Apocalypse Queen: My Space, My Rules Chapter 177: Silenced for Good
"Mariella treating me like this only proves she still loves me!" Harvey said to Chandler, speaking with the only part of his body he could still move—his mouth. "She hates me because she loves me. That's why she's doing this. You're just her hired bodyguard. Your status is on the same level as her dog's. She tells you who to bite, and you bite. If you don't, she'll kick you out. Don't try to act tough in front of me. I'm not like you. She could never bring herself to kill me."
Chandler lowered his gun and pulled a combat knife from his waist.
Fear flashed in Harvey's eyes. His voice shook. "What... what are you going to do?"
Chandler gave a faint smile, but his eyes were cold. "You talk too much."
The blade flashed. Blood sprayed.
"Ah! Mmm—" Harvey clutched his mouth as blood poured out.
Chandler had cut his tongue. Harvey could no longer speak.
Roxanna had already wet herself earlier. Now, seeing Harvey tortured again, she lost control once more. The stench spread in the air.
Chandler didn't even bother looking at her. He had no interest in cutting her tongue.
He walked toward Jennifer with the knife. She trembled, almost losing control herself.
The blade flashed again, this time cutting the ropes binding her.
Chandler handed her a megaphone. His voice was cold. "If you want to live, do exactly what I say."
...
Tigre got word that someone was attacking No. 11. He thought it was Black Bear's gang.
He rushed out with his men, weapons ready, only to find a strange scene. At the entrance, there were no attackers. Just injured people.
Viola lay on the ground, clutching her side and groaning.
Two people lay nearby, covered in blood. One of them—a woman—reeked badly, likely from losing control.
Another woman crouched on the ground, holding a megaphone and shouting over and over, "Come quick! Harvey tried to run! He got caught and beaten! Everyone come and see for yourselves! Harvey tried to escape and got dragged back!"
Tigre finally recognized Harvey. He also recognized the foul-smelling woman as Roxanna—the delicate woman who used to stay by Harvey's side.
He knew Viola and Jennifer too. His eyes widened in shock.
"Shut up!" He grabbed Jennifer and pulled her over, lowering his voice angrily. "Are you trying to bring Black Bear's people here?"
The megaphone dropped from her hands. Jennifer looked miserable. "I didn't have a choice. Someone forced me to say it."
"What the hell happened? Explain it clearly, or I'll crush you!" Tigre snapped, shaking her.
He was a tough guy, but compared to Black Bear, he was nothing.
Still, he hadn't expected Harvey to be such a coward. This jerk was actually trying to run off without telling him.
"I-it was Mariella and her bodyguard. They're monsters." Jennifer's whole body shook as she spoke. Her legs trembled so badly she could barely stand.
If Tigre hadn't been holding her, she would have collapsed.
"Who the hell is Mariella? Can you speak clearly?" Tigre barked, shaking her again.
Jennifer burst into tears. "Mariella is the demoness from No. 98!"
At the mention of the demoness, Tigre felt his scalp go numb. Everyone knew that name.
He glanced at the guards already down near the entrance and suddenly felt uneasy. He didn't want to be next.
"Get them inside," he ordered.
One of his men pointed at Roxanna. "What about her?"
Before Tigre could answer, Jennifer quickly said, "She's the one who convinced Mr. Graham to run! She's the reason he ended up like this! And she smells terrible!"
Roxanna snapped angrily, "You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?!"
She glared at Jennifer, then quickly turned to Tigre with a pitiful look. "I was forced! Please, save me! I know there's a doctor in No. 8. Bring him here, and he can treat me and Harvey! Once I recover, I'll repay you properly!"
Tigre frowned at the smell but then thought it over. Once she cleaned up, she might still be useful. Besides, she was Harvey's woman. His interest grew.
He had always been curious about women from high society, especially those tied to powerful men.
The thought of taking Roxanna for himself felt like the perfect way to humiliate Harvey. "Fine. Bring her in too," he said at last.
...
Chandler cleaned the car, aired it out, and then sent Mariella a message. "All done. Want me to pick you up?"
"I'm already back at the villa."
Once the car was aired out, Chandler drove back.
When Mariella heard that Chandler had cut Harvey's tongue, she looked surprised. Yet, she was more pleased than anything else. "You really know how to make me happy," she said.
Chandler glanced at her. "As long as you're not upset, I acted on my own."
"He may have remembered things he shouldn't," Mariella said calmly. "But it's probably incomplete. Just to be safe, cutting his tongue was the right move." She didn't mention her rebirth. And she didn't say that Harvey might have remembered fragments of a past life.
