Apocalypse Queen: My Space, My Rules Chapter 134: Keep Going
If anyone dared to force their way in, they would be shot on sight.
Because of that, the raiders' plan for a full assault was stopped.
After all, the people living in Celestine Ridge were wealthy. They had bodyguards, guard dogs, and plenty of ammo. It wasn't easy to break in by force.
After losing over a dozen men, the raiders paused their attack.
Harvey quickly changed his strategy and gave a new order. "Ignore them for now. Everyone gather up. Tonight, we take Imperial Crest Plaza and Greenfield Organic Farm."
The flood had gone down, but not completely. There were still about 10 to 13 feet of water covering parts of the area.
Food was still scarce. Power was down. Roads were blocked. Everything was still in chaos. No companies or businesses were running.
The rich people in Celestine Ridge were still living comfortably mostly because of two places—Imperial Crest Plaza and Greenfield Organic Farm.
If Harvey could take those, he would control a huge number of supplies.
Then he could recruit more people to work for him. Maybe he could even become the ruler of Liraelith.
Damian walked over and said, "Tigre is still at Villa 36 with his men. They're taking revenge."
The man nicknamed Tigre was the leader of the raiders from No. 101. He used to be a bodyguard for Villa 36 but got fired.
Harvey had promised to help him take Villa 36 as revenge. That was how he got Tigre to work for him.
Damian had always been loyal to Harvey, so today's operation was mostly a success under Harvey's plan.
They turned some of Villa 36's bodyguards to their side and used them to open the gate. Then they rushed in.
Tigre had always hated his former boss, so now that he had the chance, he wasn't going to hold back.
Harvey waved his hand. "Forget it. Let him do what he wants."
He wanted to use this chance to take Imperial Crest Plaza and Greenfield Organic Farm with his own men. That way, Tigre wouldn't try to take credit later.
All the supplies would belong to Harvey. He could decide how to share them.
"Oh, and tell our people to record everything," Harvey said quietly to Damian. "We can use it to scare others."
It was already past midnight. Roxanna was weak and tired, so she went to sleep first.
Harvey usually cared about her fragile health, but for some reason, he felt a bit annoyed now.
The world was already a mess, and she was still so delicate. She got sick so easily. It felt like trouble.
He suddenly thought of Mariella, holding an AK and fighting like a storm. He couldn't forget how fierce and sharp she looked.
In this new world, someone like Mariella—strong, dangerous, and deadly—fit better.
Harvey pushed down his uneasy feelings and forced himself to ignore them.
It was like when he made a bad business decision. Even if he knew he had taken a loss, he would still act calm on the surface.
Once he chose a path, even if the profit was small—or even a loss—he would finish it. That was his habit as a businessman.
Mariella was already his enemy. So, he could only keep going until the end.
...
Villa 36 was the first to fall. Their own bodyguards tricked them into opening the gate, and the raiders rushed in.
Tigre got his nickname because of the tiger tattoo on his body.
He was narrow-minded, held grudges, and often harassed young maids. That's why his employer hated him.
When the cuts to bodyguard staff happened, he was the first to be fired.
He never forgot the humiliation. He had always wanted revenge.
Now that Villa 36 had fallen, he wasn't going to let his former boss go.
He went crazy, beating the man over and over, ignoring his desperate pleas.
"Haha! Now it's your turn! Damn! You thought just because you had money, you could treat me like a servant? Toss me out when you didn't need me? Make me starve out there? Damn! I'm going to kill you!"
He beat the man hard, letting out all his anger.
The owner of Villa 36 was beaten until he passed out several times. He coughed up blood and couldn't even speak.
After venting his rage, Tigre finally felt better.
He kicked the man again and sneered. "Don't play dead. I'm going to take your woman right in front of you."
Some raiders had already dragged the man's wife out.
She was beautiful, elegant, and well cared for. Her skin was smooth and pale.
Tigre had wanted her for a long time. Before, he didn't dare act because of his status. He only targeted maids.
But now, he had taken over Villa 36. The husband was beaten half to death.
There was nothing stopping him anymore. He grabbed the woman and lifted her chin, grinning in a sick way. "You always acted so proud. Bet you never looked at me twice, huh? Tonight, I'll show you what I can do. I'm way better than your useless husband. From now on, you belong to me."
