Apocalypse Queen: My Space, My Rules Chapter 175: Blood Ties Broken
"It's your fault, you shameless bitch!" Connor had clearly held this anger in for a long time. He grabbed her by the hair and shouted, "If you hadn't tempted me, I would've stayed with Mariella's mom. We could've been happy for life! And if you hadn't stirred things up, I wouldn't have lost my mind and done things I regret every day! If I had stayed with them, I wouldn't have ended up like this!"
Fannie stared at him, stunned. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Y-you regret being with me? Didn't you say you never loved her? That every day with her was going through the motions? Arghh!"
Before she could finish, Connor drove the knife straight into her chest.
Fannie's eyes stayed wide open. She would never finish that sentence.
"Ugh!" Connor yanked the knife out. Blood sprayed across his face, making him look even more twisted.
Roxanna screamed, clutching her head.
She wanted to protect her mother, but her whole body shook. She couldn't move at all.
"And you—ungrateful girl!" Connor turned on her with pure hatred. "Useless and heartless! I raised you like you were my whole world. And what did you do? You left me behind and ran off with Harvey!"
He didn't even wait for Mariella to force him. He charged at Roxanna with the blood-covered knife.
Roxanna saw him kill Fannie. Now he was coming for her. She was terrified.
She scrambled backward, trying to escape.
"Thud!" A bullet had previously struck Connor's injured toe. His legs gave out when he rushed forward. The pain made him stumble and fall.
The knife slipped from his hand and rolled right in front of Roxanna.
She grabbed it, shaking, and stabbed at him.
"Don't kill me! Please don't make me do this! I didn't have a choice! If I didn't go with him, he would've left me! I was scared!"
She stabbed him again and again. Connor had no strength left to fight back. He cursed through gritted teeth, "You... how dare you... kill your own father..."
Only then did Roxanna realize what she had done.
"Ah!" She dropped the knife. Her hands were covered in blood.
Connor's eyes were wide with rage and disbelief. He never imagined he would be killed by the daughter he had loved all his life.
Roxanna looked at Connor's lifeless body, his eyes still open, and screamed again, clutching her head.
Mariella let out a soft laugh. "Weren't you always bragging that you were your dad's favorite? He loved you so much. And this is how you repay him? You kill him with a stab."
"Mariella, you made me do it! You made me!" Roxanna broke down completely. Her tearful, delicate look was gone. Now she was crying hard, messily, and out of control, with no trace of beauty left.
Mariella was about to say more when she saw Chandler walking over, a gun in his hand.
He looked gloomy. So, she decided to finish this fast.
As she reached into her bag, she pulled out the antique dagger from her storage space.
Harvey, who had been playing dead, felt the familiar cold flash of the blade. He snapped his eyes open.
He blurted out, excited, "Mariella! That's the dagger you gave me!"
Mariella flicked her wrist, spinning the blade in a clean, sharp arc. "Do you like this knife?"
Harvey felt a chill run down his spine. Something was wrong. He stammered, "I know you truly cared about me before. I have let you down. I'm sorry. I really regret it—"
"Wait... Harvey, are you saying you regret breaking up with Mariella?" Roxanna, still sobbing, froze as the words hit her again.
The two things she had always been proud of were taking her father's love and Harvey's love away from Mariella.
They had both chosen her.
Today, she witnessed her father kill both her mother and herself. Her heart broke into a thousand pieces.
And now the man she loved was saying he regretted leaving Mariella. How was she supposed to take that?
Roxanna felt like her heart shattered all over again. It hurt even more than when she stabbed her own father.
Harvey didn't even look at her. He kept staring at Mariella, something complicated flashing in his eyes.
"Mariella, I know you're great with blades. You look amazing holding one. I've always liked that."
"I asked if you like this dagger," Mariella cut in, raising a brow.
Harvey swallowed and forced a smile. "I do. I really do. Mariella, I've kept it safe in my secret chamber this whole time—ahhh!"
"Slash! Slash! Slash!" Mariella cut him three times in a flash. "Trash like you doesn't deserve it. I'm taking it back."
Harvey screamed and rolled on the ground in terrible pain. He looked pathetic.
Chandler stopped walking.
This time, he didn't rush her to finish. He just stood there with his gun, watching with interest as Harvey suffered.
