"On the way here, we ran into several groups trying to rob us. Good thing all my guys were armed, and we had the numbers, so they didn't dare try anything. But we did run into a gang of bald-headed men. They were arrogant as hell and came straight at us to block the boat. In the end, I had to pull this out to scare them off."

As Denton spoke, he drew a handgun from his waist.

Chandler, who had been silent the whole time, immediately showed caution. His finger quickly hooked onto the trigger of the pistol at his waist.

Mariella's expression did not change at all. She instantly understood what Denton meant. "You can get firearms?"

"As long as the price is right, there's nothing I can't get." Denton blinked. "With the world in this kind of chaos, Ms. Townsend should stock up on some serious protection too, just in case."

Mariella did not waste words. "What price?"

Denton immediately perked up. He removed the tactical belt around his waist and showed her several compact pistols, then took out a catalog.

"Besides handguns, I can get AK rifles, Gatling light machine guns, sniper rifles too, but they're expensive. I've got all kinds of ammo and grenades as well. Most people can't afford the prices. But Ms. Townsend has plenty of supplies, so that shouldn't be a problem."

While the two of them were talking, shouting suddenly came again from outside.

Patrick came rushing back, furious. "Boss, someone's stealing the money!"

In broad daylight, someone actually dared to come rob money right at the front gate.

Mariella and Denton each led their own people out, ready for a fight.

But outside the gate, other than Denton's men, there were only two people, one man and one woman.

Mariella looked closely and almost laughed in disbelief. It really was a small world.

The two people in front of her were Harvey and Jennifer.

She had heard Harvey caused a scene last night demanding to see her. She had directly told Matthew to release Lucky to bite him, and after that things had gone quiet.

She had not expected him to be this persistent and come back again today.

Too bad Lucky was not home. He had gone out on patrol with Number Five and Number Nine. Otherwise, he would have already lunged at Harvey and torn into him.

When Denton saw someone trying to steal his money, he flew into a rage.

They had run into plenty of robbers on the road, but this was the first one bold enough to act like this.

"Damn it, kid, who the hell are you? What CEO? So a CEO thinks he can rob people in broad daylight at someone else's gate? Boys, beat him! Beat him hard!"

Denton snapped and immediately gave the order.

His men did not hesitate. They responded at once and hit Harvey even harder.

Harvey was outnumbered and no match for them. He was beaten until his face was bruised and swollen.

When he saw Mariella come out, he struggled to fight back while shouting furiously, "Mariella, so it was you! You stole my vault!"

He should have realized it long ago.

That hidden stash had been top secret. He had not even told Roxanna about it, so how could it have been robbed?

It turned out Mariella, the insider, had been behind it.

At some point she had set her sights on his secret vault and secretly made her move after the flood left the company headquarters empty.

Thinking about how all the savings he had hidden there for years had been wiped out in one sweep, he hated her so much his eyes nearly bled.

"Stop hitting him! Please stop hitting him!" Jennifer's face had gone pale with fear. Her lips trembled, and her whole body shook.

Crying, she begged Mariella, who was standing nearby with folded arms watching the show. "Mariella, do something! If this keeps going, Mr. Graham will be beaten to death!"

Mariella raised a brow and smiled. "Oh? Then I guess I should step in."

She gave Chandler a look.

Chandler immediately shouted, "Number Two, Number Three, get in there and help. Beat him too!"

Jennifer and Harvey both fell silent.

In the end, Denton was afraid someone might actually die, so he finally ordered his men to stop.

Harvey collapsed on the ground like a dog with a broken spine.

Jennifer was so terrified she could not even cry anymore. She tried several times to help Harvey up, but he was hurt too badly and she could not lift him no matter what she did.

At that moment, one of Denton's men named Simon Bourn, leaned over and whispered a few words in Denton's ear.

Denton was clearly startled. Then he looked at Mariella. "So this guy is from Graham Group..."

"Who cares who he is? If he dared come rob people in broad daylight, he should've been ready to get beaten. Mr. Mack, don't worry. I'll take responsibility for this. Nobody's going to trouble you over it," Mariella said confidently.

Denton relaxed, rubbed his forehead, and said, "If Ms. Townsend doesn't see me as an outsider, just call me Denton."

Mariella remembered that when they first met, he had also rubbed his forehead and said he was not actually old, just aged badly.
