat white storage space in her mind. In one corner were the rewards she got from giving birth.

Healing pills, painless birth pills, fertility pills... all clearly meant to help with childbirth.

There was also salt, different seasonings, and even a lighter. Her meals would be much better now, and starting a fire would be easier too.

The milk powder was useful too. For now, she could still produce enough milk herself, but she might need it later.

Then her eyes fell on a small floating plant. It was bright red, with three thin leaves. It looked a bit like an orchid, glowing faintly.

"Level 2 Mossherb? Is that what I think it is, Pome?"

"Of course! It's much rarer than a Level 1 Amethyst Berry. Without me, who knows how many years it would take to find one. Pretty amazing, right, Master?"

"That is amazing. So Zane can use it? He said he's already at the peak of Level 1 but can't break through to Level 2."

"Exactly! This reward is perfectly designed for you, Master!"

Claire smiled. "Not bad. Pome, you've been working hard. I bet you got a lot out of this too, huh?"

Pome answered without thinking.

"Yeah! You had so many babies in your first batch, I hit my performance goal right away! You have no idea—systems that used to bully me are all scared of me now!"

Claire raised an eyebrow.

"There's bullying in the system realm too?"

"Of course! It's everywhere. You don't know how hard things were for me before—"

Before Pome could go on, Claire pulled her attention back.

She slowly opened her eyes. The cave was quiet.

On the stone bed nearby, the babies slept soundly.

Zane and Rufus, however, were nowhere to be seen.

Claire jumped down from the bed with ease.

Just a short while ago, even walking had been hard. Now, after one healing pill, she was full of energy again.
