There were all kinds of melee weapons. Axes, kitchen knives, clubs, harpoons, shovels—just about everything you could think of.

She stored all the guns and ammo in her storage space. She didn't look down on the melee weapons either. She picked those up and stored them too.

In the future, supplies would only get harder to find. Most survivors would have to rely on simple weapons to fight and protect themselves. These could all be traded later.

She also stored the repaired armored Bentley. Now there was another luxury car in her storage space, and this one was bulletproof.

Just then, a video popped up in the homeowner group chat. People opened it and started giving thumbs-up right away.

It turned out that the Hancocks' hired sniper had shot through the fuel tank of the helicopter Harvey used to move supplies. The helicopter circled over Celestine Ridge once, then had no choice but to land back at No. 6.

Kieran quickly replied with a cheerful emoji and tagged everyone. "Mariella praised me!"

Still, this worked in her favor. She had built real authority in Celestine Ridge. From now on, her words would carry more weight.

Roxanna cried for a long time, but Harvey never came back to comfort her.

She knew things weren't the same anymore. He didn't care for her like he used to. So she wiped her tears, swallowed her hurt, and went to find him herself.

Harvey was meeting Black Bear. He wore a forced smile, nodding again and again.

Carp had been killed. That made Black Bear furious.

He not only yelled at Harvey but also tried to beat him.

Harvey stepped back. The bodyguards behind him pulled out their pistols.

The tension snapped tight. Both sides were ready to fight at any second.

Harvey knew Black Bear was a desperate man, and the people under him were just as reckless. If a fight broke out, Harvey wouldn't have the upper hand. He might even lose his life.

"Black Bear, I'm sorry for your loss." He forced out a couple of tears and put on a grieving face. "I never met Carp, but I've heard a lot about him. I didn't expect Mariella to kill him like that. This has to be avenged."

"Easy to say. Then you go do it!" Black Bear grabbed Harvey by the collar with one huge hand and yanked him forward.

The bodyguard panicked and raised his gun.

Bang! Before he could fire, Goldilocks, standing behind Black Bear, pulled the trigger first. The bodyguard was hit in the chest and dropped dead on the spot.

"Motherfucker, trying to start something with me?" Black Bear's eyes turned cold and vicious.

"Don't shoot! Nobody shoot!" Harvey quickly stopped his men. Then he turned back, bowing his head with a forced smile. "Please don't misunderstand. I have nothing but respect for you. That bodyguard was out of line. He deserved what he got."

"Hmph. At least you're smart." Black Bear let go of his collar and patted Harvey's face with a heavy hand. A strange, unsettling smile spread across his lips.

Harvey caught the sleazy look in his eyes and almost gagged.

He had heard rumors that Black Bear didn't care whether it was men or women. However, he never anticipated receiving such attention.

Still, he swallowed it down. He couldn't afford to lose control now.

"Black Bear, calm down. I'll have my people help get revenge for Carp..."

The moment he said that, Black Bear's anger flared up again.

"Don't even mention the guy you sent. Useless. Next time, make sure you send only those who can handle the job. No room for mistakes. Don't waste food on them."

But Harvey stayed confident. "This time is different. He planted someone inside No. 98. Tonight, that person can quietly open the front gate for us."

That caught Black Bear's attention, though he still looked suspicious. "If you had a trick like that, why not use it earlier?"

"The insider hesitated. If they caught him, they would kill him."

Black Bear slapped his shoulder hard. "Good. We move tonight."

The hit made Harvey stumble. Anger flashed inside him, but he didn't dare show it.

He was trained. He could already feel several sniper rifles were aimed at him from different angles.

If he showed even the slightest sign of resistance, he would end up just like that bodyguard.

Right now, all he wanted was to stall. Let Black Bear go after Mariella, and then find a way to escape Celestine Ridge as fast as possible.
